2023 Ford Explorer review
Quiet, comfortable and powerful car. I have the twin turbo that puts out 400 hp. General gas mileage is 19-20 city and 24-25 highway. The only thing that I would change on this vehicle is that I would like to be able to turn off some of the automatic operations on a semi-permanent basis.

WOW!! What a staff!! I spent most of a 3 day weekend going from car dealership to car dealership looking for a new vehicle, I wanted something bigger in size, something better than my Bronco on fuel and something that wouldn't break the bank. After tons of research I found that the ALL NEW Mitsubishi Outlander checked all my boxes. It's sleek, plush and ultra refined interior and exterior makes me feel RICHHH. I stopped into a couple local (Springfield, MO) dealerships and got the ickkk from the sales staff and managers, you know the feeling, like you're about to be taken advantage of, that one! I swear at one point I witnessed the sales manager rubbing his bands together and counting his commission in his head... At this point it wad too late, I was already in LOVE with the NEW Outlander but couldn't force myself to buy from my local dealership so I decided to call up Northtowne. I dialed the number and asked for sales, to my surprise the ray of sunshine that answered the phone was no other than my saleswoman (Sawnya). I explained my entire weekend, went into detail of what I was looking for in a car and told her where I would like to be. Let's just say Sawyna DID NOT give me the ickkk we shared a TON of belly laughs during our first 15 minutes on the phone. I swear it was no more than 20 minutes later and Sawnya and her sales manager (Colton) called me back with good news that we could make it work!! Colton found a way to get me exactly what I wanted for my trade-in, the right price for the car I purchased and even was the first one to greet me at the dealership door with a handshake and a smile. To say this dealership feels like a family is no joke. Every single person I spoke to was kind, generous and eager to help! Finance knocked it out of the park and gave me everything I wanted in a timely manner. HUGE shoutout to Tim in finance for getting me covered with the bundle protection package. (I'd lose my head if it wasn't attached, you don't want to know how many key fobs I've lost.) The 175 mile drive was WELL WORTH it for the amazing hospitality, the expertise level of the staff and the forever friendships I made while here. For my next car I know where to start!! 2025 Ford Explorer review
I upgraded from a 2017 Explorer Sport to a 2025 Explorer ST. It handles better. It sounds better. It is faster. The interior is way better. The seats hug you. The infotainment system is fast and works really well.

2023 Ford Explorer review
This is the first explorer that I have owned in nearly 30 years. I am coming from a ram 1500. I am surprised how comfortable this explorer is I’m really enjoying the gas mileage between 21 to 23 in town. I have not taken a trip on the highway yet.

Apple play used to connect but no longer does. Didn’t notice passenger door wasn’t installed properly until I took a road trip and the noise!!! Drivers side arm rest squeaks as though it’s about to come apart. Very noisy engine over 40 mph.

2022 Ford Explorer review
I purchased the 2022 Timberline preowned about 1 month ago with appx 50k miles on it. I was disappointed that it does not have memory seats or a garage door remote button. (I didn't even notice this when test driving it). Who makes a car today with all the tech this car has and leaves off these 2 things! The interior is comfortable & well laid out. The ride is smooth & quiet. 2.3L turbo 4 cylinder is quiet & has amazing power. At idle it’s hard to tell that the engine is even running. The prior owner put on Michelin tires which contribute to the smooth, quiet ride. The seats are ActiveX (Ford’s name for vinyl) with cloth inserts. I’m 5’ 10” and 175lbs. My son who rode with me is 6’ 3” and 250lbs. Both of us found the seats comfortable & supportive on our 1st road trip. I’ve driven a Kia Telluride, which is a direct competitor. The Kia has a little more tech but I found the ride to be on the harsh side, especially in the second row. This may be attributable to the low profile 21” tires. The Timberline has 18” balloon tires which I much prefer. 2 weeks after purchasing it I made a 2,200-mile road trip from Dallas TX to Orgon. Fuel mileage ranged from 21 to 28 with an overall average of 24 mpg. *if I don’t drive over 70 mph on the highway the fuel economy goes up to about 32! *these numbers are from the actual miles & gallons of fuel used, not from the dash numbers, which I found are a little optimistic. It has a few bugs that I’ll have to deal with, but it’s a used Ford & not a Lexus. Overall, I'd say I'm very happy with this car & would recommend it.

2021 Ford Explorer review
I love my ST all except for seating. I’m just not a fan of European style seating soo we had an upholstery shop up grade them. Sooo much fun to drive! Great gas mileage considering I’m a lead foot. And when needed you can put a full 4x8 sheet of plywood in the back.

2022 Ford Explorer review
I love this vehicle. My 2022 Ford Explorer XLT far exceeds my expectations. Handling is great. Performance is far better than expected. Gas mileage is 26mpg combined average for the 16,500 miles I have on the vehicle so far. The interior fit and finish could be better and the original tires...not holding up very well. The vehicle is comfortable and always a pleasure to drive. I always get compliments on the exterior style. In my opinion, it's one of the better looking SUV's on the road. The rear biased drive train give it superior handling, better than anything I test drove. Chevy, Subaru, or the Kia.

Love the navigation, hands free phone, auto bright lights and Windsheild washer, remote start, sun roofs, back up camera, luggage racks, hitch andtowing capabilities, 3rd row seating and stowing, the Ford app, the Ford warranty, leather heated seats and steering wheel, and all the safety and other luxury accessories.

I knew what I was going on the lot for and was hoping for a fast, easy sale. Jess Thomas (my salesman) was incredibly cordial (both on the phone and in-person), met me at the door and was ready to go. He was thorough with everything, up front with the Carfax report, and answered any of my questions. He also had the patience of a saint when my phone was acting up while I was trying to get a picture of my previous vehicle's insurance brought up. The two gentlemen named David who assisted with the buying process and signing over of the vehicle I traded in were also excellent. They didn't try to throw on a bunch of costly bells and whistles like at other places, either. If you know what you're looking for, they absolutely are willing to work with you in whatever manner they can to get the best deal for you both.

I bought my explorer a few months ago and I love it. I've taken it on a few road trips. Nice smooth, comfortable ride. My dogs love it too. Plenty of space for everything we need while traveling. I highly recommend.

2021 Ford Explorer review
I often drive to the Michigan upper pennisula in the winter. This SUV has never disappointed me. One time I was driving up to Sault Ste Marie early in the morning. The road was slippery with blowing snow. The outside air temp was MINUS 41. i was alone with hardly ever seeing another vehicle. I kept thinking "trust this vehicle" because my life literally depended on it. I had no problems. And everything was on high - the defroster, rear defrost, heated steering wheel, heated seat, radio and keeping my phone charger plugged in. And in case you wonder why I would venture out in these conditions - I was called for jury duty and made it on time !! It has also gotten me out of deep snow.

2018 Ford Explorer review
This is my fourth Explorer. I decided in 2018 to order the top-of-the-line Platinum. This vehicle has all the bells and whistles for a person that wants the luxury of one of Fords top models. It has Platinum leather seats that are very comfortable. If you can find today, buy it. It has the 3.5L V6 that has great power on acceleration. You can only buy a V6 now on the 2025 Explorer ST which is a 3.0L. The cost is around $60,000 Loaded.

2016 Ford Explorer review
2016 Platinum. Nice SUV, comfortable, very powerful, decent fuel economy, fair build quality, but there are some things to be aware of; the AWD models have a PTU (power transfer unit) which sends power to the rear wheels. It is positioned very close to the exhaust, and the heat generated by the turbochargers literally cooks the gear oil in the PTU, causing it to fail. The unit only holds about a quart of oil, and is NOT serviced or checked, even when you have the vehicle serviced at the dealer. We had trouble with the front camera, and the recirculation actuator on the climate control. If you are considering a used Explorer, I highly recommend buying the best warranty you can! The only complaint I have is the road noise. On new pavement, it's quiet, but on all other roads it's VERY loud inside!

2012 Ford Explorer review
We have owned a 2012 explorer since it was brand new. Lots of room for cargo. Lots of leg room Powerful We do routine oil changes on it Amd fix whatever needs tending to…..Our yearly to year and a half maintenance that needs doing is rear bushings that run about 350 The paint chipped on the front hood a few years back but no rust there yet. I am starting to notice a bit of rust starting down by driver door probably from salt from the roads in our Canadian winters. But it handles amazing on ice and snow (with winter tires of course). Driver door rear has started to unstitch. The original Headlights were phenomenal to see down our dark deer filled hiways. However we changed them out and they are not in comparison to what we had. We also just changed our brakes. For having 282+ KMs in it. I will be driving it until it drops

Driving experience is great. Either engine is plenty of power but even the base 2.3l is very fast. Rear wheel drive bias is noticeable in driving dynamics making it fun to drive. The new Google based infotainment system one of the best in the industry in my opinion.. Almost don't even need a phone with how smart it is. Blue cruise is very convenient for long monotonous highway drives if equipped
