2025 Volkswagen Taos review
I like the white and black combo. I like that it's not too big and is AWD. Still getting use to the technology. I can start and lock the doors from my phone. It notifies me if I left a window or the sunroof open. Will not go far if the trunk door is not completely shut. This is my 1st suv, I like sitting up higher than in a sedan.

June 30, 2026 It was Sunday June 28, 2026 at about 10:30 PM at night on our drive home to Illinois when we experience a brake system failure, there was a loud squealing on the rear brakes without even stepping on it and then later was a loud grinding noise. Since I had my family of four with me, and for the safety of everyone, I decided to exit the nearest town and drop off the van to the nearest available Honda dealer service center. Drop it off, hoping that it will get fixed the next day. The Honda dealership was Herson’s Honda at Frederick, Maryland. Herson's Honda - New & Used Honda Dealership That night, there were already 12 cars dropped off ahead of us and I was the 13th drop off. I took the chance and will just wait for the car to be fixed the next day. We stayed in a nearby hotel and rented a car near the Honda dealership. MONDAY Morning, My wife and I drive to Honda the next morning to check the repair status of the van. My overall experience with Herson’s Honda was more than I expected. It was outstanding! 1. Cleanliness: area is clean and organized. 2. Staff: I was immediately welcomed by one of the service advisors and was directed to the service advisor who was assigned to my car. 3. Service Advisor: his customer service was outstanding from start to finish. His name is JAMES SPRADLIN. 4. Empathy: James understood my feelings and frustration and concerns and the need to drive the family home but theres other customers who were ahead of me with appointment. But James constantly monitored repairs in progress. The next day i received a text from Honda dealership of possible repair and parts to be ordered asap. 5. James constantly provided me an update thru the app. I like that app. Shows all, cost, diagnosis and the choice to accept repairs or not. Thank you James. It was really helpful to relieve a lot of stress and worries if the car will be fixed soon OR get stuck in Maryland. 6. Service and Repair: Diagnosis and recommendations were was as I expected. Technicians were honest and did a good repair on the brakes. It also did more damage to tue caliper which I also suspected. 7. Cost was regular labor and parts. No issues with it. Lives and safety are more important and irreplaceable. Money can be replaced. 8. TUESDAY June 30, the job was completed Tuesday evening. UPDATE: its almost 600 miles since we left Herson’s Honda and the van is rolling great. had no issues. Thank you all especially to James OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE and the honest technicians diagnosis which were all correct! God bless you all. 5 stars to Herson’s Honda at Frederick, Maryland. 2026 Honda HR-V review
Previous ownership of Honda vehicles because of their reliability. It' the number reason for this purchase. The HR-V is perfect for my wife and I as it's affordable to operate and maintain, comfortable size wise, simplistic in its design and features. So many vehicles just have too many electronic extras that just are not needed or even used. Love the clean design and fit and finish of the interior components, dash, panels, trim and seats etc. It's Honda reliability, a nice car for the price.

2023 Volkswagen Taos review
First off the gas mileage is great. I can get up to 30-32 miles in city and get up to 40 on highway. Its an excellent ride very smooth. Its feels real sturdy and safe. Has driver assistance to prevent crossing lines or hitting person in front of you. Has backup camera also and the sun roof goes from the fron to the back of the roof The more I drive it the more I love it.

I came into the dealership to get a warranty repair completed and was impressed with the loaner car I had received and started toying with the idea of a new car. In the past, my experience had not been so great at Darcars but I remembered a few great individuals who saved the day, so I decided to check out what 2019's they had to offer. In my perusing, Mr. Milton Stiff came to the rescue. He was helpful without being overbearing or pushy. Due to having a 2018 Accord, I was pretty much aware of what the car had to offer and just really wanted a new car without having to pay more to have it. Mr. Stiff showed me a few different cars, but I was still attached to the same model I already had. So with the help of the awesome finance manager, Kerry Dillard, my wish to have a newer car was accomplished. This was my second opportunity working with Mr. Dillard and once again he made my experience with Darcars of Honda a joy. He added to the great care and concern I received from my salesperson, Milton Stiff. They were both very welcoming, professional, honest, straightforward, and friendly. I was able to get GAP insurance and additional coverage for my car without issue (a definite necessity when buying a car) and for a nominal cost when you look at how much an accident or damage to your car could cost you. The transaction was seamless and did not take much time to complete. I would definitely recommend coming into Darcars of Bowie to see Milton Stiff and Kerry Dillard when buying your next vehicle for an amazing car buying experience.
2025 Honda HR-V review
Love the car....I have 2 concerns. First, the driver's seat is not comfortable (this is my wife's car) ....the other seats are fine. This is weird. We have the all wheeled drive version. It loves gasoline !!! My Toyota Corolla gets 38-40 mpg with a smaller but peppier engine. This HR-V Gets between 25-28.....not sure why. HOWEVER. This car drives like a dream... VERY SMOOTH. Love the car !!!

So slow it’s almost unsafe! Front seats are not comfortable. Blind spot in side mirrors. Everything else is good. Base engine needs 40 more horses. Sport trim should have a turbo engine.

2025 Volkswagen Taos review
Purchased new Taos SE AWD end of April. Only have about 1,700 miles on it so far but I am very impressed. Fit and finish are great; rides smoothly and quietly. Many features on the vehicle for the money. 8 speed trans is seamless in its operation. Engine idles so quietly that my wife asked me why I had shut off engine when it was idling in a parking spot. Only concern (and it’s a very minor one) is need for more horsepower. I know that the’25 Taos has 17 more horsepower than the’22-‘24 models, but vehicle still feels like it needs more on inclines with four people in the car and when driving into high winds. But that is the only concern; made a great decision when I bought this car.

2025 Volkswagen Taos review
I bought a 2022 Taos and drove it for 3 1/2 years. I liked the car so much that I bought a 2025 Taos. My wife is now driving the 2022 and I am driving the 2025. Both cars are pure joy to sit in and to drive. The interior and legroom are spacious. The only negatives are the VW does not offer a power, passenger seat and a power hatch closer. Other than that, it is the perfect vehicle for us.

What a great car. Very smooth in accelaration. Cannot feel the auto change. Great accelaeration and very comfatable and tight to drive. My insurance went down because of all the safety features on the car. Have to read the manual to understand them all. My only beef is that the diplay feature for sporty as in the manual does not come up. If its in the manual then VW should have it avalaible

Outstanding experience at HERSON KIA. I tested 3 other cars and dealers and 2 I walked out, nobody approached me? A woman looking at cars. Sam approached me as soon as came in and just asked if I had a question. That was it. I looked around and he let me if I had a question. It was so nice not to have someone hovering. Sam took me for a test drive. He explained everything about the car and didn’t get upset when I took the car on an unpaved street. He may have turned a tad green! During our negotiations for the car, again no pushing, it was, do I dare say, a pleasant experience. Once we agreed I had to do some paperwork and had so much trouble, he actually went on line and got everything done. Andrea in finance was very informative, not pushing us to add on, etc. Extremely knowledgeable and put up with some dumb questions. We felt comfortable and no headaches no push for more additions. I rate Herson’s Kia on Fredrick Rd a 10 out of 10. I’d go back in a heartbeat and work with Sam again. Thanks Herson’s for my new Kia Sportage Hybrid Prestige.

2021 Nissan Rogue Sport review
Have owned a 2021 Rogue Sport for 6 months. I’ve noticed a lot of people commenting on acceleration issues while merging on HWY. unless mine is in eco mode I have no problem merging at HWY speeds.

2019 Chevrolet Trax review
I've had my Trax for many years now, bought it slightly used with only 30,000 miles on it. Now with 80,000 on that engine and I haven't really had a problem with it. It's decent in the snow, a little slower on the highway as it is slow to accelerate up to speed (not really a huge issue for me). This car can take a beating pretty well and keep going as I had blown tire while on the highway and drove into a ditch. I was able to get the car out of it and park on the side of the road until help arrived.

2024 Mazda CX-30 review
The turbo is remarkable feat of engineering. 227 HP from regular unleaded and torque that leaps right from the get-go, maxing out by 2500 rpm. 29 MPG on a trip with 2 hours of highway and 1.5 of city stop & go. Add 93 Octane and you get 240 HP and change. Very responsive steering and suspension. The Premium Plus will spoil you rotten. THAT SAID ... the gas tank is tragically under-sized. Good luck getting to 300 miles even on a well-behaved week of driving. Though 2 gallons remain when the panic lights up on the dashboard, you won't know how much you've used of it thanks to zero=2 gal on the gauge. Also, at 1 of those is just used to keep the fuel pump cooled. We've wrestled for months now over whether it's even safe to drive around these parts with a measly 275 mile range.

First time I went in, was just looking to see what was on the lot and was greeted, and after that, not another contact with anyone. When I came back to test drive a few vehicles, got a great sales guy. Overall selection of vehicles is quite nice, and most of the vehicles are almost new to very good condition. Though Carmax likes to display the image they sell cars that have or haven't had any issues, you'll find you'll need to look closer. Most are bought at auction after coming off lease or from being a fleet vehicle. Which is a good thing, as you the regular maintenance was done on them and often the vehicles have original warranties still in effect depending on what vehicle you are looking for and what year. The sales guy was low pressure, and when I came in the next day to buy, I was given another one since he was completing a sale on another customer. Wasn't an issue, as he or the guy that took over were truly "car" guys. The liked cars, had sales experience, but weren't "car" guys. The experience was good overall, but the highlight was completing the deal. Paperwork was done quickly (I had preapproval from my credit union with EFT) and finished the paperwork in about twenty minutes. Amazing, got the vehicle at just an average price, but go the mileage I wanted, with original warranty and extended warranty at the price I was willing to pay. SO overall, win for me, and though I was never a Carmax fan (still rubs me the wrong way their colors are almost best buy colors when their parent company was circuit city....). But I will say my mind was changed.
2022 Nissan Kicks review
Good quality car. After so many long trips I enjoyed any time with my family, ex. Medellín to Guajira more or less 1000 KMS ~ 600 miles. It is an Mt Advance version and does not have as many technical assistants. But it is a city car, don't expect too much. it doesn't have much strength
