I just picked up my new car at CarMax of Hartford and, I have to say, this was the best car-buying experience I have ever had. I had found a Ford Explorer that I wanted to see on their lot. I put a hold on the vehicle on their website, very early in the morning. By 9am the same morning, I was contacted by Rocco Toce, the most awesome sales person around. I have bought many vehicles through the years and he is the top of the list! We went to look at the truck and he had it clean and ready for us to test drive. We loved the truck but it just didn’t have all the options that we were looking for. I found the exact Explorer we wanted in New York and Rocco jumped right in to help us transfer the vehicle to Hartford. I have to admit, it IS a leap of faith to pay the transfer fee upfront before even seeing the vehicle in person. Rocco jumped in and took over. He spoke to the other CarMax and had them check every part of the vehicle out. I felt very comfortable after he called and told me the truck sounds good. My Explorer made it to Hartford very quickly and Rocco immediately checked it out and let us know it was perfect! I went to see it yesterday. It was beautiful and in the best shape. Rocco took us through the entire car and never rushed us through anything. He sent our Explorer to detailing while my 2009 Silverado was appraised. I received a fair price for my trade and the deal was smooth and handled professionally by the staff. I’m pretty sure I have not had a better car buying experience. Rocco and the team at Hartford CarMax could not have done more to make our experience the best. I did a ton of research about CarMax like I’m sure everyone does. I drove over an hour to work with them and I am so glad I did. We walked out of there with a great, shiny Ford Explorer and the greatest car buying experience!
Tony made everything easy and comfortable and explained every part of the buying process. It was a good buying experience. It helped that I went in with pre-approved financing and a specific car in mind.
I met with Paul Hewitt to lease or purchase a vehicle. Paul provided very excellent service.
I was not sure whether to buy or lease. Paul was patient and walked me through the various options and was very throrough! What impressed me the most was his ability to look at this from my perspective! I dealt like every step of the way Paul had my best interest in mind.
The dealer it’s self is also very professional, friendly and comfortable to be at.

Mr. Salmon, a.k.a. Fish, listened to us and met our needs from the beginning and throughout the shopping and buying process. Also, kudos to the dealership: We felt a sense of community among the entire staff in that if Mr. Salmon wasn't there when we stopped by (which we did several times), someone was always available to us. Fish allowed us all the time and information we needed to make a decision. We liked that.
Just bought my second Mazda this week. Jose was just the best! He took the time to explain all of the vehicles features, was upfront with the car’s history and was clear about the entire buying process. Absolutely zero pressure. Personable and extremely knowledgeable. Working with a sales rep who has lots of experience makes all the difference. If you’re looking for a Mazda, go see Jose!

this young man shows interest in the customer, is polite, and obtains the information in a manner which made my husband and I feel very good about buying our truck from this dealership. He is a 5 star employee.
without the frustrating experience of having to wait for a special tool to come in to recalibrate the blind spot radar damaged from an accident, everyone was wonderful to work with. The delay of getting the tool in was not the fault of the dealership, but rather Mazda corporate.

We are extremely happy with our experience. We purchased a 2016 CX5, and traded in our 2010 vehicle. We were treated very fairly. The entire staff worked together to help our transactions occur in a very timely manner. The salesman (Jose Medina) was very knowledgeable and informative without being pushy. We will definitely be return customers! This experience was a much better one than we have ever had at any other dealership.
We recently purchased a new Mazda CX 5 and had the pleasure of dealing with Jose Medina and Harold Martino. Jose was a pleasure to work with. He asked what features we wanted and brought up a model for us to road test. He is very knowledgeable about the vehicles he is selling. He explained all the modern technology to us at the time of the test drive and again when we picked up the vehicle. He followed through with a phone call a few days after out purchase to see if we had any questions. Harold was also very personable and worked with us on a trade in figure for our Subura. They also offered 0% financing at the time of our purchase. An excellant experience!
I purchased a new CX-5 last week and the experience at Liberty Mazda was excellent. I worked with David and Jason and they were both super nice and not pushy at all. They were knowledgeable about the product and very professional. We were given a great price the first time in eliminating the need for extensive haggling. I would definitely recommend shopping there for a car.
I test drove a new vehicle there and got their no-haggle price. I went home and shopped four other dealers and Liberty still had the lower price. The staff is knowledgeable, has a sense of humor, and take the time to completely explain everything. I highly recommend Malik, who sat in the car with us and took us through every setting before we drove off.
