A comfortable, understated cruiser

My wife and I rented this car (in particular, a Genesis 5.0 Ultimate) to use as our drive-away car through Turo. It was a superb car for that, as well as for running errands in the days leading up to the wedding.
The Genesis is really roomy on the inside - I'd compare it to a current Toyota Avalon in that way. The cabin feels relatively open, which is helped by the huge panoramic sunroof. All the materials feel expensive, except for some plastics lower in the car. The wood trim in particular looks really good. The car just feels well-built - even the door closing sounds awesome and solid!
The model we drove had the 5.0-liter V-8, which is no doubt the best engine for this type of vehicle. It was surprisingly quiet most of the time, and the power delivery was really smooth. It also will shove you back into your seat if you floor it - not a slow car by any means. The car rides really well, too. I barely heard most of the cracks and bumps in the road, save for the really bad ones.
The infotainment is basically the same as what you get in Hyundai models, but that's cool by me. It's touch screen and pretty easy to understand. We used the navigation a couple of times with no problem.
Overall, I like this car a lot. I could see myself driving this every day no problem thanks to just how quiet and comfortable it is.
