So I found myself "carless" after selling my former car to a friend. In the meantime I was able to drive my daughter's truck while she is working in Nome, Alaska. Now there are numerous ways to purchase a used car. Some people choose to find one from private owners which is a good way to purchase a used vehicle if you know the person and vehicle. On the other hand my wife and I have made it a practice to check into dealerships when looking for a used vehicle. There are the people who will say "you'll end up paying quite a bit more when going to a dealership" and, perhaps somewhat more. That being said we have chose to go to the dealership to look for that vehicle. "Why" you say? Well a dealership has to maintain a good reputation so we have always felt they're not going to sell you junk. So off I go to Joe Bowman's Auto Plaza. I met Tristian as I entered into the showroom. He certainly didn't fit any kind of a pushy salesman but more like someone there to show me around. Sometimes we talked about the car I came to look at and other times we just talked. The whole encounter was about the most stress free experience one could imagine. Whatever questions I had he answered to my satisfaction. Without making any decision without consulting my wife I told Tristian I'd call him within an hour and a half. I did and with just a tinge of a "non haggling haggle" we came to a fair decision to purchase the 2011 Nissan Versa. The next day we picked it up after some paperwork and away we went. Had three different sales people contact me .Found out that I am a second class person when it came down to the loan since I had joint car payment already With the wife she would need to sign as well . Not the dealerships fault just I wanted to buy one for myself without the wife’s consent she was not willing .

The mark of a great dealer for me is the service after the sale. I bought a Buick Lacrosse from the Blaine store, adding an extended warranty. After 15 months, I found another car at a different dealer that caught my eye and I purchased it. Having over 3 years left on the warranty, I contacted Mike at Bedrock and he walked me through the process to get a refund. Actually, he did almost all the work and after a few weeks I got almost $1900 back from the unused portion. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS DEALER!!
