2024 Honda Pilot review
Overall, the Pilot is a great vehicle. However, it gets less MPG than my 2020 Ridgeline RTL-E. Also, going uphill, the Pilot sometimes downshifts a little hard. This is a common occurrence among Pilots. I only have about 3500 miles on it. The interior controls are varied, but they are harder to manipulate than my Ridgeline. However, the vehicle seems to operate and drive comfortably. I do have a Touring and not an Elite. The difference in price was not necessary as my wife and I do not use ventilated sears. Would have liked the HUD though. For what I paid for the Touring, it was worth it.

We still needed a vehicle, so we chose a certified 2019 Honda Ridgeline. Giovanni guided us through several test drives without rushing us, and the used car manager, Aldo, made sure we got a fair deal. The finance team—Muhammed and Bryan—was just as supportive. They understood how important it was for us to receive our refund quickly, and although they estimated a couple of weeks, the check arrived in only three days! McGrath Honda didn’t just sell us cars—they supported us when we needed it most. No games, no pressure, just honesty and respect. Because of them, we were able to get through a financial hurdle while still driving a dependable vehicle. We’ll continue going to McGrath for anything Honda‑related. 2024 Honda Pilot review
After almost 180,000 trouble-free miles with our 2015 Pilot and an excellent Honda dealer near by, we really didn’t look hard at anything but another Pilot when it was time for a new car. Our EXL, purchased in March 2024, just turned 20,000 miles. We have had no issues with it, and the trip computer says we have averaged 27.1 mpg over the last 5500 miles. That is about 4.5 mpg better than the 2015. The good: It is extremely roomy and comfortable, even the third-row seats. We are very pleased with the fuel economy for a vehicle of this size. The headlights are the best we’ve had on any vehicle. I really like the rugged looks, especially compared the the previous generation. It’s great on snowy and slippery surfaces. The not-as-good: This is my first vehicle with all the modern safety aids. I find the lane-departure system annoying, especially in construction zones. The first time I backed out of the garage with bikes on a hitch-mounted carrier, the car automatically slammed on the brakes so hard I thought I ran into something. (Pro tip: Use tow mode when hauling bikes.) I don’t use the adaptive cruise control because it starts matching the speed of the vehicle ahead long before I would normally change lanes to pass, even with the system adjusted accordingly. However, I can’t see that future vehicles will have FEWER of these features, so I suppose I will just have to get used to them.

The consistency simply hasn’t been there for us elsewhere. Honda On Grand has earned our loyalty because they’ve repeatedly put the customer first. Every three years, I go into the process ready to compare offers, and year after year, Honda On Grand is the only place that comes back with something competitive, fair, and straightforward. I also want to give a big shout-out to Luis Delgado, who has helped us with our last three leases. In all my years of leasing, I haven’t met many salespeople who genuinely try to help you get the best possible deal, without pressure or hassle. I prefer communicating by email, and Luis has always been patient, responsive, and incredibly easy to work with. It makes the whole process smoother and much less stressful. If anyone in the area is considering a Honda, I highly recommend giving Honda On Grand—and especially Luis—a try. Our experience with them has been outstanding.
