  • Great and safe buy

I drive this car from San Diego to Los Angeles a lot !!! MPG is okay and I feel safe in this SUV. Been driving in good and bad weather and I have had no problems what so ever. My biggest cost was only buying new tires or getting alignment which only happened only maybe twice.

  • Most Reliable Vehicle on the Road

I've owned this car for over 100,000 miles as the third owner and it has never let me down. 4wd driveline intact after countless trips off-roading, handles well when towing and makes long treks comfortable and effortless.

  • Toyotas are very long lasting cars

I’ve had toyotas from the age of 16 and I’m 25 there one of the most reliable cars out there next to the Hondas. Once I get rid of this beautiful 97 Toyota forerunner I’m gonna buy me a new 2017 Toyota forerunner hopefully

  • It's a Toyota!

I've had a few Toyotas in my life, from a 1971 Corona Deluxe to a 1993 Pickup and loved them both. Had a coworker of my husband selling a 97 4Runner Limited 4wd that was well taken care of and a good deal. Love it! It's got 220,000 miles and besides some maintenance stuff that needed to be done and the front seats needing to be recovered, it's been the best ever! I even have a 95 4Runner that I got super cheap that was unwanted that we need to get some gaskets replaced on first before we drive it any distance that we love, too.

  • Frame Rust

Purchased 1 year ago in southeast. Runs good still and seemed to be a good deal. It wasn't ! Though the undercarriage and frame appeared rust free, I later learned the frame is known to rust from the inside out WHICH IT DID ! These vehicles can be extremely dangerous because of this problem and Toyota knows it. Research 4runner frame rust. I will never even consider buying another 4runner, regardless of the year.

  • All-Around Fantastic Car.

This car was a perfect first car, but would fit any owner's needs. It has many great features such as: a spacious, comfortable interior for passengers or cargo, power seats, cruise control, power trunk window, strong racks, tow package, leather interior, sunroof, etc. It has required little maintenance over the years and has made several long distance trips without any issues. Well worth the investment. Sad to see it go.

  • Perfect car on and off-roading

This is the most capable and reliable vehicle I’ve ever had. With normal maintenance it will surpass 200k Miles. No major repairs ever needed while I owned it for 6 years. 100% recommend.

  • GREAT Classic SUV

Everything you want - nothing you don't need. I previously owned a '90 4Runner and the upgrades are really nice (tinted windows, power windows and locks, rear hatch that swings up to act as a rain shield but you can still roll down the back window to access cargo area, 6 cylinders for more power, etc.). And, of course, Toyota reliability.
