Best vehicle Acura has made in last 15 years. Test drive an RDX Advance SHAWD package on sport mode for 15-20 mins and you’ll be sold. Beautiful airy cabin with pano, and the ELS sound system is killer! 2.0 turbo engine + 10 speed trans are bulletproof. Have my RDX Advance for 2 years now and will enjoy it for at least another 5 years. These are made to last, much like my 2006 TL that I have for over a decade, with 200k+ troublefree miles on the clock.

Love this car!
I absolutely love this car. I've taken it on several 500 mile trips and it's by far the most comfortable car I've ridden in. One component many reviews do not mention is the stereo system. I have the A-SPEC, which comes with 16 speakers. It was an important reason for me choosing the vehicle, along with the A-SPEC blue pearl color. The stereo system sounds incredibly accurate and by far the best stereo I've heard in a vehicle. It could use a little more low end power to hit low end notes, yet I'm still impressed with it every time I listen to it. And it's good at replicating sound in all genres. Any track sounds good and tuned perfectly! My back has been a struggle the last couple of years and it's one of the reasons I bought the car as well. The seats are extremely comfortable and adjustable. I run hot and the ventilated seats aren't strong, but do make all the difference to keep me cool and dry. The cornering is impressive for an SUV. The torque vectoring clearly pushes you in the turns and helps you turn; very impressive system and makes it very fun to drive. We have some extremely bad roads in the Midwest and it rides better than my other vehicles (2007 TL and 2000 Camaro), but I suppose it could be a little smoother according to some people. I have no complaints with ride quality. Another great thing about the vehicle is how easy driving long distances is. With the adaptive cruise control and lane keep assist, I don't think I could go without it. I haven't driven a lot of vehicles with this system, but I have no complaints with it; it greatly reduces driver fatigue. I drove 10 hours home when I picked it up, and felt great after. Other vehicles definitely make that a struggle. What many people have complaints with is the touch pad for the infotainment system. Once I used it a few times, I got used to it. It seems cumbersome, but Acura designed it this way to keep your eyes on the road. When you realize this, you'll notice how that is true; it does keep your eyes on the road, and I'm satisfied with it. The interior likely isn't the best in class, but there certainly isn't anything wrong with it and I do find it attractive. As mentioned earlier, the A-SPEC blue pearl is quite stunning. I like all the colors, so you can't go wrong with any color, but do check out the blue and red in person; they're my favorite colors. The overall design of the vehicle is one of my modern-day favorites. The panoramic sunroof is nice and worth mentioning. I've heard people complain about the interior noise, but I have no complaints, even if I'm doing 80. Maybe there are other cars that are quieter, but I haven't ridden in one. Hopefully my review helps you with your decision. I love cars and look forward to driving it every time I get in the car. I don't see myself ever regretting the purchase other than the mpg. Just like most cars, the faster you go the worse it gets. It gets about 24 when I was doing 75 for 400 miles. If you start pushing 80, it can really plummet. I haven't taken many trips at 60mph, but it can get 26 @ 60mph for sure. I'd say it can do 27 at 55 mph, but generally 65 is the speed limit in my state. 21mpg has been the consistent number for me in the city. So the advertised mpg from Acura is accurate.

This place is amazing! They have so many cars to choose from. Plus they have an exotics lane which is really cool, they have everything from a Benz to a Porsche! The whole buying process is very quick, I bought my car in two hours and drove home. In comparison to the Mercedes of Stevens Creek, which literally took me 8 hours to buy after I picked out my car. The only knock is the service department, which doesn’t do paint repair for scratches, even though they told me that the scratches on my car would be fixed, they only used touch up paint, which looks like I did it myself and not professionally done like I wanted. But it was a used car, so no big deal. Overall I highly recommend!

4 moths and 4000 miles, a few rattles have developed, nothing significant, I got used to the touchpad interface and find it to be "just fine" as I typically use CarPlay and do most of my audio control from the steering wheel. The car is peppy, comfy and the audio system is STELLAR.

I am updating my prior review entitled “Poor customer experience.” based on my conversation with Jason the Feuerberg, General Manager at Park Place Acura, contacted me For anyone purchasing a car, please speak to Jason directly. He is a nice person to talk to and knows his stuff on cars. In fact, he asked in the future that if I am ever in the market, he is tied to the entire lineup in the Park Place system. Of course, he would love to sell me an Acura, but he informed me that he knows all the Park Place folks from Lexus and other dealers within their network to help fit your car needs. In full disclosure, Jason has seen this prior to my upload. However, the thoughts, facts, and opinions here are my own. I simply allowed Jason to review as a courtesy to him for helping his employees with professional development if he wishes to use it. That being said, I am giving this specific review of my call with Jason as part of my overall review from the prior experience I had as given earlier. Jason assured me that he spoke with the sales staff, assistance, and sales manager about how they should approach customers as not simply numbers, but as present and future clients. He informed them that even if they are not in the market for an Acura, that they can inform customers of current deals and incentives offered on different dates for Acura cars and leave it to the customer to decide on their own when they wish to buy an Acura in case they are interested in such cars. Jason refers to this as a no pressure approach, just informative and put the decision back into the customers’ hands to make the buying decision. This is a good approach and I commend them for this. I am going to give Park Place Acura another chance by having them service our car when the time comes for the next service. Jason contacted me and let me know about how they handle any type of add on to the car. He stated that Park Place Acura does not not have addendums (e.g., add-ons) on any vehicle, that mandates a client purchase these items unless there is a vehicle displayed on the showroom with any additions, just to give the client an actual visual and making it easier for the client, to say I like that vehicle and would like to purchase it that way. Now, here is my advice to all customers for any car, manufacturer, or dealer. There are some other ways in which dealerships in general should approach customers. Even the above has its flaws and it does make people still feel not pressured but feel more they must make an impulse decision to buy a car because a deal is going away soon. This cannot be avoided, but, if dealers can just keep any incentives going for as long as possible and honor such incentives to give customers some time to think about it, it helps a lot. If customers pass on it then that is in their hands. Dealers are good about contacting back as they are trying to make a sale. So, this allows customers to get a reminder in case they are still interested. If not, then customers can politely say no and that allows both customers and dealers to move on. What dealers do not realize is that some customers such as me will come back if the experience is pleasant. The experience during the visit gives me a window into how the experience will be during the lifetime of the car. In such light, in case dealers cannot make many amends on up front pricing, they can make amends on the back end with lowering the overall cost of ownership. This is not about helping customers afford a car that is more expensive than what they can afford. It is a way to be courteous to customers and tell them they want your business not just for buying a car, come back for servicing, updates, and just routine checks that gives customers the reassurance that they can depend on their cards for reliable use. This is how people end up loving their cars and having great confidence about the dealers they worked with. I want to thank Jason for reachign out to me.

I phoned Park Place on Wednesday Afternoon in an absolute panic regarding service to replace our battery for our Acura MDX and spoke with Susan in the Service Department. She immediately honed in on my sense of urgency and worked us into their already fully booked schedule. She informed us upfront that we would be waiting a while, which we were completely fine with. We were fortunate that my Mom and I just had lunch and the restaurant owners were so kind as to give us a boost out of the parking lot so we could actually get to the dealership. Grateful to them for getting us going and to everyone here in the Service Department that we were able to be accommodated. Our usual service tech (John Thomas) is currently on vacation so our ticket was initiated with James Key. We have met before so he recognized us upon our arrival. He was very clear and thorough, kept us informed throughout our visit, and identified three items that needed immediate attention - the timing belt, the dead battery, and brake fluid flush. They were able to complete two of the three items (due to a parts order for the timing belt) and returned for the installation this morning. I am glad the battery died on Wednesday since we are going out of the country for two weeks starting tomorrow. Every service technician that we have encountered over the years (been customers at the original David McDavid since 2001 and have an Acura MDX of the same year) has been professional and knowledgeable. James had the shuttle driver give us a ride home, called me when the vehicle was ready, and sent a text for a Lyft ride to our house to pick us up. Door-to-door service is convenient and worry-free. James also made sure that our vehicle’s interior and exterior was washed and in shiny, showroom new condition along with a much needed and overdue tire wash. I forgot to get his name, but one of the gentleman there (who recommended a portable jumpstarter which we purchased online) showed us how exactly to use it by opening the hood and demonstrating it. I appreciated that, because I know there is a potential to seriously injure yourself if not done correctly. It is my sincere hope that John, James, and the gentleman whose name I cannot recall stick around because they greet you with a smile, keep you updated on the progress of the service of your vehicle, and make you feel like Family. We will continue to bring our vehicle to Park Place Acura for our future servicing needs.
