I am very happy that I purchased my Ford Edge from Koons Sterling! The entire process was very smooth and easy! They made everything about the process of buying enjoyable. The service department is incredible too! They did an excellent job servicing my vehicle! I am extremely happy with the entire buying process and the service!
This is the ONLY service department that touches my GT for all the right reasons. The service advisors are simply wonderful. They keep me updated on repair status and any change in costs or time involved. I am especially partial to Allen Schindler as he has helped me for over 20 years. The mechanics are all awesome, however, I have my favorite. I've sent people to this dealership, and I've always been thanked as these guys fixed things other service departments were unable to. I have a totally clear conscience in recommended Koons Sterling Ford for any service needs.
Sheehy Ford is fortunate to have wonderful folks both in their Service department and the Body Shop. They went out of their way to not only keep me updated but worked with the relevant companies on my behalf. I am extremely grateful to Steve and his entire team in the Service department and Erica and her team in the Body Shop.
I went in my with dad to buy a car last week and we were helped by Lamont. From the very beginning he was super friendly and listened to what we wanted. There were a few times where we had to reschedule coming back in to meet with him and each time he was patient and understanding. Even though his job is to make a sale, he was extremely genuine and honest in helping us choose the right car for me. On top of that, after my car purchase was finalized (I absolutely love it!), Lamont made sure to follow up. He answered all my questions, and even took the time to go over some of the features my car came with. I worked with Jason to finalize the finance portion of the car and he was great too. Overall, I had a very pleasant experience with everyone at this dealership. I have nothing but amazing things to say about Lamont. I would totally recommend anyone looking for an enjoyable car buying experience AND a great deal to go to Sheehy of Gaithersburg and ask for Lamont!
I purchased my vehicle a couple of months ago and there was a light that would not go out. I have to give extra kudos to Lamont for following up with me and continuing to make sure I was completely satisfied with the service dept and how my situation was being handled. I appreciate that he did not just sell me a car and then forget all about me. The true and most appreciated aspect to sales is in the follow up. Lamont you rock. Thank you. I am still very satisfied with my purchase.
I came in at 11:00am. I made two things clear: I wanted to purchase the vehicle, and I had to work from 5:30-6:30pm that afternoon. I needed to leave at 5:00. I was more than willing to come back after 6:30 to finish the transaction. I waited over 2 hours to get in the finance office, then I was late for work. I was told multiple times just 5-10 more minutes you will be in the finale office, and no way will you be late for work. FWI: financing a car takes longer than 5-10 minutes?
This is an update regarding the last review. The dealership is taking care of all of the issues and getting the windshield fixed and the cabin air filter. Gary Stiles did a great follow up and making sure everything is taken care of
A few years ago we purchased a new vehicle from Cowles Parkway; but the vehicle (although not considered a 'lemon') experienced rain leakage (which they repaired) and eventually a cylinder malfunction that required installation of a refurbished engine.
What gives? Brand new vehicles shouldn't have problems.
Although each of these defects took a long time to repair, thankfully Cowles repaired everything. However, during each lengthy repair, we rarely heard from the Service Team so were not kept up to date.
We thought it's their responsibility (their responsibility!) to contact the Customer to let them know what's going on, not vice versa. We had to call a lot and felt very lucky if we were able to talk to someone and find out details.
Cowles Service and maintenance is great, but overall Customer Service and making contact with the Customer is lacking. We realize they're balancing many customers, but a simple phone call letting the Customer know how things are would be very helpful. Why do we need to call them to find out details?
Very smooth easy transaction dealing with Glen on a 2016 Ford Escape. He made time for me right after I called, showed me the 3 vehicles I wanted to see and arranged immediate test drive, He was low pressure and recognized that I knew what I was looking for. They charged what was advertised with no surprises. I would definitely return for a future purchase through Glen. I would not however arrange financing through them again. The initial interest rate offered was too high considering my credit score is over 800 and was putting 30% down. On top of that, I ended up with more than 1 hard inquiry on my credit for the purchase which is unacceptable. They should use their soft inquiry to determine the best rate available, then the one that *I* pick can do their hard inquiry. I will pre-arrange financing before returning next time
Hello it is Saturday and I really needed some keys made for my vehicle. So I decided to call Koons Ford Sterling and to my surprise I was able to get a quick appointment . No other dealers would dare give you a quick drive up appointment on a Saturday. I immediately noticed that the lady I spoke with was really up tempo and had a strong energetic spirit about her that I could feel through the phone. That lady is Karla M. Andrade Garrido. She was very excited about giving service she even checked with the parts people to make sure that the price was right. Ms. Garrido makes you feel really at home when you call and visit Koons Ford of Sterling she is highly vibrant, motivated, energetic, polite, courteous, organized, knowledgeable and gives a high attention to detail. She makes me want to work for Koons Ford Of Sterling . If there was a Koons Ford College to attend Ms. Garrido would easily earn a Doctorate Of Koons Customer Service Degree. I want to once again thank Ms. Garrido and all of the staff at Koons Ford Of Sterling. They always meet or exceed my needs.
Just want to give kudos to the salesman Rick A. and the finance manager J.C. for a great experience. You can tell that management has made a point at customer service and negotiation to keep customers returning to this location. I had no gripes about my experience there where as I can't say the same with other dealers in the past. Thank You!
I found the Expedition on line and contacted David Cumba from the dealership. I live in Washington State so I couldn't stop into and talk to him so we communicated via e-mail. I had several questions which David quickly answered. My wife and I decided to take the cross country trip and got to the dealership to possibly purchase the Expedition. All employees I dealt with were very friendly and helpful. David even adjusted his schedule to met with us. We ended up purchasing the Expedition and are happy with it and glad we purchased from Koons Ford.
