There are a lot of professional reviews that state the absolute fun of driving this vehicle. After owning this car and driving in multiple traffic conditions in south Florida, I have to say that the reviews are completely correct. I've owned my share of cars, including some sports cars, like a 2021 WRX (manual tranny) and a 2004 RX-8 (auto tranny). This 2022 Miata MX-5 definitely beats the WRX hands down in drivability and fun. It also edges out the RX-8, but the rotary is something in its own class. My favorite thing about this car is the gear ratio. It fits in almost every driving condition. There's plenty of room in 1st and 2nd while in rush hour traffic, and if you want to step on it, holy cow! This car is F>A>S>T>!!! It's reportedly set to go to 60mph in under 6 seconds, and I believe it. After 500 miles on the odo, the car seemed to open up and got even more fast and fun. At first I thought the cockpit was too small. After getting into this car from my Mazda 3, I felt cramped and a bit claustrophobic. That lasted about three days. Now it feels totally natural and comfortable. I'm 5'9" and slender build, so I really fit in this car. Someone above 6ft tall and larger build would probably feel tight. This is a glorious go kart, with a Bose stereo, terra cotta leather seats, and platinum quartz color. It corners like no one's business, and if I turned off my traction control, it would drift beautifully. With the traction control, it catches and corrects in an intentional slide. The turning radius is ridiculously tiny. Throwing the top open takes about 3 seconds, literally. The seats have speakers in the head area for calls and the higher pitch of the Bose sound. This is my daily driver, and I love it. If you have a partner who has a larger car for the more practical notions, go get one of these before you turn 80. You'll be glad you did.

December 2024 bought a 2023 Mazda Miata Grand Touring with 34,500 miles. Drove the car from South Florida to the SC coast, 10 hours. Fantastic fun drive! 6 speed manual with a soft top only weighs 2350 pounds, spirited ride, excellent power and fuel economy, 35 mpg. Good tech with blind spot monitors, cruise, power windows and locks. Push button start, heated seats and navigation just enough tech. Puts a smile on your face just looking at it, lots of compliments and you are just happy driving this magnificent, magical machine!! Just love it! 🥰

This was the easiest car buying experience I have had. They took me to the car I was interested in. Keys were there, we drove it right away. The price was competitive, the financing was lightning quick. They washed it while I was signing and I was out of there in under an hour. They even drove me to turn in my rental car so I could just drive my new car home and surprise the family. First class business.

This is my second Miata. I also own an ‘03 NB and have put a lot into it over the years. I’ve eyeballed ‘16+ Miatas for years and finally found a ‘21 Grand Touring with 2k miles on it and bought it. Aesthetically, it is a beautiful car. Ergonomically, everything is in its proper place and I fit perfectly at 6’. I have the seat pushed all the way back so anyone taller could possibly find themselves uncomfortable. I swapped the original rims and tires out for some Konig rims and Continental all-season tires. The stock rims are 7” wide and the aftermarket are 8” wide: more traction on the road. Off the line, you can chirp the tires so the power is certainly adequate. The manual gear box is tight and shifts cleanly. It is an extremely fun, nimble, and reliable car. The Grand Touring has the leather, backup camera, and Bose stereo. I have driven this car hard through the “twisties” and cruised it 500 miles with no reservations. There isn’t anything really needing done to this car; it is a fantastic ride out of the box. I did, however, give the performance a “4” because I know there is room for growth with aftermarket products. Nevertheless, you won’t be disappointed. Be careful though! My buddy wrecked his ‘19 Miata RF two weeks ago pushing it just a little too hard.

Peter was the first person who helped me and was very helpful, when I had a family emergency he held my Mustang till I could get in to see it. Kern was the individual who I saw when I was able to see the car. He was very helpful and got me quickly through the process. The only problem I had was the rocker stripe was missing on the passenger side is missing and they have not been able to get it replaced. Hopefully it will be resolved soon.

I own a MX5 with a retractable hardtop. It takes only 6 seconds to go from a hardtop to convertible and I really don't worry about the temperature. It isn't going to crack like a rag top. I have had Miatas since 2000 and its the most fun and dependable convertible I know.

I recently went to get an oil change and was informed I needed my filters changed. This was the first time I was in there for 1.5 hours. Normally the wait is 2+ hours.

Nobody else makes a car like this anymore. If you want the most fun you can have driving around anytime and every time, the Miata is your answer. It's the perfect combination of raw engagement at any speed with enough refinement, comfort, and reliability to keep you coming back for more.

I purchased this car to have a small convertible for pleasure use and it's perfect for my needs. The Soul Red color is beautiful. I am a big guy but after a little maneuvering of my body to enter it, I feel very comfortable in it. It's a 6 speed manual with a short but smooth shift knob. Lots of extras and features and still have to learn to navigate some of them. It has enough power for my needs and great gas mileage. Only wish it had automatic climate control and a little less road noise on the highway. The lane departure alert is very sensitive and irritating but is a good trade off for safety. It needs a cabin trunk release knob and if it has one, I can't find it. I would prefer leather seats and Bose radio system but my cloth seats are comfortable with excellent quality fabric and the 6 speaker radio is acceptable to someone who's not an audiophile. Lastly, would love automatic headlight dimmers so I don't blind oncoming drivers at night! Overall, I now know why it is so highly rated and I love it already.

When I am 64! I loved it as soon as I drove it. Still do. Not practical or extremely comfortable but that isn't the point of a MX5. A 6 speed manual transmission with the BBS/Brembo/Recaro GS-P. Just so you can feel every wheel on the road. Exactly the way it should be in a Fun Race Car :). Car is rated for 40 mpg ++. Who cares! ( I have a Prius for daily driver) The happiness of your life depends upon the quality of your thoughts. With forged pistons, rods, crankshaft sports tuning I am having those thoughts. We have owned the car for a month and have put on 3,000 miles. Its a lot of fun to drive but the passenger side is really lacking in leg room and the center console controls are difficult to get to. Its a real head turner!

Was searching for a Porsche Boxster, and while there were none in my area that met my criteria, I found a very clean 2002 Boxster S in Duluth. After researching the vehicle thoroughly, and determing they still had it on the lot, we drove the over 200 miles to look it over, with intentions of driving it home if all was wel. I driove well, was very clean, and had no damage. The folks at CARMA were very pleasant, and accommodating, and even wnt so far as to meet our counter offer. We were very impressed with their facility, the quality of vehicles they had, and the friendly and knowledgeable employees. We drove the car home, and are looking forward to enjoying it for many years.

Many years ago, I had a 1972 TR-6 that was a blast to drive, but painful to own due to reliability issues. The 22 Miata offers the same fun and enjoyable driving experience without any concerns regarding reliability. It would not be my choice for a daily driver, but at least it can handle foul weather without concern. The excitement of road trips in the Miata makes the trip a far more enjoyable adventure.

My overall experience with this dealership and sales associates were very pleasant and sufficient. I was able to take my time in selecting my vehicle and was given accurate pricing info as I had already did my research for the car I was interested in. I wasn't pushed into a car I didn't want or desire after I decline to purchase the original car I went to the dealership to test drive. The associate took the time to look through the online lists of cars within a 150 miles of his dealership and after locating a car that I liked he was able to have the car transferred in from another state free of charge. I was called when the car arrived and made an appointment to check it out and I made a purchase.

this is the one of the most fun cars i've ever driven and i've had many cars in my life. the handling is unbelievably awesome. the Bose stereo ROCKS!! it's really a tuner with an great exhaust note. i guarantee you will love the miata. 1 downside - i am almost 6 feet tall and i sometimes bump my head when i get in but it is well worth it.

It was love at first test drive....I went to buy a 2007 Mini Cooper S 6 speed, well when I got to the dealer and the Cooper was sold, but they had just gotten a 07’ stormy blue mica Mx5 5-spd. I never even wanted an Mx5 but I took it out for a test drive, loved it and I bought it the next day. That was 10 years ago. I still have that Mx5 and it is my daily driver, I’ve kept it up and do maintenance regularly and keep all the paperwork. The most expensive thing that I’ve had to replace is the soft top which I did myself, but will never do again. I chose the cloth over vinyl it wasn’t too much more (Remember if your windows are tinted & you replace the top you have to re-tint the back window bc it’s glass w defrost) FYI. Other that that I’ve replaced the tires 2x. And the spark plugs 1x, I have added a K&N air filter. I’ve replaced the battery 2x and thats it. I can say that this car has given me peace of mind by how reliable and fun it is. Mazda recommends premium fuel so I’ve always used premium fuel. Ya I know that sucks but it’s worth 12.7 gallons of premium fuel for a completely full tank, that’s lasts approximately 400 miles. I have thought about replacing it with the Mini Cooper S, but I just love the Mx5’s rear wheel drive and light weight reliability I mean Mazda has gotten this car down to almost perfect. Don’t let people influence your buying by saying it’s a girls car or a hairdressers car or even a gay persons car. They actually did a study and not one hairdresser owned an Mx5. They mostly owned pt cruisers and mini Coopers. FYI (not that your profession has anything to do with a car!!!?) If that were true go then go (Mx5 hairdressers/girls!!!) bc they’re on to something most men don’t know, it’s one of the most raced cars on the planet. Enough about stereotypes. The facts are it’s been around 3 decades. It’s also landed a semi permanent place in the Guinness book of world records being the best selling sports car in the world. So don’t be surprised if your at a red light in your F250 and a girl or guy or hairdresser in an Mx5 is next to you bc they can and might make you look like an idiot in front of your passengers. By flying off the line before you Even know the light is green trust me I’ve done it more than once, and they usually meet up at the next light yelling at you to slow down, while they are yelling at you see green and do it all over again, LoL they’ll more than likely get behind you at this point thinking that they can blind you with their lights. Just flip the pwr mirror button to the far left and tilt your mirror up bc it blinds the driver back (instant Karma) that being said the Mx5 is not a luxury car, But it’s not supposed to be. I like to think of it as a smart man or woman’s race car. It has everything that you will want or need. Unless you don’t want to feel Or hear the engine along with your z-rated tires screaming and leaving their DNA on the road. Look the car up read a few articles and then test drive one (manual) if possible, but even the automatics have paddle shifting (I’ve never driven an automatic Mx5). Whatever version you choose I’m sure it will “WoW” you if you’re new to this classic automobile. After all the only thing you have to miss out on is the time of your life. I bought my Miata about 7 years ago. It’s a base model- British racing green. I get more compliments and offers to purchase the car - it’s unbelievable! While my automatic is not great on gas with 110k miles, I’ve only had to replace the brakes. I really enjoy how tight it handles... what a great car!

Haven't had the car long but I loved it as soon as we pulled off the lot for the test drive... The car definitely isn't practical or particularly comfortable but that isn't the point of a miata... I got a manual transmission club with the BBS/Brembo/Recaro package so you can feel everything on the road, which is the way it should be in a car like this... For having electric power steering the feedback from the steering wheel is great, it is tuned so well that it feels like a hydraulic system... The shifter is still as crisp and mechanical feeling as it was in the older Miatas (if it's not broke, don't fix it) and is extremely satisfying to run it thru the gears... There is enough torque to cruise in 6th gear at 35 mph, and at anything above maybe 1700 rpm you have enough power to pass without downshifting (if you're not trying to pass too quickly) and it makes good noises and pulls pretty good at higher RPM... Car is rated for 35 mpg highway but I have babied it and got pretty close to 40 while having to stop at a few lights and driving with the top down... If I were only on the highway and tried I could easily get better than 40 with the top up... Would not recommend one as your only car unless you never take road trips and never buy more than a couple bags of groceries at a time (my other car is a Crown Vic so I'm covered for comfort and grocery getting), but if you are looking for a second car or can live with the downsides of a tiny convertible as your only vehicle then I can't recommend the ND enough... I'm smiling like an idiot every time I get in it... Can't speak to reliability yet as mine has less than 1000 miles on it, but I have heard it has forged pistons, rods and crankshaft I would imagine at least the bottom end of the engine will be bulletproof...
