I purchased a Forester in RI after an exhaustive study of reviews on the "best snow cars". I was initially shocked by the maintenance cost and disappointed in the quality of service I was receiving. I was let down by 2 dealerships before deciding to become an educated consumer. I read many online reviews before scheduling the next big service appointment even though I was concerned that reviews can be skewed or unreliable. Two dealership service departments in MA, NH, RI climbed to the top of my review scale. AutoFair ranked No 1 and Patrick No 2 when I filtered online reviews through my own quality criteria and weight factors... (Yes... I'm an engineer with 35 years of service). Once my first visit at AutoFair was completed, I revisited my review table (Pugh Matrix) and AutoFair has climbed even higher. I do not want to mislead anyone about cost, though. Pricing was NOT one of my evaluation criteria because I have resigned to the fact that Subaru service prices sizzle everywhere. I will also caution that techs can be absent-minded or "miss a spot" under pressure, like everyone else. In this case, the mishap was that I was pulled over by a cop outside the dealership because I was driving away on a flat tire (nobody noticed it while replacing 4 brakes and rotors). Please feel free to ask "how many engineers does it take..." because I was equally guilty. How silly of me to drive away, turn on the radio, and drown out the thumping noise of a flat tire. Most importantly: The front desk managers, as well as the techs were courteous and personable. Being too old and impatient to stay seated for long, I paced back and forth (like an expectant father in a waiting room) in front of the service desk watching the maintenance process through the glass wall. I was often in the way but nobody lost their patience or their smile. OK... maybe a salesman pointed me twice to the coffee machine in the waiting room. Neither the mechanics nor the managers tried to sell unnecessary work to me. I was extremely happy NOT to get a lecture on "recommended" service or materials intended to inflate bills. I showed up 95 minutes before my appointment time, and nobody tried to "correct me" or to protest that I was messing up their scheduling software. Even though they respected customers with earlier appointment times, they also drove mine in a bay and a mechanic who was winterizing cars also found time to make progress on mine. At the end, I left 60 minutes earlier than expected. I can testify that my experience was great and that I look forward to socializing again with the two coordinators and the mechanic I met. Nice people that treat customers with respect. I am going back, and I have already pre-paid for a package of 4 oil changes through their Service Rewards Program.

Fabulous car, some downsides

To be honest, the car is great. It looks and feels great in and out. The seats are stylish and the dash is sleek and has a large touch screen (mines a Sport model). However, there are downsides. I love how cool the screen is, but not having buttons feels dangerous. I have to look down too much to hit the buttons since I can’t feel then like a regular radio/whatever. Secondly, whoever thought it was a good idea not to make he cup holders round is crazy. Half is curved, but then it’s straightens out to look like a short bullet shape. What this means is that no cup is secure and the drinks bounce around and when you learn about it it’s from spilling coffee all over in your brand new car cuz you went over train tracks. Third, the transmissions jerks sometimes when you let off the accelerator. When it downshifts you can feel the car since back as the transmission starts to stop the car when it should be saving energy by coasting. These I’m told are normal traits in the car. Lastly, the 28mpg city rating is false. I get 20 in the city driving like a grandpa. Apparently these things suck when the engine is could and my 2 miles commute sees the worst efficiency I can imagine for a brand new 4 cylinder with such a good rating. All in all though, I like it and it’s a sexy car.

I was looking for a Subaru Forester to replace my 10 year old vehicle and chose Autofair for the close proximity to where I live. I was greeted by Serg Orlov when I arrived and he asked what he could help me with. I told him I wanted a new Forester and that I had researched the car models and options and knew what I wanted. I told him I wanted to drive one first and go to my home to ensure it fit in my garage which he happily obliged. Once we returned we went over all the packages of options and he searched for what I wanted. I wanted a blue one and that was nonnegotiable. I knew that meant I may have to alter my options to suit their inventory and I was fine with that because a few items I had not decided on. We found a few and I chose the one that best suited my needs. I was able to get the car I wanted in the color I wanted and got it for a price I felt comfortable with. Serg was very nice to work with. He answered my questions and worked with me to find me the car I wanted. I would recommend the dealership and Serg. I was happy to not have to go around to other dealerships to find what I wanted. Everyone we worked with there was helpful and they seemed like a family that worked well together. I look forward to dealing with them for my service needs. After being a 5 time Saturn owner I was not looking forward to having to negotiate to get what I wanted (at Saturn everyone paid the same price for the same car and options so buying was easy and less stressful). Serg made it a wonderful buying experience.

Purchased a 2007 Subaru Outback for my son. Owner/Staff went above and beyond to make the Vehicle 100% upon delivery. There is no hidden agenda as the quality of Customer Service is top level. The Staff has changed a bit and it seems to be working for them. They show you the Carfax and explain if there is anything that needs to be taken care of before Delivery. My opinion is Milford replacing what the car needed at time you get new brand new parts. They offered a 6 Month/6,000 Mile Warranty which is 50/50 Parts and Labor which is more then most Dealerships around as they are always AS IS. They also even offer replacing Inspection passed working parts such as Tires, Timing Belt/Water Pump Etc. if concerned on all their Cars if you would like by meeting you half way or as much as they can. Very satisfied and would return to purchase again in the future.

I do not give top reviews often! I have never given a top review to a used vehicle dealership in all my 69 years! I CAN, WITHOUT RESERVATION, give a hundred star review to Metropolis Auto Sales! They are definitely not stereotypical "used car salesmen" (which I hate) They are HONEST and determined to create a good deal for all involved. I just purchased a 2011 Ford Cargo van - Got home (3 hours away!!!) and discovered no spare tire jack or lug wrench! (My bad as I hadn't checked). Figured they were in the shop after being removed for the under coating. Nope:( So They called a salvage yard close to me and paid for the spare, jack & wrench! TALK ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Then the DMV in Vermont wasn't happy with a signature on the title trail! UGH! Metropolis has paper work on its way to me that should satisfy VT! The entire process was a pleasant transaction -- and to top it off we closed on National Greek Day and were served unbelievably delicious lamb burgers and homemade fries -- my mouth still waters! Exciting to have discovered a HONEST used vehicle dealership who believes in customer service and satisfied customers! Metropolis Auto Sales is now THE ONLY PLACE I or my family will purchase a vehicle! Believe me, This is the the place to go if you are looking for a vehicle - They have a great selection and fair prices. As I said above: "I have never given a top review to a used vehicle dealership in all my 69 years! I CAN WITHOUT RESERVATION give a hundred star review to Metropolis Auto Sales!"

I can't praise the sales and finance team at this dealership enough. I knew what I wanted and what I was willing to pay before I set foot in any dealerships. At Subaru of Belmont I got sweet-talked and manipulated by a salesman who thought he could take me for a ride. I promptly left and never returned. By contrast, Ken Bettano, the Sales Manager at Subaru of Wakefield took me seriously from the moment he shook my hand. I told him what I wanted and didn't want and that I had compared prices through various online car marketplaces for the region. He asked some pointed questions, checked his inventory, and then made me a deal I couldn't refuse on a 2017 Crosstrek. No nonsense. No condescension. I took the vehicle for a test drive with my salesman, Nelson Molina, who was patient, polite and charming. Nelson handled the rest of the sale with great efficiency and good humor--and we definitely tried his patience by having him stay beyond the store's closing for which I am very sorry but most grateful! I went in at the end of the day on Sunday and had my new car by the next afternoon. If buying a car was this easy and painless I might not wait nearly 18 years before I do it again! I wholeheartedly recommend this dealership!

I absolutely love my 2015 Impreza, it's extremely reliable in all types of weather thanks to its AWD system. I've never had any issues with performance or with its comfort. My one issue is slight and more surface related, but the screen and the operating system is very wonky. Their standard Starlink system doesn't work very well in this model, although I believe they did a lot to improve it in later models. Small complaint, but otherwise I've thoroughly enjoyed my car and would recommend it to anyone.

My daughter, Courtney, is a proud owner of a new vehicle, 2016 Subaru Crosstrek, purchased on 7/22/16 at Subaru Wakefield. This dealership deserves acknowledgment in every way possible because of the exemplary manner they hold their business, I conducted my car purchase search - strictly via internet - due to the fact that we live in Arizona, and my daughter will be working in Boston. My search ultimately narrowed me down to 3 dealerships in Boston and surrounding areas. What set Wakefield Subaru apart and ultimately earned my business was purely based on the 3 cardinal rules on customer service: 1) efficiency - this dealership was quick and prompt to answer emails and questions that I had 2) honesty - I never felt I was being lied to while dealing with Wakefield Subaru. Unfortunately, I can't say the same for the other dealerships I've encountered. 3) Be polite and respectful - my daughter and I felt well taken care of when finalizing all transactions with Wakefield Subaru. They were kind, accommodating, and truly made our car buying experience so incredibly easy and stress-free! Anna Rosa - thank you, Anna, for responding quickly to my emails. You had the most replies from all of the dealerships I reached out to. A+++++ on this. The other dealerships replies were impersonal, and some didn't even know how to reply properly to a general email inquiry :( Teresa Evangelista - thank you for working with Anna as well! I felt like I was dealing with a long time friend (!) and you were sincere and honest with your numbers. Thanks for making it happen! I am sorry we did not get to meet you and Anna in person that day. Perry Mallias - Perry was the 'front' of Wakefield Subaru, the person we actually sat down and met with after all the internet/phone/email communications were done. Even though we had a late arrival - on a Friday - he did not make a big deal out of it! He was very personable, well mannered, kind, approachable, and made sure we were comfortable while waiting for the papers/financing to get processed. Perry took his time to show Courtney the functionalities of the vehicle, and I thought that was great customer service experience! Mike Tarasuik - he's the manager, and he came and approached us several times, making sure we were comfortable while waiting. Kenny Bettano - thank you for giving Courtney a lesson on how Service Plans work - without pushing! You made her feel she could do this all by herself, going forward. Thanks! I love my car! The sport version is perfect and has everything for a great drive, without too many bells and whistles. Nothing beeps at me when I'm reversing, leather seats are comfortable and heated and it's the perfect size to fit almost anything (including a xmas tree!). My only gripe is how slow it is to pick up when you put your foot down - this response could be improved. Would buy another one.

My first Subaru was a brand new 1980 sedan. The second was an '83 wagon. The first Subaru we purchased at Subaru of Wakefield was a 1990. We drove that car over 200,000 miles and sold it to my brother-in-law for a farm vehicle. The 2001 was "given up" to a used car dealer with 150,000 miles on the odometer. When it came time to purchase our 2011, John Cheshire was our go-to guy. He was straight forward, honest, not at all pushy and down to earth. We liked him very much. Shortly after our purchase, we found out that John had moved to Florida. Boo hoo. By the time the 2001 was ready for a new owner, I couldn't buy a used Subaru in Wakefield because they didn't have any, so I purchased the 2006 from another local dealer. Time to retire the 2006 - 120,000 miles on it as of now. We went back into the dealership and WOW! John is back! We would choose no other salesman at Subaru of Wakefield. I know many of the sales people have been at the dealership for many years, but we are comfortable with John. This time, I test drove 3 different models and, once again, chose the Outback. So, the 2017 Subaru is #7 in our family. Thank you John and thank you Subaru of Wakefield!

I have been driving my Infiniti I30 for 17 years and decided it was time for a new car. I was not looking forward to the whole ordeal. I did do research and decided to look at Subarus. This dealership is near my house so I went there. Mr. Al Mazin was an exceptional salesperson. He listened to my questions and was extremely knowledgeable. I didn't feel pressured. He was patient with me and addressed my concerns. Even after I purchased the car he is still willing to answer my questions. I would recommend Al to anyone interested in a Subaru. I did not feel as comfortable or satisfied in the finance office. I honestly felt it was so robotic. "Stuff" was not discussed in detail and there could have been more in-hand information to review before "signing on the dotted line." Al went to bat for me and obtained the information I wanted. If anyone is thinking of buying a Subaru, contact Al Mazin at Subaru of Wakefield... I gave the dealership five stars because of Al. Joan

First Subaru but not first AWD

I bought this yesterday Feb 1 2019 with 20,700 miles on it from the dealership at Southpointe Hendricks Subaru in Durham, NC. I think the dealership did not give a great deal. charged more than they should have. I got black Premium. The car seems higher than the sport model i tried in a different place which had everything on it. This one doesn't have the blind spot or auto braking before a collision and I think I should have had that. The car drives well but has a lot of body roll and some engine noise. Though outside noise is negligent. Brakes well and corners well as the turning radius is smaller than the legacy. It doesn't feel as planted as my BMW 2011 3 series with X Drive but that is a different category of car altogether. But for all the other cars in it's price range drives very well and looks stylish and classy in black as well as the AWD which even in if you have some snowy days in the winter is useful as well as in the rainy days in all the other seasons. I cannot say much of reliability as i have not owned it but one day. Hope it is. All in all, the affordability and the AWD and the safety that drew me to the first Japanese car I have bought. And no, not a BMW but drives well and I am satisfied.

Had appointment for 4:30pm but due to getting off late from work I had to call (@4:34!) and asked if I can reschedule it for later as I am obviously late, they helped me reschedule for 5:15pm same day! I have bad experiences before at other service centers where you are 3mins late and they cancel the appointment saying you should have called you were going to be late, we didn’t received any call so we took a walk in!!! Anyways, Toyota of Nashua gave great service with good customer service, facilities and cleanliness.

I first owned a 2013 impreza. I totaled it at 103,500 miles and bought a 2018 impreza with 7800 miles. You would think after 5 years Subaru would get their bluetooth connectivity issues fixed. But obviously not. I'm playing music in my car get out of my car with it still running, get back in my car put it in reverse and my phone randomly disconnects and will not reconnect until I restart the car. And heaven forbid you take your seat belt off a split second before you put it in park because it will beep like crazy even after it's in park! So stupid! I feel like my 2013 impreza was a little quicker as well. My 2013 had all the recall/lawsuit problems so hopefully the 2018 is better build quality . Other then those small problems it's been a great car and I like it.

Original equipment tires wore out at 20,000 miles. Replacement Uniroyal Tiger Paws went 42000 more miles. Was unable to meet factory specs for wheel alignment. Despite that replacement set of tires wore evenly. If you purchase a new Subaru require that dealership align and show you results are at factory specs before taking delivery. The radio controls are difficult to use. touch screen is insensitive in cold weather. Radio knobs taper away from you so are difficult to grasp. Overall electronics are way overly complicated. Handling is very good. I like the CVT trans. It matches the power curve of the engine. Very secure car at highway speeds. Great traction in wet/snow. Zero mechanical problems. Great carrying capacity. I am at 62000 miles and will keep the car for several more years. Remarkable fuel mileage of 34.5 MPG overall.

I received a call from Dezare set up an appointment with a lot of anxiety because I am 66 years old and as I said, my credit was certainly not the best. She was so kind and reassured me that this was a real possiblity. On Friday, Dezare was not able to meet with me, but referred me to Debbie Nelson. I cannot say enough about Debbie. My 2017 Impreza Sport has been flawless, The miles per gallon have been great, but 10% less than rates because I drive it aggressi. I love the new platform of a small SUV hatchback. There is so much space to carry loads of luggage.
