An excellent first carbuying experience
November 6, 2018
This was my first ever carbuying experience. My father, Grandfather and I drove about 40 minutes from where we live to get to Family Auto, and it was well worth the drive. We first looked at a toyota camry, but eventually decided it was not the right choice and began checking out a Hyundai Accent. When we took it for a test drive, we noticed a loud screeching noise as we drove. James said it was probably just a loose AC belt. When we got back, I was apprehensive about the purchase but my father and grandfather, who are far more knowledgeable than myself in these matters said it would be an easy fix.
We went in to his office, where in the process of filling out the paperwork, James offered to knock a bit off the price just in case the problem was something serious. We were just about to buy the car, when we realized that he only took cash or cashier's check, and since it was labor day, we were unable to buy it right away.
We came back the following night, to find out that in addition to the discount James had already applied, he had ordered replacement belts and had them installed in the car. When we pulled out of the dealership, the car rode extremely smoothly.
James bent over backwards to assure the most optimal purchase and made my entrance into the terrifying world of car ownership that much easier.
