2026 Subaru Crosstrek Hybrid review
Prior to buying a 2021 Subaru OutbackXT we had never owned a Subaru. We were looking to replace a Toyota Rav4 and began searching for alternatives. We had driven an Outback our Daughter was given as a Service Loaner. We really liked the car, but it seemed really underpowered. Therefore, when Subaru introduced the XT (Turbo) we decided to drive it. The XT option made all the difference in the world and we bought the vehicle. We have been very pleased with the car. What we really like is the road feel when driving the Outback. It actually feels like driving a car, not the top heavy feel so many SUV's seem to have. That was the primary reason we got rid of the Rav4. My Wife just didn't like the feel of driving the car. Now to the Crosstrek. It feels like driving a shortened version of the Outback. It has a very nice road feel and doesn't seem to have the top heavy feel either. Our Daughter had a Crosstrek several years ago. It was a very nice functional car but, again, it severely lacked power. The Hybrid HP has taken care of that. It does not at all feel like the dog it used to be as far as acceleration. This is not to say we're speed freaks, but it is nice to have the acceleration for those moments of merging into traffic and getting around other drivers on the road. Like our Outback, my biggest gripe of both cars is the lack of interior storage space for personal items, but that's a small gripe. Overall, we like both cars very much. They are very practical and seem to be very well made. After years of driving Mazda, Toyota and Honda's we now own 2 Subaru's. Thus far we are very pleased with both. Living in Northern Ohio, it's a bonus having 2 AWD vehicles.

I recently took my car in for oil change, tire rotation and 5 point inspection. Everything went smoothly except no one checked the tire pressure and made the needed adjustments. In fact I’m not even sure the tires were rotated. I knew the tire pressures needed to be adjusted …..I guess it was my assumption they would check / correct the tire pressures. After I was on my way home I checked the tire pressures and the numbers are the same as before I took the car in to them

2026 Subaru Crosstrek review
I purchased my new 2026 Subaru Crosstrek Limited from White's Mountain Subaru in Casper, WY. I selected the Subaru after doing a lot of comparison shopping and research. The Crosstrek was the best value for the money. I am an older person and the adjustable seats are at a level that is easy to get in and out of. The cabin is roomy, and there is plenty of space in the cargo area. The heated seats and heated steering wheel are a nice feature. The ride is very comfortable, especially on longer trips. The vehicle is solid - well built. Subaru's commitment to safety is apparent and that gives me peace of mind when I'm on the road. Overall, I am very satisfied with my new 2026 Subaru Crosstrek.

While we had to drive 1.5 hours to Morgantown from Pittsburgh, it was well worth the service and price. We spent a lot of time on the phone and texting to get everything sorted out and they even found the exact Crosstrek, trim, option package, and color we wanted and brought it to the lot just for us. Subaru offered a great financing deal on a new vehicle which helped us move from a used car to new car, but zero pressure from the dealer to do this. We never felt pressure and never pushed to take their existing inventory, compromise, or up-sold. Distinctly different environment than other dealerships that I've visited, the Subaru team here are truly working to get people the best vehicle for them at the best price possible and they seem like a big family. Great value. Good combination of performance and economy. Sometimes while first starting the conversion from battery to gas mode is very noticeable. Gas mileage should be around 36 for combined driving in the warm weather.
