2025 Volkswagen Taos review
Purchased new Taos SE AWD end of April. Only have about 1,700 miles on it so far but I am very impressed. Fit and finish are great; rides smoothly and quietly. Many features on the vehicle for the money. 8 speed trans is seamless in its operation. Engine idles so quietly that my wife asked me why I had shut off engine when it was idling in a parking spot. Only concern (and it’s a very minor one) is need for more horsepower. I know that the’25 Taos has 17 more horsepower than the’22-‘24 models, but vehicle still feels like it needs more on inclines with four people in the car and when driving into high winds. But that is the only concern; made a great decision when I bought this car.

Not sure why the low ratings/reviews on other sites. I had the most positive buying experience ever for a car. John Vickery and Eric Olivieri are top notch professionals. I was looking for a late model/low mileage pre-owned vehicle; I had narrowed it down to the 2013 CRV EX-L. They had one just taken in via trade with low miles, loaded and in great condition. I came all the way down from Northern NJ. I had also located similar vehicles at other Phila dealers but they were all too pushy. The experience here was low key and easy. I arranged my own financing and when I came down to pick up the car- I was out in 75 minutes- not once did they try to pressure or up sell other add-ons. I can wholeheartedly recommend the buying experience at Fred Beans. Would not hesitate to do so again.
2023 Volkswagen Taos review
First off the gas mileage is great. I can get up to 30-32 miles in city and get up to 40 on highway. Its an excellent ride very smooth. Its feels real sturdy and safe. Has driver assistance to prevent crossing lines or hitting person in front of you. Has backup camera also and the sun roof goes from the fron to the back of the roof The more I drive it the more I love it.

2024 BMW X1 review
The 2024 BMW X1 is nimble and responsive. It has an excellent memory for self-driving the car to back out of tight parking spots along the path the driver used to get into it. The car feels spacious inside and is easy to get into. My observed hwy mileage is 36mpg @ 75mph and 22mpg in suburban driving. It’s defects are: 1) the driver must learn how to start from a stop to avoid a sluggish pick-up or a sudden forward jerk; 2) the owner’s manual does not include directions for setting up the electronics, so the owner must resort to a complex cryptic in-car system that is difficult to sort through; 3) the built-in navigation system's is hard to use; the owner will resort to Waze or Car Play; 4) the car is bumpy on rough surfaces, and vibrates like a massage unit on washboard.

Great little SUV. Bought used with 8000 miles. Since I bought it I've averaged 36.6 mpg. over 14,648 miles. Every review I read it mentioned about its power, I can pass cars at high speed with no problems. Only problem is the storage space when back seats are up. Otherwise, easy to drive and park.

Only had my 2025 kicks sv a few months , 4k miles but I like it a lot , look , style, drives well and it very comfortable. Love all the included safety features that other car companies charge extra for . Gas mileage is incredible. Gave it a 5 across the board, as my last 3 new cars have been a Colorado , for maverick and jeep wrangler. Cost , value of the redesign kicks is much better imop . 2023 Kia Niro review
This is my first kia. The fit and trim are solid. The car is sound all around. Great gas mileage between 46 in the very cold winter to 67 mpg. Depending on how you drive it. I.ve been dealing with a dealer in burlington massachusetts where I purchase the vehicle. Im not sure they pay attention to detail as the engine calls for a special motor oil, 0W16, And that was not reflected on the engine oil change receipt. When I approached them with a question about the Motor oil, i was told all the engines are the same, which is not true. Also they recommended a 4wheel alignment which i paid for but had problems down the road. The dealer was very unhappy when they had to Repeat the alignment again, and made sure I knew about it. At this time I am searching for another dealer.

Follow up to review. (UPDATE) I was contacted by the used car manager Joe about my issue which was the tire sensor. He informed me that they definitely will not be sending me to a Ford dealership to fixed the sensor. He said they would do it there even if they had to send it out( they would definitely pay for it) so I was told to bring my car on 11/16 to fix the issue. I was then referred to Steve. Steve handle the situation with grace. I would say I was there maybe about a hour or so . It really didn’t seem long. Steve came to get me to let me know everything was finished. Now what I didn’t notice was they even threw in a complimentary car wash! So job well done and Joe called me after to make sure I was good. Thank you both for taking care of the issue. Tire sensor issue solved!
2024 Kia Seltos review
I love my cute little Seltos! As a minivan mom of 19 years, it's been fun to switch it up. It has a sporty look yet is still practical enough to let my teenagers drive it. A couple things I wish the Seltos had that my basic minivan had (and probably available in other models): The driver side window doesn't roll up all the way without me holding onto the button the whole time. Definitely not a deal breaker, but I guess I used it in the van because I keep trying to do it in the Seltos. My biggest complaint is about SiriusXM. I know cars are starting to not even offer it, so I should be happy I still have it. My no frills, basic minivan's Sirius radio had it where you could select from three different screens. 1: The station name 2: The artist name 3: The song name. I loved being able to see a list of 6 artists per screen with 4 different screens and selecting the artist I wanted to listen to. It also let me save up to 40 of my favorite artists/songs, and whenever that artist or song played, it would let me know and I could switch stations to listen to. I used this often. The Seltos does not offer this. I can just see a list of stations playing. Of course I can see what artist and song are playing on the station I'm currently on, but it doesn't show me what's playing on the other stations. If anyone knows how to change this, let me know! I've spent quite a lot of time looking into this. This may be the end of my Sirius subscription because of this set up. Anyway, aside from the radio, I'm thoroughly enjoying my new ride and would recommend it to anyone!

Drove past a few weeks ago and a few of the cars in the lot caught my eye, I wasn’t in the market for ancar but had some time to kill so my friend Steph and I decided to go take a look around. We stuck to used cars mostly (although there were quite a few new cars, especially the Audi’s that caught my eye!) we were greeted the second we walked in the door, actually before we walked in the door because the first thing we did was walk outside in the lot looking at some of the Certified pre owned cars, we were barely there a minute before Brendan came up and introduced himself, he could not have been a nicer, more knowledgeable guy! We were up front saying we were just killing time, but he didn’t care and still grabbed keys for us to open some of the cars, offered refreshments etc. We eventually went inside and Brendan showed us some of the other pre owned cars they had, asked what we were currently driving, if we were interested what were we looking for etc. He even grabbed his boss, Joe, who I guess is the used car manager and he introduced himself, ended up taking us out in a beautiful black 2016 A5 that if I didn’t just recently lease a car I would have bought on the spot. The two of them really took the time to show us around, ask questions, make us feel comfortable and just seemed to care. Honestly, I wish I hadn’t just leased a car because I would have MUCH preferred buying from these guys then where I did get my car (which was closer to where I live and the opposite of this great experience). We got there cards and gave them our info. Well, this morning my friend steph who was with me decided she was buying that beautiful a5! Her car is a bit older, but still reliable, but she just couldn’t get over he great experience, service and deal, so as long as that car is still there this coming week it’s sold! Thank you Brendan and mike! You guys left such a great impression on us both that you sold a car to someone who wasn’t even in the market! You guys are THE GREATEST!
2023 Volkswagen Taos review
Our 2022 Taos is almost 2 years old with about 21K mileage. Very satisfied with our car. For the price point (25K) it provides good handling, a comfortable ride and great interior space for a subcompact SUV. The gas mileage is amazing at over 40 MPG on the highway and about 30 MPG tooling around town. Couldn't be happier!

Unfortunately the vehicle I was shopping for wasn’t a available for financing with my bank (bank’s issue not the dealership’s) so I didn’t end up purchasing from them but the customer service was so great I wanted to leave a review. During my car shopping experience in all of my years I’ve never had a dealer try so hard to get me what I wanted. Their salesperson was so accommodating that he was even up and texting with me before the dealership was even open (due to my work hours). The sales manager tried everything he could without any nonsense or games. Next time I’m in the market they will be the first place I look.
2022 Volkswagen Taos review
I bought the 22 model in Apr of 22 and had it about a year and the ac compressor went out. It took them a couple of months to get one and when they did they found that it had metal shavings all in the lines so they had to replace everything in the circuit. They gave us a loaner car for two weeks and so far it’s been working fine. Have had a couple of software updates so far but no other issues. Have just turned 10,000 miles. The transmission is jerky so I basically drive it around in sport mode to keep it from dropping into the highway gear. Overall we like it

2025 Volkswagen Taos review
I like the white and black combo. I like that it's not too big and is AWD. Still getting use to the technology. I can start and lock the doors from my phone. It notifies me if I left a window or the sunroof open. Will not go far if the trunk door is not completely shut. This is my 1st suv, I like sitting up higher than in a sedan.

2021 Toyota C-HR review

I would like to comment on the excellent experience I have had with the service department at VW Reading. I have had a few issues with my Golf R recently, and every time, I ask for Alex to work on my car, and Molly is always willing to put him on my car with no problems. She is always super nice and accommodating! Alex knows his stuff and always does great work. I love having a dealership that I trust. This last time, Alex actually took two separate road tests with me to make sure he understood what I was saying was wrong with my car. Alex went out of his way on more than one occasion to get to the bottom of my issues and get it resolved. There should be a mechanic like Alex at every dealership. In addition, Josh, the service manager is willing to sit down and talk to you with respect when it comes to an issue you are having. Josh treats you like he values you as a customer and I appreciate that. Thank you Josh, Alex and Molly. I am glad you are there for my wife and me when we need our VW's serviced.

2025 MINI Countryman review
I have had my Countryman S for about 7 months and 2000 miles (I have two other cars). It’s Chili Red with Petrol Blue interior. My favorite points are 1. The interior. If you love interesting fun interiors as I do then you will love it. If you try to avoid black interiors and exteriors you eliminate 90% of the cars other make. With Mini, you can get perhaps the most fun interiors anywhere and the Vescin seems comfortable enough. Just with they had ventilated seats. 2. Power, FINALLY Mini got a full BMW tune given you pay about the same price. It is plenty quick and I get 33-36mpg on the highway all the time. Drops much lower zooming around town. 3. Appearance and layout. I like the unique appearance, low roof line for kayaks and plenty of room for the kind of car it is. Negatives: 1. Electronics. Had several updates since I bought it and it has improved a lot but will take some getting used to. Use the favorites menu. Everything is pretty much forced onto the center screen. Sometimes Mini does things to be cute rather than practical. Rather than a start button it uses a flag toggle key you turn off and on like an old fashioned key. If you have to change cars like I do it’s confusing. 2. Center console. Basically, there is not one. There’s a little clam shaped compartment the size of a clutch purse. The armrest doesn’t open. Wasted potential. You will hate this if you are used to piling layers of stuff in a huge center console. Glove box is minimal, too. Neutral. 1. There’s no screen behind the wheel but there is a heads up display. Frankly, after awhile I don’t miss it at all. The heads up is excellent but it takes a little getting used to. 2. Suspension is a bit stiff like all Mini’s. Makes it sporty but trade off is feeling most road imperfections. It does take the top off bumps well but it’s a trade off. In summary, the reliability has been good AFTER the electronics updates and most things work well. It is just so fun to drive and look at inside and out that really I am not sure what I’d rather drive. You might cross shop the BMW X1 and see which works better for you. You cannot beat Mini interiors though for just pure fun and the driving matches on what is a practical Mini for a family. Oh, I got it to tow a camper but I have yet to do that. That is a great new addition in my book. I will probably get a kayak trailer.

2026 Buick Envista review
I just bought a 2026 Envista Preferred on May 22, 2026 and it is the dream car that I always wanted. It's elegant, good on gas, nice and comfortable interiors and trunk and small enough to park. First, let me say that I don’t necessarily enjoy reading long online reviews when considering a major purchase, but I really can’t explain my experiences at Reedman Toll Subaru in one or two sentences. If you want an honest description of what it was like to buy a used vehicle from this dealership, here it is. I’ve been around the block and have purchased many used vehicles. As a former auto mechanic who has worked on my own vehicles for over 40 years, I’ve rarely purchased a used vehicle from a new car dealer. We own a 2014 Acura and really like it, so when we saw a 2013 Acura at a local dealership (Davis Acura) we decided to check it out. The price was a bit high, and apparently we were taking the salesperson away from an important TV show or card game, as it was quite obvious he wasn’t especially interested in selling us a car on that particular day. The next day we saw a very similar vehicle online (at a much better price) at Reedman Toll Subaru. Although they’re over an hour from our home, I had the day off and we decided to go see it. Our salesperson, Matt T., didn’t know we were coming but was asked by the online sales representative we’d spoken with to show us the car. The car was nice but had several small dents in the fender, which looked like an amateur repair job (and may well have been), and it definitely detracted from this seemingly well-maintained vehicle. As a result we were quite hesitant to pay full price for the vehicle. Matt apparently spoke with his manager (Shawn S.) and then came to us a few minutes later and asked if we would consider buying the car if they could fix the dents. We told him we would certainly consider it, but we weren’t going to pay more, and we weren’t going to commit to purchasing the vehicle until we saw the repairs. Matt said fair enough, and they took the car to their body shop to remove the dents and repaint the fender. As this process would take several hours, we really didn’t want to have to drive over an hour to get home and then come back again later to see the repairs. Matt said, “How about if we bring the car to you? If you approve of the work you can buy it, if you don’t there’s no obligation.” This was more than fair, so they completed the work and brought the car to my wife’s workplace. The work was well done so we completed the purchase. We were certainly satisfied so far…but then the brakes started squealing loudly a few days later. I took the car to my mechanic and he discovered that the rear brakes were worn down to almost nothing and the car was not drivable. I knew the vehicle had just been inspected before we bought it (not by Reedman Toll Subaru), so I called Reedman Toll and spoke with manager Shawn S. He asked if I could send him an estimate of the necessary repairs (over $400). I did so and he approved the work that day. The car was repaired by my mechanic and I received reimbursement from Reedman Toll about a week later. Matt and Shawn were in communication with us during the entire sales process, answering questions and addressing any and all issues that came up with the utmost professionalism and courtesy. It became quite obvious to us that these two gentlemen stand behind their products and are extremely customer service-oriented and responsive, even well after the sale. I would not hesitate to drive over an hour to Reedman Toll Subaru and ask for Matt if I was in the market for another car.
2026 Nissan Kicks review
I just purchased a 2026 Nissan kick in February this year and it has 3,000 miles and it needs the axle replaced already. What happened? I wasn’t in a automobile accident with this car at all.

2023 Jeep Compass review
My wife and I bought a 23' Jeep Compass Limited with 15K miles. We were looking for something small but also a vehicle that could offer 4x4. My initial impression of it at the dealership was that it has an awesome exterior paint color (granite crystal) and black wheels to compliment it. The car drives great on the highway and city. It's a very comfortable ride and the car can turn on a dime! I am currently averaging 30 mpg while commuting to work each day. I have noticed the car will sometimes have difficulty up shifting. As long as I apply more gas it eventually gets over it. Not a big deal for me as my last vehicle would do the same thing. The rear view camera is nice on the Compass, however it is completely useless at night. Overall we are very happy with our purchase.
