I do a lot of research on cars before purchasing and bought this for a song needing a little cosmetic TLC. Having owned two Volvos, can confirm that the 500 has a similar feel to the S80 and XC90 as claimed. Overall this car is an amazing package with around 30 mpg on hwy & low 20's in town. The six-speed FWD SEL has a motor that pours and the transmission is smooth as silk. For the Euro lovers squint a little bit and you'll see a Passat coming down the road. For the SUV fans, this rides like an Explorer (also owned prior) and at 6 ft 4 in and 240 lb this car still swallows me up. It's definitely a stylish land yacht with nimble moves. Surprisingly the 500 is jockying for top position as my favorite ever

Great customer service, they helped me fix an issue that the finance company made. They were very patient and called everyone they could to make sure my loan was still intact and that the financing company owned up to their mistake and made things right. Had a 2012 Fusion Hybrid that got rear ended and totaled.... Insurance/market value didn't pay much, my 40mpg days are over... Bought a Nissan Leaf for around town and the 500 for longer trips and for my son to learn to drive, big safe car, smooth as silk.... I just bought it, an 06 SEL 6sp fwd with 117k (8/19/20) for 3650 plus taxes and bs doc fee, haggling involved, got him down from $3995. First impression was dude started it while I had the hood open and was looking at the engine, no movement, very little vibration, smooth as silk.... AC works, LoL... "This is a big car", I said to myself.... test drive begins..."Oh this is smooth, comfortable"..... engine builds steady power, it will get up and go, you just have to push your right foot down more than you're used to. Ride quality comparable to Buick, even Cadillac... Loving it so far

Very Luxurious Car inside and out, super reliable, never had any issues, drove the S500 and BMW 7 series before buying and liked this much better. Bought it used but it felt brand new. It is the best value luxury car available. Really amazing on long road trips or when you are in the car all day, it is like driving around in a recliner or a living room couch.

I owned a 2007 Cobalt LT for 6 years as a daily driver. It was by far one of the best and most reliable cars i've had. never once had a problem with the drive train. The biggest issue I had was having to replace ball joints frequently. parts are very cheap and readily available just about anywhere. It always got 30 mpg on the highway and kept up with traffic well.

Bought my 2002 Lexus ES300 from the original owner in April 2021 w 161k miles. They had it serviced at a local Lexus dealership in NJ from day one to 110k miles. They had the timing belt, water pump and valve cover gasket all done at 88k miles. All this info was taken from the lexus owners website using the VIN. A few months after i bought it, the rear struts starting leaking, i had all 4 replaced, also replaced the original Alternator and AC compressor (it started to squeal). This spring i had to change the original starter. All original parts lasted nearly 20 years ! which proves the durability of Lexus (Toyota) parts! Replacement parts except the struts were replaced with GENCO. T This car now has 172k miles and i change the synthetic oil myself every 5k miles. This will last me many years, i don't plan on selling it until the wheels fall off which is never!! It rides like new with new struts, everything still works. Quiet like an EV, super solid and tight. The engine and transmission are solid. At 3k miles after my oil change no oil is burnt off, still shows full on the dipstick. There is a 2002 ES300 on YouTube as of about 3 years ago with 596k miles (highway) w. original engine & tranny. Just a testiment to the build quality

Purchased 2016 Scion IA 6 speed MANual transmission brand new June 2016. As of writing this on December 10th 2023 the car has almost 293,000 miles. I've been doing my own maintenance such as fully synthetic oil changes since the beginning. I replaced both front control arms, alternator, spark plugs, one engine mount which was my fault it broke, driver's seat (because I was 335 lb max at 6 ft 2 in tall and the seat broke because I was fat), but this is just maintenance and wear and tear that is expected with such a high mileage car. The important things like the engine and transmission are still good. It burns some oil but I keep up with topping it off and this is expected at high miles using a thin 0w 20 oil. I only buy manual transmission vehicles and have been driving stick since 2005. My Scion has the original clutch which still grips like new with no slippage and the shifts are still buttery smooth. The reliability of this non-turbo low horsepower 4 cylinder engine with the 6-speed manual transmission is astonishing and maintenance and repairs are very simple because it's a 4 cylinder. This Toyota Scion IA is actually a Mazda 2!!! And this car has taken a beating because I drive it for work following people so it has a lot of idle time, a lot of highway miles and a ton of stop and go driving! I would obviously recommend. It's a shame these aren't made anymore and you can't buy the Mazda 2 itself! Purchased for a little over $15,000 brand new in 2016 with about 30 mi. Now today's market has this vehicle listed at around the same amount with a bunch of miles!

Had a 2022 Elantra for 3 years only reason I got rid of it was the fact it was a lease and the 36000 miles was up and I did not need a 3rd vehicle. Used this car solely for road trips it had been to 28 states in total and never let me down. Car a bit low for bigger people like myself however very comfortable driving, got phenomenal gas mileage I could get from NH to VA on a single tank with gas to spare. Overall not a fan of Hyundai however I wouldn’t hesitate buying another Elantra. Only Con I ever had with this car was the fact it is so low to the ground it makes it a magnet for rocks to the windshield I did replace 3 while owning.

The 2019 CLS450 stands as the pinnacle of my car ownership experience. Despite initial reservations about the V6 engine, it delivers ample power for everyday driving needs. Being a low-production car, encountering another on the road is a rarity, adding to its allure. I am now 3 years into ownership of a 2018 CLS 550, which I purchased new. The motivating factor to buy was that this was to be the last year that the big twin turbo V8 would be offered and it is a wonderful powerplant. I have not had one moment of regret since the day I picked my car up at the dealership and this includes MB service, which has been superb. I have done a few minor upgrades to the car, such as adding CarPlay, eliminating the engine shutoff feature, adding a rear spoiler and swapping out the standard front grill for an AMG vertical bar version. I haven't owned a car for 3 years+ in 50 years of driving, but every time I start to look at replacing my CLS, I can't find a vehicle that I would be satisfied with over the CLS, without spending well north of $100k. I love the power, the handling, the luxury features and the gorgeous lines of this car. In my opinion, at its current used car price, if you could find a 2015-2018 model year, (pretty much the same car) with low mileage, its one of the best used cars available. Strongly recommend.
