Today, I brought my Subaru Outback to Dreyer & Reinbold in Greenwood to have my front brakes replaced, as another Subaru dealership had indicated that they needed to be replaced. To my surprise, the Service Consultant, Joey Mack, indicated that both my front and rear brakes were fine, and well within safe driving standards...thus, no brake replacement and no charge. Needless to say, the honesty of the service staff is highly commendable, and I will be returning for service and future sales there -- not Speedway Subaru, which gave me a faulty diagnosis and a $770 estimate. Got a fair deal. A month after purchase I met with Betsy who is their tech specialist. She went over many of the new tech features and was excellent at explaining the many new features my 2017 Forester didn’t have. Took my car in for its first service this month. Del was my service advisor. He explained their service philosophy. Car only needed an oil change and tire rotation so things were easy. Would recommend the sales & service at this dealership without hesitation.

2024 Subaru Outback review
We currently own the Outback 2024 XT, and it’s a great car to drive. However, its turbo CVT engine does produce a slight lag in acceleration and when slowing down. Just a matter of getting used to. Also had issue with the lift gate button, which broke after only two months in possession. My wife and I are in our 60s, and all our kids have their own families, so thank goodness we don’t have to drive those 8 seater SUVs anymore. This outback has been the best alternative for us.

This is the eleventh Subaru I have owned, the third outback; the Outback wilderness is by far the best performer of all of the others I have had. I have been happy with subarus from the first one I bought a 1978 Brat; sure wish i still had it.

2024 Subaru Outback review
The acceleration lag that this car has is immediately outweighed by everything else. This car is super smooth and granny sedan comfy, and it has more utility than any equally priced SUV. The roof rails have built-in cross bars that stow, it tows 3500 pounds, and the Harmon-Kardon sound system kicks. It has butt fans, people. Additionally, the aftermarket base is thick, so accessories, customization, and reflashing options abound. The tech is old, the powertrain is old, but you see 300 of them a day for a reason.
