Excellent Car Buying Experience at Hallmark VW

As a small business owner in a luxury industry, my expectations and standards are awfully high and are consequently seldom met. I’m a shopper who knows what I do and do not want, both in regard to my information gathering/evaluation/selection process and to interactions throughout the sales and buying experience. I am additionally the first person to walk abruptly away from any salesperson/potential purchase in a situation in which I feel even mildly leveraged, manipulated, or run through anyone’s corporate “program”. So I was pleasantly pleased by working with Matthew at Hallmark VW; he treated my partner and me like reasonable people and was available to me throughout my inquiry, shopping, and purchasing processes. He also connected me expeditiously with a beautiful, low-mileage, very gently-used Passat that met all my nearly impossibly-high criteria. Again, I am a difficult customer to satisfy, but Matthew was accommodating, appreciative, flexible, and respectful throughout my experience with Hallmark VW. He was quite knowledgeable about the vehicles he showed me and was fast and happy to find additional information to answer all of my questions throughly, whenever necessary. He made no attempt to interest me in cars that he had available but that did not meet my criteria, which I appreciate greatly. Buying a VW comes with different expectations than buying, for example, a Rolls-Royce, so you’re not getting anything particularly fancy with this dealership, or with VW dealerships in general; but Hallmark VW certainly met all my needs and expectations, as did Matthew, which is collectively far more than I can say for most vendors I encounter in the browsing and buying world.
