Known issue with 2018 Dodge Ram and screen delamination. The whole unit is worthless at this point and will not stop beeping. Can't use the defrosters, rear backup camera will appear as your driving forward. Darken the screen and turns right back on. Turn the volume to zero and still beeps. Truck has 42k miles. Call Dodge/Chrysler and you get stonewalled by everyone. They acknowledge the known issue, but offer no cost assistance. First Dodge and first time contacting them.

  • Overall decent trucks but reliability may be the?

I bought my 2018 Ram 2500 6.7 cummings three years ago to pull our ~8000lb Travel Trailer when loaded. And was pleasantly surprised by how much better it pulled than my 1/2 truck that did meet the tow specs for this trailer. I also purchased thinking the cummings 6.7 would go for miles with just basic maintenance items. I really like the looks of the truck the technology to me that is just enough but not over the top. The one disappointment I have had is that at 114,000 miles the head gasket blew, that really surprised me as I really stay on top of general maintenance. Its now fixed so I hope I don't see any other major repair items for at least another 100000 miles, but time will tell as the truck is 6 years old now.

  • STAY AWAY

Ram should be ashamed of this truck .... used to make good products ... we have had nothing but trouble ... replaced DEF injector (twice) - the first time was BAD ...cheap bolts broke off and had to be drilled out : all over them spending a couple bucks to put decent bolts in ... NOW , we have not been able to even use it because the ABS module is setting off alarm and RAM can not even get the parts... for many months... and they have already changed the part because the first ones they had originally in them were junk.... and even though this is happening to alot of them ..RAM will not recall and it is $2000 to fix....IT IS UNSAFE TO DRIVE : THERE IS A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT BTW ... the DEF injector replacement is over $3000.

  • 2018 dodge ram 2500 junk

2018 2500 diesel. Engine lights everytime I turn around. Replaced fan clutch 22k miles. Replaced radiator 24k miles. Had to purchase extended warranty because I have no fath when traveling with my 5th wheel. Dealer said nothing they can do but I could trade it in for a new one😳

  • Most unreliable truck I have owned.

Too many problems for a truck with only 54k miles. Defective low engine coolant sensor. $800 to replace the sensor and coolant reservoir with same faulty design/parts. Class action law suite? Left and right ball joints need replace on truck that is supposed to be "Off Road" but has rarely seen an unpaved or rough road.

  • Extremely reliable, and strong!!

I had the linkage recall replaced May 2019. Jan 2021 I replace the tires and as a part of the package, it had an alignment for the Trk. It was slightly off and it has always pulled to the right slightly. The Mechanic stated he could not finish the alignment as the recall required the linkage to have the nuts welded.... If you are going to have the recall fixed, make sure you do an alignment 1st .....

  • Reliable car that I owned Honda And for truck GMC

Ever since i got the truck it’s been nothing but problems. Clutch went out with only 8000 miles. Also when towing my 7,000 to 8,000lbs travel trailer will not shift to reverse when is hot out. Took it to the dealership because it’s still under warranty and I got charged $200 and they found nothing. That is ridiculous. Now with only 25,000 miles the check engine light came ON. What's Next ? This truck is junk in my opinion. Expensive junk.

  • meets my needs

Truck meets my needs, plenty of power to tow my trailer. The OEM tires (Firestone Transverse) are trash and a disappointment. Such compromise does not benefit Ram reputation. Would prefer better fuel economy.

  • Amazing power, amazing capability.

The Turbodiesel is worth the extra $9000 or so. It's truly impressive on and off road. Even cornering is not bad given the nature of the vehicle.
