2026 Chevrolet Equinox review
just bought my 2026 equinox, not to happy with the snow Ice mode vs having AWD , on thing I would change is getting the AWD that also has a off road package. I am also not happy with not being able to add roof racks after market. Do very much enjoy the added space unlike my 2018 equinox it is definitely bigger and more spacious. gas mileage is good . the interior is very nice and love the heated steering wheel as a standard now. overall I rate my 2026 a 4/5

I've had my fwd lt for a few months now. Great car. At first I thought it was a bit underpowered, but it more than makes up for it in fuel economy. Clean interior, not too many buttons and the standard screen is small but really intuitive to use. Overall an excellent vehicle that fully meets my needs

2015 Chevrolet Equinox review
I bought my Equinox new off the lot in 2015 to be my winter driving car. I’ve had it for 10 years, and have driven it 60 miles round-trip in some of the worst winter weather in the lower 48 states. The Equinox held the road well on ice, in slush, and in deep snow on days that I was on the road before the snow plows. It has always been reliable and has never left me stranded. I’ve had no major issues in over 107,000 miles. I appreciate the cargo space which is much better than the newer models. I regularly recommend Equinoxes to my friends and family.

I found my sales person to be rude and didn’t listen well to what I wanted. He would cut me off when I was speaking and it felt like a debate about who knew the most, or what I expected; him or me. He also questioned my military service because “some folks say they are but they aren’t”. My retired husband had to explain to him customer service protocol. I really didn’t want him to get my sell. They left all sort of stickers and plastic on the vehicle. I haven’t heard from them since my purchase even though I was told there would be a visit in a week after my purchase.
2015 Chevrolet Equinox review
I bought an Equinox 2.4L and it turned out to be great. My wife crashed it, but we traveled far away and it never let us down. It's very comfortable for long trips. Unfortunately, my wife crashed it, but the insurance paid us very well.

2019 Chevrolet Equinox review
The 2019 Chevy Equinox Premier 2.0 AWD is great overall. The 2.0 liter model is very reliable on the freeway and works wonderfully for family trips with children as the back seat is quite comfortable. The 1.5 liter model struggles to get up to freeway speeds in our prior test drive, but it doesn't feel like that at all with the 2.0 liter. The Bose Premium Audio does not have a subwoofer, but the speakers have a deep low range and provide the feeling of a full audio experience. It's quite entertaining when you are jamming out at high volume and your pantleg is rattling from the door speaker. Issue 1. The front seats are rather short leaving 4-5 finger widths from the end of the seat to the back of the legs which results in your legs feeling like they are dangling off the seat, whereas you want something closer to 2-3 finger widths. I am average height of 5'9", so this would be more uncomfortable for taller people. The passenger seat specifically presses into your right leg causing it to start to go numb after 30 minutes, so long road trips in the front passenger seat are quite uncomfortable. Issue 2. I have the 2.0 Premier AWD with every bell and whistle available, and it still "feels" like I am surrounded by plastic. I understand that Chevy is not a luxury brand, but the max comfort trim leaves much to be desired. Issue 3. The Adaptive Cruise feature will randomly disable itself in clear weather. It rarely happens, but it seems to happen for no obvious reason. Disabling Cruise Control and re-enabling it resolves the matter, so it is a minor annoyance more than anything. Something I found amusing - The owner's manual says to use 5w30 for all weather conditions above -20f, then has a caveat to use 0w30 in -20f conditions, and then on the next page has yet another caveat to use 0w40 in -20f conditions.

2018 Chevrolet Equinox review
2018 2.0T AWD with 172k miles on it and it is going STRONG. Bought it used with 31k miles. Zero major issues but I've maintained it religiously, oil and transmission oil changed regularly. Spark plugs and coils had to be switched out at 130k miles but that's expected. Transmission is running strong and still sounds as great as the day I bought it.

2017 Chevrolet Equinox review
We bought 2017 Chevrolet Equinox 4 cylinder. Pre owned with about 59k miles. It’s over 110k and we’ve had the oxygen sensor and catalytic converter replaced. Also 1 tire sensor. We’ve put the 2nd set of tires on the car yesterday. Always Michelin as recommended and brake shoes. I just have to say I still love my car. It’s paid for and I’ll drive her as long as I can.

2021 Chevrolet Equinox review
I had a 20/20 Equinox that I was traveling from Illinois to Florida. As I was getting back on 75 South I got rear-ended and throw a hundred feet. The car took the brunt of the hit my cat that was in the cage in the back never got hurt my dog that was tethered in the front seat never got hurt I got a small concussion with a bump on my head but overall I absolutely love the car. When I got reimbursed for my 20/20 I went out and bought another one I was so impressed with the impact it took for that crash.

2026 Chevrolet Equinox review
Purchased a 2026 RS with all the Toys. Love the larger size. This is my 3rd Equinox and so far it is the best overall. The only thing I haven't figured out is the windshield display which the salesman also couldn't do. When I get a chance I will figure it out.

I’ve had 3 of this generation Equinox since they came out in 2018, and I got rid of the other ones just because I wanted something else. This time I got a Premier 2.0T AWD. It only had 33,000 miles on it and I’ve only had it a few weeks but so far so good. The 2.0T should’ve been the only motor this car came with!

2020 Chevrolet Equinox review
I recently got a 2020 Equinox and there's a reason you see them everywhere. It's a great car that gets (somewhat) decent gas mileage. There's just a few issues I have with it. I've had to ride in the backseat of my Equinox a few times, whether I went out with friends and got slightly drunk or accidentally let my wallet go through the laundry. The point is… every time I have ever ridden in the backseat of the car, I always hit my head on the part where the roof meets the door. I'm 5' 10", which is an average male height, and yet, literally every single time I've ever been in the back seat of my car or in the back seat of an Uber ride that also drove a new-ish Chevy Equinox or similar car, I've hit my head on the headliner when the car turns. I also frequently use this car to transport my younger siblings who don't have a license or are in the process of getting one, and some of them have the same complaint. There's also not a lot of leg room in the back of the car, and again, I am about average male height. Two of my siblings are also around the same height as me. Also, this car is only five years old and the ABS light is already on. Now, this is not a huge deal, but my mom had an older GMC Acadia that she drove for about a decade before any warning lights appeared on her dashboard. Her car's ABS sensor never failed. I rarely write reviews, especially for car dealerships. In fact, after purchasing both new and used vehicles from a variety of dealerships over the years, I have never felt compelled to leave a positive review—until now. My experience with Farrish Jeep Chrysler Used Cars was outstanding from start to finish. What immediately stood out was the dedication and professionalism of the sales team, particularly Bryan and Mikaela. During a massive blizzard, when many people would have understandably stayed home, Bryan made the effort to come into the dealership and personally show me several trucks. That level of customer commitment is exceptionally rare and demonstrated that he genuinely cared about helping me find the right vehicle rather than simply making a sale. I was also extremely impressed with Uday, the Sales Manager. The quality of the inventory at Farrish is noticeably different from many other used car dealerships in the DMV area. While many dealers seem to rely heavily on auction vehicles or former fleet inventory, Uday appears to focus on sourcing owner-maintained vehicles that have been better cared for throughout their lives. That attention to vehicle selection makes a tremendous difference when shopping for a gently used vehicle and gave me a much greater level of confidence in my purchase. The financing process was equally pleasant thanks to Angel, the Finance Manager. He was professional, knowledgeable, and easy to work with throughout the transaction. I particularly appreciated the dealership's flexibility in allowing customers to use credit cards toward some or all of the purchase price, making it possible to earn valuable rewards points—a perk that many dealerships refuse to offer. Angel also thoroughly explained Farrish's comprehensive in-house warranty program. Fortunately, I have not needed to use the warranty, but it is reassuring to know that such coverage is available should the need arise. The entire buying process was a welcome relief compared to some of Farrish's competitors throughout the DMV region. There was no excessive pressure, no games, and no feeling that anyone was trying to maximize profit at the expense of the customer experience. What truly set this dealership apart, however, was how they handled a miscommunication during the purchasing process. Rather than ignoring the issue or making excuses, Dan, the Operations Director, personally reached out to me by both phone and email. He quickly addressed and resolved the situation, demonstrating that his priority was building a long-term relationship rather than maximizing a one-time transaction. He made it clear that Farrish values its customers and wants them to return in the future, rather than viewing each buyer as a single opportunity to extract as much profit as possible. That level of accountability and customer care is increasingly rare and deserves recognition. Overall, this was one of the best vehicle-buying experiences I have ever had. The professionalism of Bryan, the carefully curated inventory selected by Uday, the excellent financing support from Angel, and Bryan’s commitment to customer satisfaction combined to create an experience that far exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend Farrish Jeep Chrysler Used Cars and will absolutely look to Farrish for any future vehicle purchases. Five stars without hesitation. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
2023 Chevrolet Equinox review
I have done several long trips, 2 cross-country trips and in town commuting. It is a smooth comfortable ride, easy layout for gauges and controls, roomy, holds tons of cargo, and has great fuel economy (I have gotten up to 38 mpg on the highway going 70mph). All of these were listed in the "bad"- and this has not been my experience. Furthermore, my dad was side-swiped hit and run on the 210 freeway at 80 mph in his equinox and it took it like a champ. It is an easy smooth ride, I feel safe. I strongly recommend this vehicle- really the best bang for the buck- you get way more than you pay for.

2019 Chevrolet Equinox review
I've been driving this car for nearly two years, have added 38k miles on it so far, and am now pushing 95K everything's been great, I haven't had any reliability issues, and everything is running smoothly. However, the gas mileage is nowhere near their claims, granted to don't drive conservatively but I'm getting anywhere from 19-22 mpg. Great car overall, especially for the price.

The equinox is very nice for the price. My biggest complaint is has a horrible suspension. I even lowered air pressure in the tires below the recommended pressure and the ride was no better. You feel every little bump in the pavement.

2022 Chevrolet Equinox review
At first we were looking at the Trailblazer. Then we saw the Equinox on the lot, and we took it for a test drive. Once we were inside my wife said this is it. The vehicle was very comfortable, roomy and had very good performance. We've had this vehicle for over a year, we have drove it to Los Angeles twice from San Francisco and the gas mileage is phenomenal. I can go from San Francisco to LA on one tank of gas. In San Francisco, the hill assist is very useful. I am pleased with my vehicle and expect to use it for the next 10 years.

Purchased brand new 10/22/22 Malcom Cunningham Augusta Ga. Shot out Travis. On my 2 car’s Equinox & Malibu 22. I love my Equinox LT blue metallic color. Great on gas. Love the app & key fob for remote start. I have everything but. Heated steering wheel, leather seats & I’m ok with that. I get a lot of compliments about how nice the cars are. I gave the Malibu to my 36 yr old son and he loves it. No problem with it. My equinox when it’s really cold in Ga. It will malfunction with some features. Long story short. I looked at recalls and it’s quite a few. But nothing about features messing up.

2023 Chevrolet Equinox review
I didn’t think I would ever trade in my Honda Ridgeline Trailsport, but when it went down, my rental was a 2025 Equinox. I was very impressed with it and prompted me to stop into a local GMC/Chevy dealership and found a beautiful 2023 Chevy Equinox RS just traded in after a 3 year lease on it was up, so the upkeep and general maintenance was important to me, and well kept by an older gentleman who traded it in and bought another New one! Call it faith that it was the same color as my Honda truck in Iron steel grey with the black edition badges and rims too, same as my Ridgeline Trailsport! Took it for a test drive, the rest is history! I was so impressed with the driving, comfortable interior cabin, infotainment screen package, as smooth of a ride as it was, and all easily accessible buttons at your fingertips. The powerlift gate is a nice touch too, amazing! The only possible setback is going from a V6 to a 4 cylinder, so the power lacks a little as expected but is nice at the gas pump! Overall I’m pleased and would recommend this SUV to anybody or family! Test drive and you’ll be impressed as well! And it’s a Chevy! Nice job GM !

this is my 3rd Equinox. I drove the prior 2 about 90,000 miles and had no repairs - very reliable. I have 25000 on this one - no problems - a comfortable drive. 30-32mpg on a trip and 26mpg around town. mine has heated seats and dual climate controls/ both work well

2022 Chevrolet Equinox review
I want people to know what a great buying experience I had at this dealership. I contacted 4 dealerships about 4 different cars, and Yassin F. was the only one that contacted me by phone, instead of a "canned" email. Yassin was so helpful and ran all over this large dealership (in the rain) to make sure things were just right. I would use Yassin again 100%. 2026 Chevrolet Equinox review
The Equinox is a nice SUV, that can be fully loaded and still not break the bank. My Equinox has full power, A/C & heated seats, sunroof with a fully, customizable, large display panel. The rear seats are also heated and comfortable to ride in with plenty of room. The heated steering wheel wraps up the luxury. The engine is a little anemic with a 1.5l turbo and FWD with the CVT transmission. With one person, it is okay, but as you add people, the engine bogs down. However, the mpg whether loaded or not are fantastic with my average of 26mpg consistently. The ride is very comfortable and it competes with many luxury brands for comfort and ride. The design and sleek front end make it a very attractive drive. I would say that if you are looking for a fully appointed vehicle in the crossover size SUVs that won’t break the bank, check out the Equinox. Whether a daily driver, a small family or traveling, this platform provides high comfort and good quality that competes in this marketplace.
