Transmission issues
Transmission problems. Only 170000klms. Automatic slips out of third gear. Have to hit the overdrive button to get it back in gear. Such a shame for an otherwise great car. It's always been serviced regularly.

Great cheap car
The car runs great actually a really sporty car for the way it looks. I've put plenty of aftermarket parts on the car and its still being driven to this day as a daily driver only major problem with the 1997 galant is they have transmission problems but the transmission is easy to find or find someone to rebuild it. My car with performance upgrades gets 30mpg and sounds great beats any other ricer sports car.
