Used Subaru Forester for sale near Pantego, TX

Bought a car last week from Meghan Drake. Meghan was awesome. She is everything you always wished a car salesman would be. My first Subaru although each of my kids had a used one as their first cars. Very well made, It is quite comfortable but I wish the seats went up a little bit more. I bought the Premium model and it has everything you could ask for. Handles great, has more than enough oomph, and I am averaging around 26.5 mpg in mostly city driving. Took a 200 mile out and back trip, and averaged 34.8 mpg. I will certainly buy another Subaru when it is time, usually every 2-3 years.

They made the whole process so smooth and hassle free my salesperson was awesome he did the put any pressure or on me and made it really easy i got to take my car home the second day!! This is my third Subaru Forrester. I like the newer safety features and ease of handling. The size is perfect for me, not too small or too big! I would recommend if you’re looking for a midsize vehicle.

I purchased the 2023 Wilderness trim in August and I chose it because I live in a very snowy and mountainous area. I certainly needed an upgrade from my trusty 2wd, low-clearance hatchback. I can watch the season change with more peace of mind with its high clearance, AWD and features like Starlink and X-mode ready to step in when called upon. I’m a huge fan of the vehicle’s exterior styling and the interior feels luxurious and durable. The cabin is well-insulated from engine and road noise. One drawback is that the sound system lacks depth even with the base turned all the way up (I don’t have the Harmon Kardon stereo option). I’ve never owned a car with a sunroof before and I love letting in extra daylight and looking up at the cliffs and trees during stops so I can’t imagine life without it, now. Even the low beam headlights provide clear-as-day visibility on the darkest nights, but I’d be worried about blinding other drivers so I’d give more follow distance. Many reviewers seem dissatisfied with its acceleration, but it hasn’t felt underpowered to me and I drive a Chevy Suburban for work. It feels like I’m barely touching the accelerator to cruise up steep grades, but I’m a leisurely driver so my expectations differ. :)

I have owned my 2017 Forester since late 2016. Except for normal maintenance I've had no problems with thr vehicle. All of the warning systems work very well,they have saved me from accidents numerous times. The automatic seat repositioning when some one else has used my is really handy eliminates all the adjusting needed to get the position back to my needs. Traction and controll during winter and bad weather are excellent. My forrester get used like a truck at times. Great overall car.

My brother-in-law recommended that I check out car max when needing to purchase a good used car. First I went on line to see what cars were available. I found exactly what I wanted, in my budget, at the Plano location. Luis Delatorre, my fabulous agent, at the Fort Worth, River Ranch Blvd., had the car transported to Fort Worth and I purchased it on sight! I Drove it around the block, and had all the paperwork efficiently delivered to me within 30 minutes! I've found my future dealership and will recommend Car Max to anyone who will listen to me!

Had this car for seven years, never any problems, very low mileage. Very nice to drive, smooth gas mileage around 30 mpg. Traded it in for a new forester, I actually was ready to cry, when I left it. Very reliable.

Our BMW X5 was just out of warranty and would in need some costly repairs. On the fly, my wife and I️ went to Sewell Subaru since we love the dealership. Unfortunately, where we are with our finances we needed our X5 paid off and a lower payment on the Subaru. We were headed towards leasing and this situation helped us. Will worked with our monthly figure and was super duper patient, helpful, fill up our gas and washed our car twice. He was super transparent and helpful in getting us comfortable. He was great to my daughters too. Special recognition for Michael the finance manager to getting my deal done. We leased a 2020 Ascent Touring and we love the SUV with so much more space for the 3rd row. I️ would recommend picking this dealership and paying a little more one time and get this great dealership who prides themselves on first class service!! Outstanding vehicle. Quiet, dependable, comfortable. Acceptable power and economy. Pity the turbo is no longer available. This is our fourth Subie. No issues with any of them. Change the oil every six months and do the timing belt at 100K miles and it’s good for 200K plus.

the forester sport is very reliable get 26 mpg on most of my daily commutes. Drives great in the winter (even though I have the same tires they came with). Traveling in it on road trips are great, 31 mpg using the cruise control and lane assist. It's not a very fast SUV but it honestly worth it. I tend to speed, but it's not something that actually bothers me. I was worried it would be too sluggish. I picked the forester for my road trips, and extra stuff I drive with.

I bought a car here, I took plane from Detroit to Dallas, bought a BMW X5 diesel from them, I have very good experience with Amanda, she sent me the carfax and additional pictures of the car that i asked her ,was in and out in 30min!!!! I had tolled Amanda to inform me if she gets any BMW 335 convertible in, I would buy again!!!! The only think that I didn't like is they couldn't pick me up from Dallas airport which is 25min a way, I will suggest them that they should pick up all the costumes that come from out of state to buy from them especially the one like me that paid for the car cash!!!!!!

LOVE this car, maybe a little biased since this is my 5th Forester, my 2nd Wilderness. My first Wilderness was totaled in a head-on collision when a young driver spilled coffee and veered into my lane and struck me head-on. That was my 1st Subaru Forester Wilderness and IT SAVED MY LIFE. Full curtain all-around airbag deployment with a roll, the Wilderness coming to rest on it's right side, me still strapped into seatbelt, and the Subaru automatic crash notification with a live person on the speakers asking me if I was ok and needed 911! Smoke still coming from the airbag deployments, and there is a live person coming over the speakers asking me if I'm ok. It was surreal. SUBARU FORESTER WILDERNESS SAVED MY LIFE! TYVM Subaru! LOVE this car! Gets 25+ MPG with conservative driving, a great ride and suspension, superior traction in mud and snow, load-out practically anything/rack bikes (or whatever on the roof racks), sleep in the back with ample room, superior rear-gate lift mechanism with memory, seats super-comfortable and easily adjustable, solid rear-seat leg-room, easy rear-seat fold-downs for massive cargo area that takes my full HVAC tool load-out for servicing ice baths all over the NorthEast US. A great value, especially CPO with +10K mileage (vs. new) MONEY WELL SPENT! SUBARU FOR LIFE

I went in with the intention of buying a car, I wanted to get a used but good car from the lot. I was trying to test drive some vehicles but the employee insisted we talk numbers first, that was a bit annoying but i could live with it. Over all the trip was ok and i learned a lot about financing.

I recently had my car stolen and totaled. I actually work for the dealership and enjoy the work I do with the company. Mr krohn has been helping me out for the past month and a half with a car. It has been difficult but with the patience and time he has given my mom and I, I could not be more grateful for him! He worked with my mom and I till the very end and has been nothing but helpful. I ended up getting a 2019 subaru forester. Lots of room and a perfect vehicle into the middle of my adult life. I hope this car lasts me through the next few years. I've never owned a Subaru before but after purchasing the Forester, I may never own anything but a Subaru again! I love the Eyesight Drivers Assistant that it came equipped with. I can see why this car has one of the best safety ratings out there. The interior is very open, spacious, & comfortable and the panoramic sunroof is amazing! It drives and handles like a dream. I would recommend this car to anyone. You won't be disappointed!

I was wanting to just buy a car outright no financing. The just up and let me do that, there was no hassle at all. They were all very soft spoken, (though that might be why it was hard to hear them over the phone lol ).

I was between a rock and a hard place after my Honda passed away-it drove itself to its demise due to the handbrake not on tight enough. So I had nothing to trade, no leverage. I know Subarus owned many Outbacks and they go forever. The problem is I'm 5' tall and this car is too big for me after the Honda and a Miata I have. I had 2 big dogs and felt the car would be great for a dog owner. Which it is. One dog rode on the back seat (covered) the other had the back to herself. Great for a dog owner. If you need a crate there's plenty of room. This would be a great vehicle for a children or pet family. I only have one 10 yr old dog left and this uses too much gas for me to consider a practical vehicle.

Likes: spacious interior despite modest exterior dimensions, easy to maneuver, great visibility all around, comfortable ride, good traction, handling, and braking, nice interior finish on sport model, strong steering responsive headlights yet they don't blind opposing traffic, very good optional Harmon sound system, numerous effective safety features, low insurance premiums, adequate acceleration..a few cons: actual economy slightly under EPA estimates, seat may be a bit too firm for some but easy to address by adding a thin seat cushion, mandatory sunroof on all but the base model..I wish Subaru would just make that a single option..rough engine start-stop ..however I disable it each time I start engine so it can be a non issue...no reliability issues yet but since this has a cvt and fairly complex safety features, long term reliability is unknown..

I was impressed how well I can see out of the car at all angles. It is difficult for me to turn my body due to neck, hip and back problems. I am 5'10" and have very long legs. This car also has alot of head and leg room. My daughter rides comfortably in her booster seat in the middle seat. I feel I have more control and better handling with this car then any other. I have had a Honda Accord, Volvo XC90, Toyota Corolla and Cadillac Deville in recent years. My only complaint is the front seats are uncomfortable. (My other car is a Deville which feels like a recliner.) There isn't anything fancy about the car but I just have the base model. I am happy with all the features and the gas mileage is awesome. There is a ton on truck space.

This is our second Forester. Our first was a 2011 Premium we bought as a CPO in 2014 and unfortunately went through the headache of excessive oil consumption within months of buying it. Subaru did eventually replace the engine short block on their dime, but only after repeated oil consumption tests and being told by the dealer service department that it was within normal limits. Calling Subaru of America was the only way we got it resolved. I was impressed that they approved the service, and that's the reason we bought another Subaru. We also have a 2018 Outback Premium in our garage--no oil consumption, and no major issues except replacing the radio for failed lighting behind the volume knob and a minor leak in the oil pan (no dripping underneath the car though) at about 42k miles. We like our 2023 Forester Sport overall, and first and foremost we like its excellent safety ratings and features. I will say the ride is much firmer than our Outback which is only a couple hundred pounds heavier. Wish it had a little more storage in the center console and beneath the climate controls. We look forward to many years of driving with the Forester (and our Outback). Based on our experience, I do feel getting a Subaru-backed extended warranty is worth it for peace of mind (we bought them for our first Forester and now our Outback and both eventually paid for themselves). You DON'T have to buy the warranty when you purchase the vehicle. Call different dealers in your state and ask for their price on an extended warranty for your vehicle--we saved hundreds of dollars by doing this. You have until your manufacturer warranty expires to add an extended warranty.

I've traded in my old Mercedes for a newer model. From the moment I visited the dealership everyone was very nice, friendly, courteous and professional. They took the time to show me a few cars I was interested in before I was able to make my decision. It has been a fantastic experience and a very smooth transition from beginning to the end, thanks to guys like Joel, Oscar, Mike and Jhonatan. They have made my shopping and driving experience so much smoother than I ever imagined, and of course they made me an offer I couldn't refuse. Other than battery replacement , car has been amazing ! 1 exception cup holders are located too far aft and require driver to look down to locate cup without removing eyes from road ! This issue has been partially addressed in later years by offsetting passengers holder slightly forward of drivers, but still awkward position ! both should be more forward nearer to dash !

Bought my 2015 Subaru 2.0XT Touring brand spanking new off the Subaru dealership's lot. Have owned it all this time about 9 years straight. Take care of your car with regular oil changes, servicing at recommended intervals, and your car will take care of you. Performed the required recalls during service periods. Not 1 single regret on owning this car, ever. It rides smooth and true. Had a clicking issue in the ball joints 2 years ago which Subaru fixed free of charge. Other than that, this car has been my dream machine.

This was my first experience with Sewell and Subaru. Everything about the dealership "oozed" professionalism. As an independent older woman, I was never talked down to or treated differently. In my experience with buying or repairing cars, that is huge. We notice. William Hunt was my sales associate and, in my opinion, is a wonderful example of the Sewell ethic. I have had a 21, 23 and now a 25 Subaru Forester Premium and over the years they have gotten better. I didn’t think I would like the large screen but now after two weeks of driving it, I’m loving it. It is a safe and reliable vehicle for small families and seniors like me.

I’ve driven the Forester before and have been wanting one for two years. So now that it was time for me to give up my 2010 Legacy with 222,000 miles on it, I chose the Forester. The dealer is very customer friendly and very competitive in their pricing, even though I paid 25K plus for a four year old car…vestiges of the used car pandemic pricing. The car drives beautifully, smooth and quiet. I am very happy with my purchase.

This car is so comfortable! The driver sits up high, with great sight lines in all directions. The seats are comfortable. The features are very intuitive. My car has automatic door locks so when I walk up to the car with my key fob, put my hand on the door handle the doors unlock. It has automatic headlight dimmer which works great. It has plenty of power for freeway acceleration. All wheel drives makes it great in snow. I’m very happy with this car.
