I’ve never owned an EV before, so I had a multitude of newbie questions as this is a big transition from Acura MDX. Ever Cars made this easier than expected. Jake, my rep, was really the workhorse though. Jake took notes of everything I said I wanted, but then took it several steps further and brought up features I didn’t even know I needed! I thought Tesla held the title for longest range, until he introduced me to Lucid, which I test drove the 2023 Lucid Air… incredible. I needed some “hand holding” to figure out what I wanted, but Jake did that for me and I’m grateful.

2024 Kia Niro EV review
so much going for it that it is sad that the dashboard panel was not thought out. The air conditioning and the media controls are inexplicably linked. Every time you want to turn the radio on, you will turn on the air conditioning. It is bonkers and it's not useful. If you want to install a phone holder you will not find a good place as all useful information is on a panel that would hold the phone. Who designed this? Fire them.

When using cruise control and limit how many car lengths between you and car in front of you, it does serious sudden slow down which could be dangwrous with someone right behind you. Otherwise great car, one of my best ever.

The drive is so quiet and the interior feels rather luxurious in some ways and quite baffling. in others. The complex electrical system has an air conditioner/radio switch that is completely annoying.Every time you turn the radio on, if you're not in the right place, the air conditioning goes on. This happens perpetually. The entire system requires two ro three reads of the manual—it is not intuitive. Another dislike is (it can be turned off) is the steering wheel switch that shudders anytime you make a lane change—there have been times when the sense of control is lost—not a good thing! The entire right side is given to some Las Vegas type light fixture that can change colors. It's a wasted space, though passengers comment and seem to love it. All in all, a good car, pricey compared to similar cars, but a timely choice.
