After getting the run around from multiple dealerships in LA/OC/IE I visited Auto Republic. Yes, I had my guard up after all the financing and heavy down payments other dealerships we're asking for before even giving me attention. The showroom was clean and the lot had so many dream cars. I found the perfect car for my family and had the assistance from the manager that was top notch. I'm writing this review since the single star reviews show the lack of reading details about add on features. Don't get upset with a dealership for having tracking on a car (saves on insurance) along with other key options that are great for your next car. I've referred family and friends, all had exceptional purchasing experiences and I'll get my next vehicle here as well.
2021 Kia Stinger review
The Stinger GT Line (4 Cylinder Turbo) is fabulous. It has plenty of get up and go. When merging onto a highway, you look at the speedometer and you can't believe how quickly you have hit 100 MPH. The MPG at only 22 is a little disappointing. However, I do usually cruise at about 80. Reliability with the exception of one thing (which I will get to) has been excellent. I am 6' 1" tall, so getting in and out of the Stinger without bagging your head is a little difficult (that is why I only gave 4 stars instead of 5 for Comfort). I do regret not going for the little extra cost and buying the GT (instead of the GT Line). The GT does have a few extra standard options which I now wish I had. Now.... the only real negative about the vehicle. I took delivery on March 1, 2021 and since that day... still until today (July 19, 2023) my Apple CarPlay will NOT stay engaged in the vehicle. Sometimes it does not engage at all. Sometimes, just for a short while. Sometimes constantly engaged and disengaging. Sometimes, it engages for the first leg of a trip and not for the return leg of the trip. Sometimes it engages for days and then, it does not engage for days. There is no rhyme or reason for whether it will or will not engage. Kia has changed the radio, the USB Port (this is WIRED [NOT wireless] Bluetooth and Apple CarPlay) and the radio harness. They cannot find a fix. Kia has admitted that they there is a problem and the Engineers are working on it. This has been an ongoing problem for more than 2 years. This is the major reason why I have not rated the vehicle 5 out of 4 stars.

2018 Kia Stinger review
Car is a 2018 Stinger GT2. Beautiful exterior. People stop and tell me how sharp the Stinger looks. Great fun to drive. Decent gas mileage (21 mpg around town & 28 mpg on the road). Michelin tires started to have pieces break of at 21000 miles even though lots of tread left. Very expensive.

When purchasing a used vehicle one of the greatest concerns that I had was vehicle maintenance. You never how the previous owner treated, drove and serviced the vehicle regardless of what the Carfax tell you... I went to take a look at a Honda Civic because it's a reputably reliable vehicle and didn't think I'd have any issues at all. It was also fairly priced against the market so I decided to drive over and move forward with my inquiry. I was met by a sales rep at the front named Aaron and he promptly assisted me: he pulled the vehicle to the front, let me take my time to look inside and out of it, and to toggle with the infotainment and climate control. Once everything checked out I took the car for a test drive, got presented with the numbers until they met me at a comfortable place, and moved on to the finance manager Mohamed! I was surprised to hear that they offered warranties for vehicles that weren't under the Mitsubishi name brand. Naturally I picked a package that made sense to me and left with a reliable vehicle and peace of mind knowing that if anything goes wrong with my vehicle it is completely covered under warranty.
2021 Kia Stinger review
Drives great. Looks awesome. Is roomy and practical because of hatchback design & back seats that fold down.I get lots of compliments and I’ve had people mistake it for a Porsche Panamera, a Jaguar.

I have had my 2020 GT for 2 years now and have only had scheduled maintenance done and thats pretty much it the only issue i did have was that trunk rattle butt quick fix added rubber washers and that disappeared !! GREAT EVERYDAY DRIVER gives a SRT xxxx on the DIGGGG😂

2022 Kia Stinger review
I have a 2019 AWD Stinger GT2 Federation Edition. Yeah… it is pumpkin orange. NOT my favorite color for blending in. However, all the Carbon Fiber trim adds just the right touch to pull it off. I was test driving MANY cars in its price range and NOTHING had the “WOW” factor like this car. In sport mode it is, quite frankly, a BEAST! I had another driver messing with me on a highway in Tennessee… each time I sped up, he sped up. Each time I slowed down, he slowed down. At one point he went to cut me off for the second time and I floored it. I went from 80MPH to 118MPH in about 2 seconds. Had a blizzard here in NY and I made it home without issues with the AWD. Hands down, this is the nicest car I have ever had!

Today, March 1, 2026, I received a call from Tustin GMC management apologizing for the miscommunication. They explained that it was not their intent to pressure me, and that the final price presented actually included an extended warranty rather than a mandatory protection package. I appreciate the clarification and the outreach from management. I accept their apology and want to acknowledge their effort to address the situation and make things right. I’m officially a CarMax fan for life! If I could give this team more than 5 stars, I would. My entire experience—from the high-energy sale to the incredible post-purchase service—has been top-tier. The Buying Experience: I came in looking for a specific Tesla Model Y that was still being processed as a trade-in. Despite the logistical hurdles, Mark worked tirelessly to make the car available for me to buy that same day. He then handed us off to Briana M., and the rest was history! A huge shoutout to the Business Operations Manager, Cherisse O., for her expertise in clearing the paperwork and title issues so I could drive home in the car I wanted. The Trade-In: CarMax made trading in my Jeep Laredo X incredibly easy. While Friendly Ford in Las Vegas tried to lowball me at $25,500, CarMax offered a fair $31,800. They are honest and easily the best to work with. The Service (The True Test): The real 5-star service happened after the sale. My 2025 Tesla Model Y had a minor error, and Vanessa Blaschick in the service department was a total rockstar. She walked me through the entire process, kept me updated constantly, and coordinated a transfer to Tesla to ensure it was repaired correctly and for free. I had my car back within 48 hours! High praises to the management team at this location for hiring such professional, dedicated people like Mark, Briana, Cherisse, and Vanessa. They’ve earned a customer for life!
2023 Kia Stinger review
I knew nothing about KIA until I bought one. I have a Kia 2023 Stinger and I love it. I traded my Alfa Romeo for it and I think it’s a better car and better looking. It will certainly be more reliable and cheaper to repair than the Alfa Romeo I had. The Alfa Romeo is a beautiful vehicle, but the Kia Stinger makes more sense long-term. Drive it in eco when you’re driving around town to run errands, but shift to speed when you’re on the highway or the interstate. it has amazing passing power when you stomp that accelerator and you pass another vehicle in seconds. Take one for a test drive I’m sure you’ll love it and this is the last year they are making them.

I'm sorry that KIA is not making the Stinger anymore. This is my 2nd one, 2018 and now 2023. They are a great car, have all the bells and whistles, looks , power, excellent gas mileage, comfort and resale value. I'm 87 years old and would buy another in the future if I'm still around.

2022 Kia Stinger review
The Stinger is very fun to drive. Has a smooth ride, plenty of get up and go without burning a lot of gas. Sleek design inside and out and very comfortable to ride and drive. Could use just a bit more padding in the front seats though to handle longer rides. All the controls are in good spots, making these easy to use. The car seems to have been designed well covering most all the bases.

2022 Kia Stinger review

2023 Kia Stinger review
Better than I ever would have imagined. Fit & finish, inside and out. Performance with incredible gas mileage. Plenty of storage space thanks to hatchback. All around great car. Too bad they stopped making it.

2022 Kia Stinger review
The Stinger has to be one of the best sports luxury car that’s both reliable and a great driving experience. Maintenance is easy as long as you take care of her. It’s truthfully a beast of its own when in sport mode and the interior comfort between the front and rear seats definitely give that luxury feel. The sound system, fuel economy, and look of the car are very unique and you will not be disappointed. I’ve had my car for about four years now after I purchased it in October 2021 with no complaints.
