Service guys are terrific. Service department meets all expectations, sales is a completely different matter.
Unfortunately the sales department solidifies the shyster image of car salepersons. I leased a 2017 x1 in January this year after hours of negotiation. The deal concluded at night so a through inspect of the vehicle did not happen. The next day I brought the vehicle back as there were two deep scratches on the vehicle. My salesperson said I would not be charged at the end of the lease, but he did not note it in my file as I requested. He did take pictures of the scratches and emailed them to me from his personal email, which corporate BMW said they could not honor. I am a business partner in BP where this dealership is located and I allowed BMW to store 200 vehicles within our parking structure at a discounted rate. The duration was for 3 months, but I allowed them to extend this over a year. Upon terminating the vehicle storage contract, I included my above problem to the Auto Nation GM who did say that service would take care of the scratches. Service did attempt to remove them, but the grooves were so deep, they could not be buffed out.
Additional irony in this scenario is brand new 2108 x1's are being TV advertised at $299.00 per month. My 2017, leased in 2018, costs me over $400.00. Buyer beware!
