This is my 2nd XC40 and it is one of the most perfect cars but its by no means cheap. The car can be as loaded as its bigger brother, except for heads up display. They all use the same engines, with the exception of turbo types, and bi-turbo options. All Volvos are moving to mild hybrid as standard and all 2023 XC40's are now mild hybrids. The XC40 is nimble, loaded and well designed. It has just about every feature including all wheel drive, Google auto, panoramic sunroof, power tail gate, and leather seats, redesigned for 2023. It is stylish, detailed and not meant to feel like the entry model. In fact, it can cost more than its bigger brother the XC60! Driving it is a pleasure as it is preppy and confident.

The staff here is tremendous! Not a single staff member walked by without acknowledging my wife or I. These guys know how to make someone feel welcomed here, the stigma of having a car salesman be pushy doesn’t exist here! Our sales man David Escobar helped us find the perfect suv and worked the perfect deal. Can not say enough good things about him, worked through everything, explained everything thoroughly and then some! After only a month, I am truly "in love" with my XC-40. I wanted to get one a few years ago. However, Covid-19 got in the way. When it was finally time to upgrade this year, I did it and have not regretted it. Great ride, all the safety features I wanted, excellent ride and handling , above EPA rated fuel economy, roomy seating. Plenty of room for my golf equipment.

My partner wanted me to get a vehicle that availed itself of all the current self-driving and safety technologies currently on offer, and after much research, this is car I landed own. And the XC40 did not disappoint. I'm approaching my first year of ownership and comfortably say it is the best vehicle I've ever owned. With near seamless adaptable cruise control making multiple long-haul road trips as effortless as driving across town, my Volvo makes me want to drive it anywhere. Stylistically, it's a bit frustrating to now see every car on the road racing to copy its black-roof aggression, but I still get looks from folks who want to know if "that's a Volvo?" Of particular note is how the interior eschewed the trend of tacking on a giant tablet screen, opting instead for a generous dash-embedded interface that is comprehensive, intuitive and instantly responsive. I also love the app-driven features like remote start and customer temperature. The reputation for reliability is well-earned and validated. In summary, the prospect of this car one day needing to be replaced fills me with anxiety because I want to drive it forever. Well done, Volve.

I have owned 2 Volvo's and both have been amazing including the 22 XC60 PHEV. I once had to wait for a part for longer than I would have liked but I was in a service loaner that was an upgrade to my car so I'm not really complaining. Overall, the car is quick, great on gas when I'm not using Electric daily. It's comfortable, great to look at, it can tow small boats/campers and is great for a small family/couple. I couldn't have been happier, it was just what I needed before going all the way EV.

We purchased our second Volvo XC60 from Fields Volvo in Northfield IL. Our rep Raj did not disappoint. The process from start to finish was seamless. Raj had great follow up to ensure we were able to use all the vehicle features. With service like this we will be returning for future purchases.

First test drive the XC90 T8 very impressive with the performance, drove home on the highway car had a lot of vibration, I didn't expect neither suspected the tires of the brand new car would do that, for about 2 months I still still driving the car around town the vibration didn't bother me too much my first initial thought was the steering technology or how it worked then my AC is not working schedule an appointment going to take about 2 weeks in about 1 week later it working fine, I took it to get checked anyway, they replaced the compressor and new refrigerants , I took a long trip in the sommer, AC not working again, this time they changed the capacitor because it intermittent, in about 20000 miles the rechargeable battery wouldn't charge, dealer replaced the charger cable, now at 30000 miles the battery intermittent charging again, it takes two weeks to schedule in order for me to have a loaner to drive home, first time own European car and I did aware of the Volvo electrical issues but that was in the early 2000's, overall I enjoyed the car, handling and performance is great, the technology in there is helping my long drive alot and stuck in traffic PS: I still giving Volvo chance and pray for theirs engineers to get theirs act together.

Head Light control can not be seen on the column at night. Stock tires were horrible. I switched to yokohama's. The rims design in terrible. There is a space behind the spokes which allows for dirt and brake dust to build up. Difficult to give a finished look when detailing. Plus I can't use the GPS. NOT convenient to communicate with. Engine noise is disturbing. Biggest thing is the TPM. Would prefer it to actually read the psi of each tire. Raises your anxiety not knowing the true pressure.

Yesterday I purchased a car by phone for the first time. As a senior citizen I sold my car on the 9th of March thinking I would get totally travel by taxi or Uber or Lyft but I under estimated the value of getting up and going when you like. We already have had a few road trips with our new XC90 Recharge and we love it. It is very spacious, comfortable, solid handling, and terrific driving features like Pilot Assist. The car is very sophisticated and takes a while to get things set up but that was part of the fun with this vehicle. One thing we wish was available is a rear view camera display when driving. We had a loaded vehicle and view was obstructed with rear view mirror. Another thing we missed on this car is the doors will not automatically lock when exiting the car like on our other GM and Toyota cars. The Pilot Assist is an excellent feature but it could still use some refinement. Exit and entrance lanes will sometimes fool it and car will steer towards them. There are also times when it will oscillate back and forth a little bit but all in all I used the feature most of the time on our long road trips. One reason we purchased this vehicle was for the plug-in feature. It is so nice to be able to do short local trips all on electric. It doesn't quite get me back and forth to work all on electric but it covers most of the trip. That feature will save us trips to the gas pump and wear on the engine. The handling feels very solid and more sedan like than a lot of SUV's we have driven so it feels more secure. You do feel more of the bumps, but for us that is a fair trade-off. The back seat had plenty of room for our adult kids and a good amount of cargo space for the dog and luggage. It was nice for the dog to have a middle seat that folded down separately so the crate could be in the back and the dog could come out and visit. The automatic wipers and head lights are also really nice features and the 360 degree camera for parking is very nice. It is just a terrific road vehicle packed with really nice features with lots of room, and comfort.

He also gave me time to get things in order to purchase the vehicle; something I know would never happen at a typical dealership. 10/10 customer service, car and experience!

The staff there were very helpful with my questions regarding the vehicle I was interested in. They even offered to pick me up at the airport (Chicago O'Hare) if I decided to fly in to purchase and pick up the vehicle.

The car has really nice performance and drives very nicely but a few quirks. First the manuals are only available digitally and in many cases it’s a complex game to find what you are looking for. The search function is not forgiving. In other cases the information is weak and missing key elements. Some settings are sticky (rain sensor for the wipers), others are not ( auto high-beams), with no rationale. The controls on the left side of the steering wheel are a mystery and the customization on the dash board view is either: show the map or don’t show the map ( which disappears when you shift into reverse). The sound controls for the radio are lacking: no fader or balance controls. Lastly, if you want your garage door opener controls integrated into the car, be prepared to shell out another $995.
