Jake, my rep, was really the workhorse though. Jake took notes of everything I said I wanted, but then took it several steps further and brought up features I didn’t even know I needed! I thought Tesla held the title for longest range, until he introduced me to Lucid, which I test drove the 2023 Lucid Air… incredible. I needed some “hand holding” to figure out what I wanted, but Jake did that for me and I’m grateful.
2023 Rivian R1S review
The best SUV available right now, according to Doug DeMuro. It's like driving a tank and a Ferrari at the same time. Extremely capable and fast, and also green. A super interesting vehicle!

A lot of the negative reviews on this place are a bit silly. In my experience from this past weekend, if you listen to the salesperson who you are assigned, bring all the documents requested, make appointments, and come fully prepared, you will have an excellent experience just as I did. I placed a 7-day hold on the exact car I wanted, and made an appointment to come test drive it and apply for financing a few days later. I spoke with my salesperson, Jerry Neyland, a few times on the phone before coming in, and he always had the answers I needed. He advised me on what documentation to bring with me, and when I arrived for my test drive appointment Jerry has the car ready for me. We took a quick test drive, I fell in love with the car, and we started the financing application. Since I brought everything we'd need, it was a BREEZE! In total, I was maybe at CarMax for 2 hours maximum. I had been stressing over it all week, only to find out it was all so, so simple. Jerry's customer service is second to none--he was friendly, quick, and understanding. He kept me informed every step of the way, and not once did I feel he was putting pressure on me or trying to "sell" me on anything. 2023 Rivian R1S review
The R1S has exceeded every expectation I had and it was absolutely worth the wait. I’ve owned/driven RangeRover, X5s/X7s, SQ5/SQ7, modelX and MBGLS and none are as enjoyable or functional as the R1S. I honestly don’t know where to start with how pleased I am with the final product. The car looks amazing and the interior is super comfortable for any road-trips. No range anxiety here. Travel to our getaway home for 260miles without a worry. :) The storage throughout is amazing. The ride itself is just FUN. The functionality hits all the marks and the tech is simple and effective. Everything ya need and nothing ya don’t. Going 0-60 in ~3seconds in a 7,000lb car is comical but awesome. Then simply gliding along the highway in “conserve” mode makes road trips a breeze. I’ve yet to encounter a car that offers the full package like this and I’m super excited to see what the future holds for Rivian. Of course I need to have some fair criticisms, and that would be the placement of the doorknob on the interior. Just a weird low spot that is annoying. Then of course the maps they use are not as easy as Apple Car Play. Hopefully that changes in future OTAs, but other than that. NO COMPLAINTS - It’s officially our family hauler and waiting for it was the best decision I could’ve made for a new car .
