2015 Nissan Pathfinder review: Our expert's take

Vehicle Overview

In 2013 the Nissan Pathfinder adopted a unibody platform to get better gas mileage and driving refinement. It is powered by a 3.5-liter V-6 and is offered in four trim levels: S, SV, SL and Platinum. Competitors include the Ford Explorer, Dodge Durango and Chevrolet Traverse. There is a hybrid version, covered separately in the Cars.com Research section.
New for 2015
The SL Tech Package, SL Premium Package and New Family Entertainment Package all receive updates. The SL trim receives blind spot warning rear cross traffic alert and a 120-volt outlet. The Platinum has those features as well as a dual panorama moonroof. The S trim does not have any significant changes.

Comfortable luxury at an affordable price

This truck is perfect for my family. From taking long trips to short commutes it fits all of our needs. The 3rd row is great for taking kids places and even taking several adults. The get up and go is perfect for getting onto the highway.

4.9

Loving a 6-year old car that’s new to me

This vehicle is my first personal daily driver in several years (I had company cars before, which were always base models). I found an SL that feels over the top with luxury to me. I’m loving the 4-wheel drive in the snow, and the confidence on the road in wet and dry conditions. It goes where you point it! Very comfortable, even on a long commute of 2-hours during a recent snow storm.
