2022 Ford Explorer review
I purchased the 2022 Timberline preowned about 1 month ago with appx 50k miles on it. I was disappointed that it does not have memory seats or a garage door remote button. (I didn't even notice this when test driving it). Who makes a car today with all the tech this car has and leaves off these 2 things! The interior is comfortable & well laid out. The ride is smooth & quiet. 2.3L turbo 4 cylinder is quiet & has amazing power. At idle it’s hard to tell that the engine is even running. The prior owner put on Michelin tires which contribute to the smooth, quiet ride. The seats are ActiveX (Ford’s name for vinyl) with cloth inserts. I’m 5’ 10” and 175lbs. My son who rode with me is 6’ 3” and 250lbs. Both of us found the seats comfortable & supportive on our 1st road trip. I’ve driven a Kia Telluride, which is a direct competitor. The Kia has a little more tech but I found the ride to be on the harsh side, especially in the second row. This may be attributable to the low profile 21” tires. The Timberline has 18” balloon tires which I much prefer. 2 weeks after purchasing it I made a 2,200-mile road trip from Dallas TX to Orgon. Fuel mileage ranged from 21 to 28 with an overall average of 24 mpg. *if I don’t drive over 70 mph on the highway the fuel economy goes up to about 32! *these numbers are from the actual miles & gallons of fuel used, not from the dash numbers, which I found are a little optimistic. It has a few bugs that I’ll have to deal with, but it’s a used Ford & not a Lexus. Overall, I'd say I'm very happy with this car & would recommend it.

I just have to brag on Catrice at Courtesy Ford because she was truly AMAZING. From the moment I walked in and saw her big smile, I knew I was in good hands. I test drove several Bronco models, and she was so patient with me the entire time. She even had the heat started in each Bronco while I was out trying others—those thoughtful little things meant so much. But what really stood out is how hard she worked behind the scenes. She was searching everywhere for the exact Bronco I wanted, calling around and going back and forth until everything was just right. She truly went above and beyond and around the mountain to make it happen for me. Rick went to bat for me on the numbers and trade, and John in finance went above and beyond and made something happen that we truly thought was impossible. They all stand by their word and give their all to make sure you are 100% satisfied. And even after everything was done, Catrice still checks in and keeps me updated—she is so personable and genuine.
