2018 Subaru WRX STI review
Owned many subies, Outback, Forrester, WRX but it was my first STi. Love the grip, the sound, and the thumbs up I get from other WRX's. Engine is old and the lag is there but just keep it around 4k RPM and you'll be fine.

2015 Subaru WRX STI review
I gave only 4 stars on performance but 5 stars on everything else. The power output has been the same since 2004 using the same engine platform from day 1 and needed some more poines (I always thought they should have been 6 cylinders and turbcharged), reliability has always been pretty good for me with these cars but overall it gets a soild 5 stars. I've had 6 Subarus and all of them have been great cars.

Eric was great, as usual. This was my 3rd new vehicle through him and I also sent a co-worker in who purchased too. The issue is not with the sales team, it’s with the finance dept. I am still waiting on resolution for an extended warranty I purchased with my new car last month. Shockingly the $$$mistake is in the dealers favor. 2 emails ghosted and no credit back to either my loan principal or my credit card. My suggestion is to just purchase the vehicle there and decline EVERYTHING the finance department offers then run out the door. Sales gets a 5, Finance dept 1 1/2. I will give them the rest of this week to keep up there end of the contract before I envolve corporate.
2020 Subaru WRX STI review
Love this zippy little thing. It has two more seats than the corvette and all wheel drive. Once i saw how Chevrolet was handling the class action suit with regards to the ZO6 engines failing, and the fact that all i have ever done with the wife's subie was Oil and air filter for 100,000 miles. Well who needs more problems in life, you can keep the headaches Chevy thanks. One test drive was all it took and i was smitten.

Even with that level of pressure, he remained calm, professional, and extremely attentive to every customer. What really stood out to me was how David handled the situation. Despite juggling multiple customers, he never made me feel rushed or overlooked. That level of customer service is rare, especially in such a high-demand environment. While waiting, I walked the lot and was genuinely impressed by the quality of their inventory. They had a great selection of upscale vehicles, all well-maintained and appealing. It definitely speaks to the standard this dealership maintains. Once David was able to assist me, he was knowledgeable, patient, and very transparent throughout the entire process. The paperwork was handled efficiently, and he even made sure my truck was fully cleaned and ready, even though it was located at another lot. I left extremely satisfied with my purchase and confident that I chose the right place to do business. David went above and beyond, and his professionalism did not go unnoticed. I had an outstanding experience at this dealership and can't recommend them enough! From start to finish, the entire process was seamless and stress-free. I started by emailing with Alex 'Mongo' at the beginning of November about a car I was interested in. When that one sold, he quickly recommended another hybrid that fit my budget perfectly. Mongo was responsive and helpful throughout our email exchanges. When my boyfriend and I came in for a test drive, we worked with Mongo (Alex) and Chas, and they were incredible. What impressed me most was how upfront and transparent they were about pricing and fees. They let me see the price sheet and even take pictures of it. When I asked to put the car on hold to think about it, there was zero pressure - they were completely understanding when we left to look at other options. Mongo was extremely responsive over text, answering all my questions without being pushy at all. He was kind, level-headed, and genuinely easy to talk to. When we returned the next day ready to purchase, Chas got everything ready for us and made the paperwork process incredibly smooth. He even recommended a great place for tints! Mohammed in finance was fantastic as well. He worked with us to arrange monthly payments within our budget and was very transparent about all fees and add-ons. He showed us the breakdown of everything step by step. Even though we didn't go with the VIP package, he included an unlimited tire warranty without increasing our monthly payment, which was amazing. The entire process took about an hour and a half - we arrived around 12:30-1:00 and left by 2:30 with our new car! They also handled our registration seamlessly (we're DC residents but the dealership is in Virginia), provided a temporary tag, and made sure we knew exactly what to do for vehicle inspection. Everyone listened to our concerns, answered all our questions, and made sure everything was perfect with the car. This is hands down one of the best dealership experiences I've ever had. If you're looking for a car, ask for Mongo (Alex) and Chas - they're the absolute best! Five stars all around!

I found this car because I wanted a fun four dour car that I could drive in any season. After doing the research and driving this vehicle, I don't believe there's any car that would have been more suited for my needs.

2016 Subaru WRX STI review
Very good power, fantastic AWD system, goes very well in snow. Keeps up with V8 cars and can go threw snow like a truck. Only downside is fuel economy is poor for a 4 Cylinder and loud road noise.

2017 Subaru WRX STI review
I have driven 57 vehicles (all registered to me), and I am always on the search for The Cinderella Slipper. I think I have found it. I was able to get my '17 STI used for a bargain, and was able to put the savings into some quicker mods. You will need a catback setup, as well as the MAPerformance stage 2 kit ($1700 including Cobb Accessport). I am a backyard mechanic and was able to install these pretty easily myself. After this, you will have tuner's dream daily driver with 380hp+ and over 400tq. (331/347 at the wheels). I challenge anyone to find a car that seats 5 comfortably, has AWD, runs under a 4 second 0-60, can get 24mpg, has every creature comfort you could ask for, in a manual transmission for this price range. I was able to get a rebuilt one and finish all my mods at under $20k and the car doesn't even have 30,000 miles yet. I will likely have this car longer than any other car I've owned, and Its already been 10k miles. Every mile is a smile, truly. My favorite thing about it is the close gearing of the transmission. compared to other muscle cars, you can actually shift through 4 gears driving aggressively to 60. Love it!

2016 Subaru WRX STI review
This is my 4th STI and I have tried to buy other cars for daily driving like m3, m4 ,911, GTI yer none of them have the same feeling as an STI. I think most STI owners understand what I’m referring to. From the community, the drivability, the versatility, the safety all these thing but there is still some unexplainable feeling you get from driving these cars that I just don’t get from other manufacturers. I will always be an STI owner and can’t wait for the new generation to be unveiled!

After a disappointing and costly experience with my previous 2025 Toyota Corolla Cross and a local dealer/Toyota Corporate (due to manufacturer defect), I was looking for a fresh start with another car maker. My journey with Safford Brown Subaru in Manassas started with some frustration—I drove an hour from DC for a vehicle I was told was available, only to find it wasn't there when I arrived. However, the way the team handled that initial setback is exactly why they deserve five stars. Instead of the typical "bait-and-switch" feeling, Habby (Sales) and Kayla (Manager) were incredibly professional and transparent. They worked hard to make things right, ensuring the rest of the process was smooth, low-pressure, and respectful of my time. The team truly listened to my needs and worked with impressive efficiency to locate a vehicle with my color and options preferences. They also prioritized my vehicle for a service fix to address a recent safety recall. I also appreciated their transparency regarding their 1.5% credit card fee; being able to put the entire car purchase on my AmEx for the rewards was a huge plus, and they were upfront about the cost from the start. Since I am coming from a difficult mechanical situation with my previous new car, I will be keeping a close eye on how this new hybrid in the Crosstrek line performs. I will provide an update to this review in 3-6 months to share how the vehicle is holding up. For now, if you want a team that values professionalism and honest pricing, ask for Habby and Kayla!

2016 Subaru WRX STI review
I love the car and was always a subaru fan. I was not looking for one when i bought it cause it was slightly out of my price range but i got a good deal on it. The car performance wise is everything i need as i daily it but still track the car from time to time. The exterior is not my favorite Subaru i prefer the older generations but its the same drive train just with some updates and a new body on top. If you are going for comfort this probably isn't the car for you, the seats are not comfortable for more that a hour or so and the suspension is stiff but that is to be expected of a performance car. there is alot of rattles and the speakers arent the best but get buy because they know their market. if you want a good daily this may not be the car for you, but if you want a performance car for a decent price this is it.

2019 Subaru WRX STI review
I've enjoyed every second of owning this STI. AWD Turbo, 6 speed, is a lot of fun to control. My sons car seat even fit in the back seat safe and comfortably.

You will turn your back to see her after parking it. looks great. Drives excellent. Use Shell Helix Ultra and Vpower every gas. This is the 4th Subaru. From Bugeye, to Forester to Legacy GT wagon and now WRX STI....don't get the WRX...STI is the best

2021 Subaru WRX STI review
I’ve owned for 3 years already, and being honest it’s a painful, wallet draining car. Such a blast to drive and own but will make you spend money if you abuse it too much. A good car for someone to change to spare on maintenance. Excellent car for a 4 cylinder turbo and very practical for someone like me (father of two with friends)

2020 Subaru WRX STI review
Great performance 4 door car for the money (sticker price). I have had mine for three years and have had no issues. Decently quick, handles great, comfortable and fairly luxurious for what it is. Best part is the gearbox and drivetrain.

Amazing car performance and handling not to mention easy on the eyes. Built to be punished but my guess is that you won't want to do much punishment.
