I got busy at work and absolutely should have left this A++++ review on my Subaru experience weeks ago. I came into the dealership twice, and both times I was alarmed that my Subaru was decelerating and then lunging on the highway. Ryan Young, Service Advisor, was amazing, and Bernard Keuhn, Service Manager (whom I met with the second time), reassured me that Ryan had given me solid advice that saved me from an expensive official Subaru diagnosis. As it turns out, it was the shoes I was wearing! Who knew? I was a bit embarrassed 😂, but grateful to have the problem solved. I just can't say enough good things about these two gentlemen at the Subaru dealership on Motor Way. — They could not have been more pleasant. Remember the names Ryan Young and Bernhard Keuhn. They have your back!
2023 Volvo XC40 review
This is my 2nd XC40 and it is one of the most perfect cars but its by no means cheap. The car can be as loaded as its bigger brother, except for heads up display. They all use the same engines, with the exception of turbo types, and bi-turbo options. All Volvos are moving to mild hybrid as standard and all 2023 XC40's are now mild hybrids. The XC40 is nimble, loaded and well designed. It has just about every feature including all wheel drive, Google auto, panoramic sunroof, power tail gate, and leather seats, redesigned for 2023. It is stylish, detailed and not meant to feel like the entry model. In fact, it can cost more than its bigger brother the XC60! Driving it is a pleasure as it is preppy and confident.

He explained & made sure I understood the various features of each model so I could make the perfect for me selection. He then explained the new features on my new car so I felt comfortable on my first drive home. And he follows up promptly with answers to questions I thought of afterwards. Finance Manager Howar Ruiz took the pain out of all the paperwork (finance and title transfer) everything was well organized & easy to understand each step of the process. And I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the service department where I usually deal with John Korallus for top notch service. I couldn’t be more pleased with the entire process. Just received amazing service at NW Chevrolet Bellingham. First, when I called for service, my cell number registered on their system. Identified my vehicle right away, without me having to explain. On the day of my appointment, I showed up five minutes early, As soon as I walked up, Glen, greeted me, they might have noticed my truck, idk. But I love that I was greeted by someone who was very nice and knew why I was visiting. My truck just needed an oil change, but Glen offered to do a multi point inspection. 45 minutes later, I get a text saying the inspection is complete. I received a video of the inspection and the machine that gave the reading. I also received a notice on what was needed. I had the option on my text to approve and not. I approved windsheild wiper blades replacement. Right after receiving and approving, Glen met me in the lobby and explained everything that I just read on my text. The lobby by the way and nice, clean, new leather seats, and free packaged refreshments. This is by far the BEST car service experience I have ever received from ANY delearship. 2023 Volvo XC40 review
After only a month, I am truly "in love" with my XC-40. I wanted to get one a few years ago. However, Covid-19 got in the way. When it was finally time to upgrade this year, I did it and have not regretted it. Great ride, all the safety features I wanted, excellent ride and handling , above EPA rated fuel economy, roomy seating. Plenty of room for my golf equipment.

After trading in the old Volvo station wagon for our XC60 nearly 12 years ago (a very positive experience), my primary contact has been with the service department (BTW, the first 5 years of service were free). 90K service today. Mitch was my primary contact, and Skylar set me up with a great 2026 XC60 loaner. Scheduling and drop-off went smoothly. Mitch explained what to expect with the 90K check. He then communicated mid-morning by text message with links to the overall service report along with narrated videos taken by the technicians (first time I've seen this - amazing!) explaining additional recommended repairs and things that were less urgent but need watching. I was then able to approve or defer these items online. The loaner was nice while it lasted, but it was reassuring to hear that the car is in great shape and will last a little longer for now. Pick-up was easy, aside from paying the bill (nothing new - it's always $1000 give or take). The 15% off coupon from Volvo took the edge off. RJM
