Used 2021 Subaru Forester for sale near Gurnee, IL

This dealership is currently getting renovated inside and it’s beautiful! This is also the first time buying a car that I didn’t feel like I was getting “screwed over” somehow. They were very much on our side and enjoyable to work with.

I like the solid feel of the car and the sturdy and high ride. Good acceleration. It would be a better SUV if the ground clearance was at least 10” or 12”, with the exhaust pipe properly tucked away!

Spontaneous windshield cracked to 2 1/2 feet in just seconds! No stones seen, without warning, bang. The part cost $850.00 more for eye-sight calibration! Subaru dealer said total cost, around $2000!

One of the best cars I have ever owned. It drives like a dream, has more get-up-and-go then I ever thought a 4 cyl. could have. I make a 3000 miles trip from Texas to Utah in may and averaged 34 miles per gallon. I would recommend them to everyone.

They were very professional but able to put you at ease as soon as you walked through their doors. There was no pressure and they wanted to help me get the vehicle I wanted. [Most satisfied] All imported, all full-time four-wheel drive, horizontally opposed engine. [Most dissatisfied] The car system is too old. Without Carplay, Carlife is also more laggy. [Space] The wheelbase is 2670, and I sit at 1.78 in the front, so there is enough space in the back and plenty of space in the trunk. [Power] It is very easy to overtake within 0-100. [Control] The horizontally opposed engine is blessed with full-time four-wheel drive, and it drives like a car. Braking performance: The automatic brake is a bit sensitive, [fuel consumption] It has only driven more than 300 kilometers. At high speed, the fuel consumption is 12L. Everyone said that if it is within 10, it will fall off after going out for a self-driving tour and running at high speed in the later period.i got this car from idealauto last year ,that was a marvelous experience . that dealer so reliable .

We test drove a vehicle here and had a really great experience. The salesman, Tim, was phenomenal - very friendly and informative; I would highly recommend anyone ask for him if they visit! We were able to fully inspect the car, including getting it up onto a lift. The entire process was easy, low-pressure, and customer-focused. We ended up purchasing a different car from a dealership where we had a horrible buying experience, which has definitely convinced me that the CarMax sales model is absolutely the way to go. I will definitely be coming to CarMax first for my next purchase. This is just the better way to buy a car.

Have been in for service a few times. Service is always smooth and consistent. I love the free car wash and easy scheduling. I have made fox lake Toyota my go too.

Rees was my greeter and was an excellent source of information and sales expediter. Rees explained the CarMax process and then Listened to the car features I required. He did searches of car max inventory, searches of manufacturers’ sites for additional info, and requested transfer of a vehicle from another location. There was no pressure to buy (CarMax has a five day return policy). Paperwork was efficient, and I even got help getting both the car I bought and the car I arrived in home. It was my first solo car buying experience so I especially appreciated that I got a car that suited me at a fair price and no hassle

I specifically worked with Subaru Specialist Ed Chambers and had a great experience. He negotiated a fair amount for my 2021 Ram 1500 trade in. He was also helpful throughout the whole process of my 2024 Subaru Crosstrek purchase. I wanted a quality vehicle that was safe for my family and one that had great gas mileage for my work commute. Ed Chambers took the time to explain everything, to answer questions, and to make sure my family was taken care of. Ed is a legit, quality guy. I also appreciated working with Noah Cherry, who handled all the financing. I knew I would get a great rate with my credit score, but he got it down even lower than I expected. And although I'm not big on extended warranties, I purchased the Subaru extended warranty from Noah and Ed for peace of mind, especially with all the electrical components and chips these days. Lastly, I also appreciated the follow up after the purchase. Ed gave me a detailed tour of the vehicle and answered any questions. He also followed up with a couple personal phone calls in the following days and weeks asking how everything was going. Buying a car is a huge purchase, so I appreciated his follow up. We definitely love Subaru. We bought my wife a Forester there a few years ago. I loved it so much that I wanted a Subaru as well. We definitely recommend both the Subaru brand and buying from this specific dealership. Highly recommend!

Communicated with John Leno from the Schaumburg facility online. John understood my needs and responded quickly with Jeeps to review - after a bit of humming and hawing on my part, I changed my mind to trucks. I found a truck at another facility, John had it tranferred and within 2 days my soon to be truck arrived - and it is a beauty. John was training Matt and they both demonstrated immense knowledge throughout the interaction and I appreciated the ease of communication (not pushy). I cannot comment on the financing portion of the transaction, but closing went just as smoothly with Hubert and his supervisor. WHile impressed with my transaction I was also impressed with the amount of time that was placed on the training of new employees, or employees transferring. While yes my truck need a repair on the fog lights, it is covered under their warranty, I am highly impressed with my experience. From walking in the front door, to having John take my picture of me and my truck with a giant yellow ribbon... every individual at Carmax truly made the buying and trading experience a wonderful experience. Team Schaumburg, keep up the great work, each of you understand the true meaning of Customer Service, and that is important to some customers like me who still cherish old school values.

Huge shout out to my salesman Daler, the sales manager Kyle, and the finance manager Dan! These guys went ABOVE & BEYOND! I arrived in an Uber, and these guys made sure I left in a new ride! They were all patient, professional, and willing to work with me! Daler the salesman did a GREAT job with checking in with me, while Kyle worked his magic on the phone with the banks! I’m telling you, if you give them something to work with, they’ll do all they can to get you rolling!!!
