2023 Cadillac Escalade review

2023 Kia Sportage Plug-In Hybrid review
I have close to 3,000 miles after 2 months on the X-Line Prestige trim. My previous vehicle was a 2019 Subaru Crosstrek, so I wanted a vehicle that would allow me to get through some less-than-ideal roads to trailheads on the weekends, with a combination of ground clearance and AWD when needed, as well as use minimal gas (if any) on my daily commutes to the office. The vehicle handles similar to the Crosstrek, in that it is comfortable to ride in, but it does have a little more "sway" and "bounce" in the suspension when going around curves. The engine has similar pickup, even with the electric engine assist. In EV mode, it definitely does not have the aggressive acceleration that the Chevrolet Bolt has. It is fast enough to not be a merging danger on highways, but definitely feels soft. If you are in hybrid mode with the engine running, you can feel a more immediate response when pushing on the accelerator. The technology is well ahead of anything I have been involved with. The Crosstrek had eyesight safety technology, but the Sportage has much more, including very helpful blind-spot cameras. The adaptive cruise control is as good as the Crosstrek, although there is an annoying delay between when you lift your foot off the accelerator and when the vehicle takes over the acceleration. The speed drops several MPH and then picks back up, causing a rubber-band bounce feel. Unlike the Crosstrek though, the spacing between vehicles is consistent and excellent. There is so much technology that it can be initially overwhelming, so it is best to learn it as you drive over the course of a week or three. The odd choice that Kia made as to where to put the data port for your mobile is a bit annoying. There is one data port and the rest of charge-only ports, two of which are USB-C ports built into the side of the front seats, which are convenient for both front and back seat passengers. Since I use Android Auto always when driving, you have to get a very short cable to plug in to your mobile device, or it won't sit flat in the compartment. A better setup would have been built-in wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, which would allow you want lay your phone unimpeded on the charging pad that is built right under the data port. The EV-only mode has been consistently getting me around 34 miles, just enough to get me to my office parking garage where I can recharge it fully during the day. If I only use it for commuting I could basically never use the gasoline up in the tank. When you are in hybrid mode on a fast highway, don't expect to get much more than 34-36 MPG, because the vehicle is heavy riding on 19" tires. If you keep it at 60 or below, you will see the MPG shoot much higher up into the 50s. I keep it in Eco mode all the time. I did pay the extra $500 for the matte paint which makes the vehicle look great and unique, but you do have to take special precautions with it when washing the car, otherwise you it will show every nick and scrape.

So I payed 32,000 for 2 rav4 2025...... 34,000 price minus the 18,000 trade in made it 16,000 each one. Like I like got 2 for the price of one.

2023 Mazda CX-5 review
I am delighted with my 2023 CX-5 Signature in the hard-to-find Eternal Blue. I've had it about one year now and it's more than adequate for my driving needs. No, I don't need a rattle-prone pano sunroof. The six-speed non-CVT transmission is just fine. Never need or use(less) the paddle shifters. Performance with regular fuel is just fine. As an "early senior", I don't need huge cargo or passenger space. Only complaints are the Apple CarPlay isn't wireless; and miss the power tilt/telescope steering wheel and power memory exit seat that I had on my unbeloved '20 Lexus NX (which I was glad to get rid of!). All told, I'm a Mazda believer and buh-bye Lexus!

2026 Nissan Frontier review
Following several months of research and comparisons, I bought a 2026 Frontier Pro-4x long bed. Absolutely love it. The truck is very comfortable and very well built, solid 6cyl engine and smooth as butter 9 speed transmission. I got both the convenience pkg and the premium pkg and glad I did. The premium pkg includes the TailorFit(™) synthetic leather seats that are much more supportive than the cloth seats, softer than Napa leather but much more durable. I do not find the hydraulic steering “heavy” at all, I find it to be very smooth and responsive. There are lots of very good aftermarket accessories available for the frontier. Overall, I believe this is the best value in a midsize pickup, perhaps tops in dependability as well (maybe ties with 2026 Toyota, but their new 4cyl turbo’s dependability is unknown). Consider the long-bed, it is the ultimate combo of midsize truck with super-size functionality. The LB seems to drive smoother on the highway and the extra length in the bed can fit things that many full size pickups cannot. It is terrific!

2019 BMW 330 review
Not the kind of car I expected, but I have been more than happy with it. The 2019 330i xDrive has been safe, efficient, and makes you feel like you are flying in a Boeing 777 or an F-18. It is quieter, meaner, and comfortable for long trips. That being said, some maintenance costs are high, but if you keep it for long run and maintain it thoroughly, it will last long enough.

My Lease was up on my 23 Escape and I decide not to lease another car. I ending up buying one of the last year model of the Escape. This way it will be mine. Marlo H was great as always. She had us look a a bronco sport but we wanted to see the 26 Escape. We loved the color and it has all the bells and whistles we need. Financing was great and we were out of Malouf with the new Escape in about 3 hours. Way to go Marlo. I will always use Malouf.
2023 Audi Q3 review
Very comfortable drive and ride, has all the top shelf features for comfort, technology, safety . Sturdy buttons, interior materials are high class. Can take 89/91 grade gasoline. City drive is 25mpg, highway is upto 32mpg. oil change intervals is 10000mile . Seats in the back recline by adjustment, making it comfortable in long drives. Recently had a 14hour highway drive- was feeling refreshed even at the end of the day. The highway drive at night was not fatiguing to the eyes, likely because the glass quality must be really good compared to other brands. Wish they had a hybrid version to get better mpg or even better, a plug in hybrid version would be welcome for the future. The trunk space is small and can fit only one international size suitcase.

I worked with Ron Terry who helped me lease a new Honda Civic lease and return my old Honda Civic lease. Ron listened to what I was looking for and the deal numbers that he presented to me during our second meeting held up, did not change, throughout the sales process. He meant what he said and did what he said. As we were finalizing the deal and ran into some issues with the financing he quickly adjusted the deal so we could finalize it and the final deal actually came out slightly better, not worse that what we had discussed. I could drove out of the lot after a couple of hours and leave the old lease with Ron. He even helped me charge my iPhone in the middle of it all. Ron is highly recommended and I will for sure contact him again the next time I need to get or trade in for a new car.
2023 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid review
The car has been great with one glaring exception. The 2023 Rav 4 navigation system and manuals explaining it are far from easily understood by some of us with advanced degrees and years of experience in writing and interpreting complicated financial documents. The 2023 Nav screen is as much a distraction as driving while using a mobile phone a highly discouraged practice., perhaps more dangerous. Our 2028 Rav 4's Nav system and manual were easily understood. intuitively structured and easily used during our drives and with a safe screen. Somehow the 2023 version escaped those virtuous characteristics and is one that has made me start to consider trading our 2023 in after 7 months.

2023 Honda Pilot review

2019 Audi Q3 review
I originally wanted Q5, however for a busy city like DC I had to come compact.. actually sub-compact :) I like Q3 in a newer body (2019+) as it’s not only designed great but also has interior and safety features! This fall I’ve got used to a fully loaded grey metallic Q3 2019 S Line Premium Plus. Superb! Lots of safety features, big console, and display, panoramic roof, aggressive look, small city size, and space full trunk. I’m 6.2’. As tall I’m I sit comfortably and have a space for another 6ft behind me. Comfort. Style. Technology. Safety. All you need to know about the new Q3. The only one you have to consider - is the gas mileage. It gives me on average 21. However someday you can even put regular and it still runs. Going for the premium plus now and with a full tank to drive up to 350 miles. I would not change anything. It is a drive and is steady even during rain. So, you got what you paid. Used with 35K miles great choice for me as I have no kinds at the moment. Go for Q5 if you have to drive family members or need more trunk space (family or 4. Airport rides) Get it!

2015 Honda CR-V review
One year and 37,000 miles later, my 2015 Honda CR-V EX-L, purchased from Bill Kay Honda, has exceeded all expectations! I bought this gem with 50,000 miles on the clock, and it's been nothing short of a dream. Dependability is the name of the game here – this car hasn't skipped a beat. Gas mileage has been consistently impressive, making both city commutes and long road trips a breeze. As expected with any vehicle of this mileage, routine repairs have been standard, but nothing out of the ordinary. The EX-L trim package adds a touch of luxury with its leather interior and upgraded features, making every drive comfortable. The spacious interior and ample cargo space have been perfect for everything from grocery runs to weekend getaways. Having finally taken the plunge into the Honda world, I now understand the rave reviews from my mechanics. This CR-V has proven its worth, and I'm a loyal Honda convert for life! I want to specifically mention the excellent service I received at Bill Kay Honda, especially from my salesman, Bert Tvrz. The sales process was smooth and transparent, and Bert went above and beyond to answer all my questions. Upon first impression I wasn’t sure how this was going to go. There was no receptionist and there was no organization as to who to speak to once I got there. But once I was placed with my sales manager Alex, the experience became a different story. He was helpful, professional, but very real. He didn’t xxxxxxxx, lie, or act like he knew things he didn’t, which I appreciate! Even though I was liking at a used Ford he didn’t try to sell me in something I didn’t want. He just gave his honest opinions and knowledge to help me make my decision. I didn’t buy right away, which was actually encouraged by him, to see the other vehicle I had in mind. Even gave me tips on what to look for when seeing other used vehicles, which was welcomed. After viewing the other vehicle and having the exact opposite experience with a local Ford dealer, I chose to go with car at Toyota of Hackensack even without an CPO certification, simply because I just trusted them more, they were upfront with all the costs. Alex didn’t try to slip anything by me when we sat down for pricing. The price was exactly what I expected to pay given the sticker price. I was assisted with getting a great rate on insurance by the dealership, and the finance guy Steve was just as helpful and easy to work with. They matched a finance rate I was approved for by another bank. Steve didn’t hard sell me on an extended warranty, but explained everything pretty well and gave me time to think and research. Overall I came away with a very good experience and so far, a great car. I would definitely recommend dealing with Alex and Steve at Toyota of Hackensack!

After years of diesel Mercedes use, this plug-in hybrid rav4 is mind blowing in comparison. 93mpg after 13,700 miles. I only put premium fuel in this car because i never know when i'll use the ice engine. 500 highway miles range with a full tank.

2023 Honda Odyssey review
This is my second Honda Odyssey Elite having traded in my 2019 for a 2023. Why did I make the trade? I hadn't had any problems with my 2019, but the trade in value of my 2019 made the purchase of a 2023 a "no brainer". I had considered purchasing a Toyota Sienna Platinum because of the fuel economy. But the price of the Toyota was so much higher than the Honda, especially when you consider that the Rear Seat Entertainment System costs extra on the Toyota and dealers are adding premiums above MSRP. I calculated I would have to drive the a Toyota around 80,000 miles before I would actually begin saving money on gasoline.

It’s a great practical car. No frills, reliable, and spacious. Very efficient given its size and space. Is it going to win any competitions for speed and luxury? No. But will it get you from A to B with a bunch of space, slowly sipping on gasoline? Yes!

2023 Tesla Model X review
I recently purchased. a Model X Long Range to replace my 2021 Audi e-tron; I couldn’t be happier. The Tesla is faster, more efficient, and more fun to drive and the charging network is second to none. Interior quality and ride are comparable. My dogs love the extra room and Dog Mode in the Tesla. I have no regrets!

2024 Honda Accord review
Got this car as part of a trade with my 2013 Chevy Malibu. It's not a bad car did have a few issues with the spark plugs that came out of nowhere. And they had to be replaced along with a few other issues but outside of that it's been a pretty reliable car that has gotten me from point a to point b. Everything works well the Bluetooth has worked wonders along with the seats being comfortable and it drives smooth.
