2019 GMC Sierra 1500 review
I purchased a new 2019 SLT with the X1 package. It has the Red Quartz Tintcoat paint. I usually never leave reviews, but honestly this is the most comfortable, nicest loking truck I've owned , and I've ownwd alot of them. The only issues I've had was the brake software was flawed, took it to the dealer on recall and they installed a new software patch, Other then that I love the styling, performance and the interior is very nice. No regrets

2019 GMC Yukon review
I purchased to replace a 2017 Tahoe that I loved. Love this vehicle even more. Magnetic ride control, additional safety features the Tahoe did not have are great. Heated steering wheel a great feature. Heated AND cooled seats, will never be without again. Additional power of the Denali 6.2L vs. the 5.3L engine in the Tahoe is impressive. Bose sound system is outstanding.

2017 GMC Yukon review
I bought this 2017 Tahoe w LT trim new. Have 60K on it now and have had no issues with it. We are not towing with it or doing high speed racing so we find the 5.3L Motor is smooth and quiet (and have not had any lifter issues which others have reported). Transmission and suspension also smooth. We keep Michelins on all our vehicles and have found this Tahoe very quiet and comfortable for road trips with 4-6 people and luggage. The LT trim pkg deleted some comfort items I wish I had (like heated steering wheel) but it still is pretty much leather-and-loaded so it was a good value at the time. I have had Suburbans for 35yrs before purchasing this Tahoe and I will probably go back to a Suburban for the extra cargo space when I trade this Tahoe in. But this has been a nice and reliable vehicle for us. No complaints.

2019 GMC Sierra 1500 review
I bought a 2019 GMC Sierra Elevation. I traded in a FULLY loaded 2015 Sierra SLT, that I was really sad to see go, but the Elevation really sold me on styling and ride quality. I lost a couple high end bells and whistles, but the overall performance and look of the truck make up for it big time!

2019 GMC Yukon review
We drove two states over to McKenzie Buick GMC in Milton, FL to meet with Nick and make a purchase on our new Yukon Denali. Customer service was top notch. We were going for their 2019 Yukon Denali to replace a 2008 Tahoe LTZ. We are very pleased with the vehicle. The upgrades are wonderful. I liked the vehicle a 2018 traverse. Told him I had to go home and make a decision. Since I like 30 miles. He told me I could start the process online if I decided to go forward. Which I did. Went in to sign the papers I was on the road in a hour. It's was fast and easy and great customer service. And I'm loving my new traverse.
2021 GMC Yukon review
I own a 2021 Yukon Denali with 23K. At nearly $90k, I purchased every option except for the silly entertainment screens fastened to the back of the front seat headrests. (nice for leaving the imprint of your passenger's faces on the screen in an accident - buy a couple of iPads. First of all, kudos to GM engineers. Technology actually exceeds German cars I've owned. Rear view camera is GREAT and adjustable for brightness, distance and width. But, make sure you purchase the washer for the rear lens...Miirror is almost unusable in rain..(blurring with rain and dirt quickly. I'm 6'2" and really ticked-off there isn't a handle on the "A" pillar to grab to pull into the driver's seat. They put a handle at the upper center of the door opening. What is that for? I have to grab the steering wheel (fortunately rigid with the engine off). Another big problem is the loss of both knees in a frontal accident. With the steering wheel all the way back, I can't even come close to stretching my leg out. Really! A couple of bigger issues: I know the front of this vehicle is right off of the truck, but the end result of the gigantic, unsloped hood, is the inability to see anything 12 feet in front of you. And making right turns.....better memorize that curb before you start your right turn because you won't see it again. Just "that look " from your wife as you run over the curb again with your right rear wheel. Lastly, I hope someone from GM reads this.....With all the awesome high-tech items on this car, why are there no "turn" lights? You know, the lights that let you see where you're going, especially right turns. Porsche has LED lights designated for turns that light up the whole area you're turning into. In the Yukon at least I'll see what I ran over with the terrific rear view mirror! My only intermittent mechanical annoyance is when I push the door handle to lock the doors. It's supposed to fold the mirrors in which is a good way to check you locked the vehicle. occasionally , they don't fold and I have to push the button 4 times. Of course, the mechanic needs only to push the button till it works and tell me it's working. Twice. Guess they win. I'll live with it. Now for the rest: Fantastic overall vehicle! With the air suspension it rides better than Mercedes or Lexus. I always get positive remarks from passengers. The steering wheel control for the Active Cruise control is absolutely perfect. I've driven between Arizona and Colorado without taking my hands off the wheel (just moving my thumb). And the engine, I LOVE THE INLINE 3.0 DIESEL! Almost got the 6 liter but took a chance on the diesel that just came out (in 2021). Same exact torque as the V8 and great for passing. The big difference ..... I had to take a photo of my dash to prove to my friends....heading back to Phoenix with 256 miles on the odometer averaging 30.2 mpg going the speed limit! My Porsche Cayenne gets 19.6mpg (not going the speed limit). The 9 cameras help when parking unless your wife is with you. When I come to a stop I'm waiting for my wife to hold up the 1 to 10 signs like the judges in the olympics. And lastly, For a car that will raise 5" in 4 low, why does the car come with 1 ply polyester sidewalls ? I'm not comfortable on gravel or rocky roads for fear of a sidewall puncture. I highly recommend this vehicle. The designers did a great job making this big vehicle look sleek and smaller than it is. I'm a bit unnerved when I see a vehicle like mine come flying into a parking spot for a perfect 4-point landing and the driver is a 110 lb soccer mom. And I just spent 20 minutes with a micrometer adjusting my position so I don't get "that look" again from my wife. Good luck and hope it's reliable.

2024 GMC Yukon review
Purchased new in October 2024. Total miles driven 9,276. Just completed a 4,734.2 mile trip through 9 states. Just a pleasure to drive. My wife and I were on the road 16 days, with only 8 driving days, longest day was 674 miles. Average driving speed was about 72+ miles per hour. Seat comfort was amazing, no discomfort, great considering having 4 back surgeries. Very solid on the road with little or no driving fatigue. Performance was great. Of the total miles, about 500 were in town driving and 300 miles was in 4x4 in a snow storm coming across Northern Texas in April. Average MPG was 26.4 with my best 500mile drive at 33mpg. The diesel engine is very quiet requiring me to check the tach sometimes to be sure I had pressed the off button. Very quiet on the road as well. This is my first diesel and I would highly recommend it. Plenty of power, great fuel economy, quiet and very responsive when you need that quick acceleration. amazingly nimble for a big SUV. The adaptive cruise works great. My previous GMC was a 2009, 6.2L V8 Yukon XL. I drove that one 140K miles over 14 years with nothing but routine maintenance, a great vehicle as well. I'm writing this review as the friend who was traveling with the truck owner from PA to the Iowa sheep show back in late September, 2025, and I have to say that D'Arcy Chevrolet in Morris, IL, has completely restored my faith in humanity. When my friend's truck broke down while hauling a trailer full of sheep, we were in a desperate situation. From the moment we arrived at D'Arcy Chevrolet, the staff treated us like family. They immediately got a technician working on the truck, and when they realized it couldn't be fixed in time for the show, they did something I've never seen any dealership do in my 62 years – they loaned us their plow truck so we could get the animals there safely. But their kindness didn't stop there. The staff actually helped us transfer everything from my friend's pickup to their plow truck, including the sheep and pen! While we waited, they brought us warm cookies and beverages, and even drove us to lunch. These small gestures meant the world to us during such a stressful time. When the parts took longer to arrive, they simply let us keep their plow truck without hesitation. They also helped us load and unload trucks going to and from the show to make sure we could get there and back as quickly as possible. The quality of work on my friend's truck was exceptional and the pricing was more than fair. But what truly sets D'Arcy Chevrolet apart is the genuine compassion and kindness of their staff. They went so far above and beyond what any dealership would do – they're simply incredible people. I cannot recommend D'Arcy Chevrolet highly enough. They've earned customers for life where we come through Morris, IL in the future!
2024 GMC Sierra 1500 review
Recently purchased a 2024 CPO Sierra Denali with the 3.0 Duramax. Fuel mileage on the highway nears 30 mpg. Super smooth ride with a super entertainment system. Best vehicle I have owned.

2025 GMC Sierra 1500 review
I bought this after going to the dealer just to look at colors. I had a 2016 Chevy 1500 LTZ that I loved. There was my down payment and took this Denali home. Only 2 options. Paint and moonroof. I thought my chevy with 3.42 gears was quick. This one goes with 3.23's. The ride is great. Fit and finish are perfect. My only complaint is this Bose/Apple play radio is not what the 2016 Bose was.

2020 GMC Sierra 1500 review
I purchased pre-owned 2020 1500 SLT in February of this year. The truck rides comfortable and has plenty of room front and rear. My and I both enjoy it. My only drawback is the turn radius (lock to lock). It lacks compared to my wife's 2018 Yukon SLT, or the 2016 Ram I traded in. Have to many times maneuver twice to park it going forward or reverse. Otherwise happy with our purchase.

2023 GMC Sierra 1500 review
I own a 2023 Sierra 1500 Elevation equipped with the 2.7L TurboMax, and it’s been outstanding. It currently has 23,000 flawless miles. I’ll admit, I was skeptical of the 2.7 at first, but I jumped in feet-first and have never looked back. Living in Colorado, I regularly tow a 5,000-pound travel trailer through the Rockies with zero performance issues. The truck pulls confidently, handles grades with ease, and still delivers impressive fuel economy—23–24 mpg on the highway and about 18 mpg in town. I couldn’t be happier with this setup. If there is a negative to mention, that would be that after three years of ownership, the black wheels havent grown on me, and Im beginning to hate em. :) Lastly, the mpg while towing drops to 9mpg which is similar to that of a V8. All said, its been a great truck. :)

2020 GMC Sierra 1500 review
I bought my 2020 with 36k miles a couple of years ago and I now have 60k miles of trouble free very enjoyable driving. It was expensive, but worth every penny. The ride is so quiet and comfortable my wife and I prefer traveling in it instead of our 2018 Acura MDX which we also love. The 5.3 V8 has plenty of power and towing ability. The multi-function tail gate is genius, I hope to never be without one again. We so enjoy all the bells and whistles, especially the wireless phone charger. So glad I bought this truck!

2023 GMC Acadia review
I have owned my Acadia just under one year. It is quiet, stylish, has an easy and very effective infotainment system, owns five star safety and shows every indication of being as reliable as the Yukon I owned for 20 years. This Suv will go to 60 mph in about 6.0 seconds flat. It has 20 inch wheels and tires and will turn better and stop faster than most every Suv. I have front and rear heated seats, cooled seats, a sunroof, memory settings and this is only an SLT. My gas mileage routinely exceeds EPA (with AWD). Driving from Milwaukee to Chicago, I averaged 29.8 MPG at 75 mph. EPA is 26 MPG at 65 mph. I truly LOVE that Car and Driver rates this SUV near the bottom. Better for me. I have the Home Run. The OWNERS of the GMC Acadia rate this SUV higher than Highlander Palisade, Explorer, Telluride and all the rest. Count me among them. FYI, not a GM employee, just a happy customer.

2015 GMC Sierra 1500 review
We have owned our GMC Sierra 1500 for approximately 9 years now. The only real disappointment with the vehicle is that we had to have a full transmission replacement Just after the 100k mile without any warning whatsoever. The truck now has 107k miles on it and now , again out of nowhere, we are experiencing slipping in the trans and the engine light is now flashing. Very disappointing since we are starting to feel uncertain about the reliability of the vehicle now. The truck itself is gorgeous and shows ZERO signs of its age, sporting new rims and tires and a lifted body and no rust on the body at all. We hope there are no major issues with the engine as the vehicle has always been maintained as needed and on time for regular servicing at the dealership.

2003 GMC Sonoma review
Recently purchased a used 2003 GMC Sonoma with the ZR-2 package. This review is based on when the truck was made and not comparing it to today's trucks since it is 9 years old and things have changed a lot in 9 years. Currently the truck has 108,000 miles and runs like a champ. It gets driven 300 miles a week commuting to work and my car is driven on the weekends unless truck is needed for work around the the house. Like all older GM vehicles, as long as they are maintained and taken care of, they will run forever. My Sonoma is no different. Runs great, still putting out solid power from the 4.3 V6, and gets decent mileage for a truck at 17MPG. A K&N Cold Air Intake is installed and does provide smoother running and slight bump in power. There are the normal cracks, creaks, and rattles that happen over time since the interior is really just cheap plastic. Besides that it rides well with the larger 31" tires and is great off road. Normal repairs such as bushings, tie rods, UV joints have been done. Ride can be bumpy at times but it is a truck and rides as expected. Besides the cheap interior build quality, this is another example of a quality GM truck that when taken care of, will run well and will be reliable for many more miles as I expect to reach at least 150,000 miles with my ZR-2. This is my second S-10 as previous truck was a 1992 with the Tahoe package. These trucks are priced well at the time of this review and are cheap and easy to maintain. The ZR-2 package also adds a nice unique look to the truck.
