Good experience with a bump along the way
July 31, 2018
My wife had been looking for a particular car and found it on their website. She called and spoke to a salesman (Justin) and she began texting with him. We drove more than two hours to get there. Upon arriving, the guy she had been talking to wasn't there and Chris helped us. They did a great job in answering questions and even had the service guys clean the rotors that were causing a bumping sound when she applied the brakes.
When we began working on the price, my wife quoted a price that Justin had given her. Our salesman called him and that info was incorrect. It was a misunderstanding and wasn't too big a deal. Justin, the professional car salesman, called my wife, was very short with her, repeatedly said in an unpleasant tone "those words never came out of my mouth!" and he finally hung up on her. He immediately called Chris, who was sitting across the desk from us, and I could hear him on the phone from several feet away. At this point we almost, and probably should have, walked away and came home.
Chris tried to smooth it over and Dan, the team leader, came over and apologized profusely for Justin's behavior. We stayed, worked with them like adults and agreed on a reasonable price for our car. They stayed past their closing time, had the car detailed, filled it up with gas and apologized repeatedly for the way my wife was treated on the phone.
I am thankful that Chris and Dan were so gracious and helpful. I generally do not write reviews online but I want people to know what they are dealing with at this dealership. There are some great people working there and we enjoyed dealing with them. However, I will not forget, or forgive, Justin for the way he spoke to my wife.
