2015 Audi S4 review: Our expert's take

What Is the 2015 Audi S4?

The 2015 Audi S4 is a four-door luxury sports sedan based on the 2015 Audi A4, which is covered separately on Cars.com. It comes in one trim level, 3.0T Premium Plus, with Audi's Quattro all-wheel drive, a 3.0-liter V-6 engine and a standard six-speed manual transmission. The 2015 Audi S4 competes with luxury sports sedans like the BMW 335i, the Infiniti Q50 and the Lexus IS 350.

What's New on the 2015 Audi S4?

For 2015, Audi released a Nogaro Blue Special Edition that features 19-inch wheels, sport front seats, black leather upholstery with blue Alcantara inserts, and aluminum trim.

How Does the 2015 Audi S4 Compare to Other Luxury Sports Sedans?

While the S4 isn't as efficient as the BMW 3 Series or Lexus IS 350, its 3.0-liter V-6 engine is more powerful than its competitors'. Standard all-wheel drive on the S4 also puts it ahead of both the BMW and Lexus, which have standard rear-wheel drive. It'll cost you, though; the 2015 Audi S4's starting price is higher than either of those competitors.

What Features in the 2015 Audi S4 Are Most important?

The S4's supercharged 3.0-liter V-6 engine generates 333 horsepower. It comes with standard all-wheel drive with a 40/60 front/rear torque distribution. You can choose a six-speed manual transmission or seven-speed dual-clutch automatic with steering-wheel paddle shifters. A sport mechanical rear differential is also available.

The 2015 Audi S4 comes standard with leather and Alcantara upholstery, Bluetooth connectivity, keyless entry and engine start, sport seats and 18-inch wheels. It also gets  standard brushed aluminum trim, Xenon high-intensity-discharge headlights with LED daytime running lights, a power moonroof and auto-dimming heated side mirrors. It's available with 19-inch wheels, carbon fiber or aluminum and wood trim, a Bang & Olufsen premium stereo, navigation, a backup camera and Nappa leather upholstery.

As is required in every new car, the 2015 Audi S4 comes with front airbags, antilock brakes and an electronic stability system. It also comes with standard side-impact airbags for the front seats and side curtain airbags. Rear-seat side-impact airbags are available.

Should I Buy the 2015 Audi S4?

The 2015 Audi S4 boasts a quality, luxurious interior with a premium stereo, and its powerful performance makes for a thrilling ride. It's worth a test drive if you're looking for a comfortable, fun luxury sports sedan.

If you're looking for an efficient sports sedan, though, you'd be better served by another choice. What's more, the Audi S4's backseat is tight, and the lack of a standard limited-slip differential is a notable oversight.

Great performance sporty sedan

This car has met my needs related to performance in a sports sedan. The only downside I’ve experienced is when buying a new Audi, option upgrades are significantly overpriced compared to other cars in its class on the market.

2014 Audi A4

With respect to drive comfort the car lacks what the audi a4 has personified, comfort. Although where it lacks in day to day comfort more than makes up for it in raw power. The acceleration, cornering, braking and total performace are unmatched in comparison from A4 to S3. With respect to price wise, the cpo price was unbeatable for a sports car. All in all i absolutely love the car and would have made the switch 10 out of 10 times.

The best performance sedan I've driven so far!

If you are looking for a performance luxury sedan, look no further! Plenty of leg room front and back and a nice quiet cabin. Power when you need it in any climate or weather conditions!
