2019 Toyota Highlander Hybrid review
We just purchased this vehicle, making this an initial review. So far the vehicle has exceeded our expectations. Our test drive convinced us the car has the performance and comfort we wanted, but there's only so much you can learn from a short test drive. We discovered all of the wonderful features Toyota built into the Hybrid only after we poured through the user's manual and put the car through its paces in everyday use. The powertrain roars into life when you need to get up to speed fast, but quickly settles into a barely-audible purr once it returns to Eco mode at speed. 2019 Toyota Highlander Hybrid review
I like this vehicle, but I'm just not sure about the Hybrid version. I don't really see that it saves me any money on gas and at only 12,000 miles, the Hybrid battery failed. It took over a week to find a new battery in South Florida where I purchased the car. That battery is $500 not installed. Luckily it was under warranty. I've already replaced the tires at 23,000 because after we moved to Colorado we needed better tires that the OEM ones that came with the car. Every now and again I get a warning when I try and start the car that says, The Hybrid System has stopped working. Please turn the car off and try restarting it. When that happens and it won't restart, good luck!!! Time to call AAA. I also wish this car had or could upgrade to Apply Play. First recall is getting fixed tomorrow for a low pressure fuel pump located in the gas tank. It was a long time before they could find the part to repair the car.

Got a fair deal, Beaver had a very capable team who knew how to handle out of state taxes and title. The transaction was smooth once we got to a deal. One disappointing thing, be aware the online price is not the price - they tack on an additional set of line items above and beyond the Beaver “WOW” price. They hid behind “it’s on the website” when I pushed back on it. And then add on the usual paperwork fees.
