Transmission problems. Only 170000klms. Automatic slips out of third gear. Have to hit the overdrive button to get it back in gear. Such a shame for an otherwise great car. It's always been serviced regularly.- Purchased a New car

Great cheap car
The car runs great actually a really sporty car for the way it looks. I've put plenty of aftermarket parts on the car and its still being driven to this day as a daily driver only major problem with the 1997 galant is they have transmission problems but the transmission is easy to find or find someone to rebuild it.
