These guys are amazing! From the owner Matt McNaughton, to his son Corbin, to Cameron. I had purchased a vehicle about a month ago when I turned in a lease, and when the time was quickly approaching to turn in another lease vehicle, I went back to 616 Motors and worked with Matt. Some things happened and I was not going to be able to get the vehicle I really wanted because of the disparity between the book value and the loan amount. Instead of Matt chalking it up to a lost sale, he brought the price down to where the loan amount I could get for the car was enough, even to cover tax, title, and license, so I did not have to come up with a balance. Because he did that, I know the business did not make much of, if any profit, and that is commendable. Matt REALLY went the extra mile for me and my family and we are exceptionally grateful. 616 Motors knows how to do business, knows how to value customers, and understands the immeasurable importance of customer service as it relates to gaining repeat customers! 2018 Subaru Outback review
I have the 2018 Outback 3.6R Limited, at 110,000 miles I replaced all struts and wheel bearing, the ride still isn’t the best but air pressure in tires kept at 39 psi has improved the ride significantly. I had a 2021 with the 4 cylinder engine and the reason I got rid of it was the cvt is fragile and doesn’t handle much weight or towing plus the screen and push buttons for everything, very distracting when driving and looking for the right soft touch function. I have had much better results going backwards to the 2018 6 cylinder engine and heavy duty cvt. It uses a 5W30 engine oil which is a million times better than 0W20 which honestly is really thin and breaks down quickly.

2018 Subaru Outback review
I bought my outback new in March 2018. After putting about 85,000 miles on it the only thing I had ever replaced for windshield tires and battery. The battery seems to go out most often every 30,000 miles or two years at about 85,000 miles we had an oil pan leak that was small but we had it repaired since it was covered under extended warranty. I’ve also had water leak into the drivers door, electronics and shorted out my driver‘s window. The Travers side seat bolster of leather, has also ripped and torn quite badly. However, I have not done a very good job at keeping it up overall it’s been a very good vehicle. Written April 5th 2026.

John understood my needs and responded quickly with Jeeps to review - after a bit of humming and hawing on my part, I changed my mind to trucks. I found a truck at another facility, John had it tranferred and within 2 days my soon to be truck arrived - and it is a beauty. John was training Matt and they both demonstrated immense knowledge throughout the interaction and I appreciated the ease of communication (not pushy). I cannot comment on the financing portion of the transaction, but closing went just as smoothly with Hubert and his supervisor. WHile impressed with my transaction I was also impressed with the amount of time that was placed on the training of new employees, or employees transferring. While yes my truck need a repair on the fog lights, it is covered under their warranty, I am highly impressed with my experience. From walking in the front door, to having John take my picture of me and my truck with a giant yellow ribbon... every individual at Carmax truly made the buying and trading experience a wonderful experience. Team Schaumburg, keep up the great work, each of you understand the true meaning of Customer Service, and that is important to some customers like me who still cherish old school values.

2018 Subaru Outback review
I think for the most part, I like my car. I have had a couple issues, one of them is probably not the cars fault, (but seeing other people have the same issue, it makes me wonder) I now have 50k miles on it and in that time I have only had to replace the battery and tires, to be expected on a 6 year old car. (and windshield) The windshield is the questionable item. It seemed to crack out of nowhere and I thought I must have gotten a small rock chip while driving down the highway and just didn't see it until it started to crack. So I replaced it at a cost of almost $1000. However, I am on an Outback form and it seems to be a common complaint with outback owners of this year, having the windshield crack out of nowhere. Could it be the frame design? Maybe, but it does seem suspicious that others have had the same issue. One other problem I have had is if I let my car sit unused for like 5 days, the battery goes completely dead. There seems to be a parasitic drain somewhere on the car. It doesn't happen if I drive it every day, but if it sits for about 5 days unused, the battery goes completely dead. I have read it has something to do with the DCS system in the car, but you have to pay the dealer a diagnostic fee to verify. I drive it enough I have not gotten it checked, but next time I am at the dealer I am going to ask them about it.
