2016 Subaru Legacy review
My third Subaru and like the others is attractive and roomy enough to fit 5. I've hauled 8ft boards inside with the doors/trunk closed (only an Outback would hold more). The (now sadly discontinued) 6-cyl engine has about 51000 miles now and is smooth and sounds better than a four. Fuel economy is decent and, on regular gas, averages in the low 20s. It has all the 'nannies' which make driving safer for me. I just love looking at my car which is important to me. This one's a keeper!

2025 Subaru Legacy review
I was planning to buy a luxury brand and test drove the BMW 3 series, the Audi A4, and the Lexus ES300. I then, due to reviews on Consumer Reports, tested the Subaru Legacy in it's top form, the Touring XT with a 260 HP engine, and I was blown away. Almost as quick as the BMW but rode smoother and quieter. Not as smooth and quiet as the Lexus, but more fun to drive. The Audi seemed cramped and the dealer was a disappointment. The Legacy interior was the most attractive in my opinion, has 4 wheel drive, a great sound system, and ended up being my favorite of the 4 cars, regardless of price. When you consider how competitive (or better) the Legacy is compared to the other 3 cars, and that I saved $13,000 on the price, it was a no brainer. It's really sad the Legacy is being discontinue, but all my comments also apply to the Outback Touring XT. The Legacy is a great car at a bargain price.

2018 Subaru Legacy review
I purchased my 2018 Legacy Limited with 2.5 L engine (50th anniversary edition) with heritage blue exterior and black leather interior in May 2018. I’m 75 years old and have been driving since I was 15. I’ve owned many vehicles during my life, both domestic and foreign made. The ‘18 Legacy is the best car I have ever owned. Generally, I don’t care for CVT transmissions but this CVT mated to the 2.5 liter engine is surprisingly quick in city driving. On the highway it accelerates and cruises effortlessly. Surprising for a non turbo, non hybrid 4 cylinder gasoline engine. Approximately 25 mpg around town and 37 Hwy. Fit and finish are excellent on my Legacy both interior and exterior. 4 years later the cabin remains quiet with no squeaks or rattles. The ride is smooth and luxuriously comfortable. It absorbs road imperfections nicely. Seats are comfortable with plenty of legroom front and rear. Plenty of Eyesight safety features but without the annoying auto stop/start and ACTIVE lane keep assist (these 2 features were added after 2018). The infotainment system is not perfect but overall well designed - My one criticism is that the voice recognition feature is mediocre. In summary, a very, very nice well made 4 door sedan.

2018 Subaru Legacy review
Purchased new in March 2018 Legacy Limited 2.5. Used as main commuting car until late 2023-now has 89000 miles. Commute 84 miles roundtrip at 80-85 mph, very steady and secure and 29-30mpg. Excellent in heavy rain (never driven in snow) we get in Houston. Will keep 4 more years but Subaru discontinued the Legacy so likely another brand if I want a sedan.

2011 Subaru Legacy review
Amazing car! Bought it with about 92k miles on it almost a year ago. Great reliability so far, no issues at all. Very well maintained, my only issue is that it doesn't have Bluetooth, which, I know, it's a minor thing, but my old car had it (2013 base Subaru Forester, -10/10 do not recommend). The Legacy still drives like brand new, and is very comfortable on the highway and backroads. Decent gas mileage for the age, averaging around 25 in the city and 32/35 on the highway. No issues with the CVT, either. Not even showing signs of wear, after more than 10 years and 100k miles! Built to last!

His car broke down just before a planned long-distance trip, so he had to take his turn behind the wheel of my Subaru. Every wife loves to hear " You were right"! This is one of the few dealerships I trust to take my vehicle too, knowing that they aren’t trying to upsell me anything, including air filters! I would ask though that they make it really clear on the phone where I should go for whatever service I need. It is probably clear to most people when they call “service” to go there rather than express service, but my brain isn’t always moving fast enough, sometimes I need it spelled out for me “Go to service, NOT express service when you get here” Thank you!

1999 Subaru Legacy review
I fix cars for a living and they usually only have brakes normal wear and tear and leaking water pumps and valve cover gaskets. Other then that's they are pretty reliable. I never owned one but the ones I fixed never needed much work.

2019 Subaru Legacy review
I drive eighty miles round trip to work. My Legacy is quiet, comfortable and the Eye Sight is great! I’m safe and secure knowing my Subaru has my back. I’d like better mpg but at 32 on average I guess I shouldn’t complain. Love my Subie!

Our experience buying a new Subaru Outback at Subaru of Puyallup was EXCELLENT! I have no complaints whatsoever! Our original phone call regarding internet pricing was handled by Le'Shung Cage with efficiency, transparency, and a helpful attitude that felt very welcoming. The price quoted over the phone was thousands of dollars lower than anything I'd seen after weeks of shopping for a new Subaru!! A big surprise that motivated us to go to Puyallup that afternoon! Upon arrival, we were immediately introduced to Ms. Cage and then to the sales representative, Ryan Gifford, with whom we'd be doing our test drives and, as it turned out, helping us throughout the purchase process. With Ryan, the process of test drives, learning about the cars we drove and their features and subtleties, and finally the purchasing process was definitely stress-free, super helpful and informative, definitely no-pressure or gimmicks, (dare I say it:) fun!, and most-decidedly stress-free!! In all my 50 years of purchasing automobiles, this was that absolute best buying experience of them all!! (without doubt!). After easy and thorough discussions with Ryan, we went for the car security system but decided to shop-around an extended warranty - all without pressure or hard-sell. Ryan gave us the information and then stepped away and let us make our very own decision. Easy! We were lucky to not require financing so that part of the equation was also very easy - even still, the finance representative, Wade Finley, was very helpful and easy to work with regarding the acceptance of our check and the ease with which we moved through that process. Before leaving the dealership, we spent more time with Ryan Gifford during which he carefully covered more details about the operation of the car and its features. We felt this time was very well spent because Ryan's excellent discussions and tutorials really gave us an excellent start to knowing this vehicle and getting the most from its advanced driver assistance systems. My wife started with Ryan but he transferred us to Dima as he was unavailable taking care of kids. I respect someone who puts family ahead of work. Dima was a VERY well informed spokesperson. His explanation and demonstration during test drive was the key factor in our decision to purchase a Forrester Touring. Alan was a very respectful, not pushy salesman and Pablo did great job with paperwork. We are pleased. We've never owned a Subaru but if the car works as well as dealership, we'll be happy.
2025 Subaru Legacy review
Bought the Legacy Touring XT model. Previously owned Lexus and Infinitis, and this is a good or better than those cars. Smooth handling and responsive engine/ride. Dashboard is easier to use than expected. Nice connection to Airplay. Speakers are great. Safety systems are very good. Leather is luxurious. I would never have selected this car if I didn't already own a Forrester, which is also well built. I feel like I bought a luxury car for a 15K discount if not more

2016 Subaru Legacy review
My third Subaru and like the others is attractive, roomy, of ample size to fit 4 or 5. I've hauled 8ft pipes inside with the doors/trunk closed (only an Outback would hold more). The (now sadly discontinued) 6-cyl engine sounds better than the four, and fuel economy (regular gas) is in the low 20s on average. It has all the 'nannies' which make driving safer for me. I just love looking at my car which is important for me.

2017 Subaru Legacy review
A little on the cheap side as far as luxury’s and creature comforts. Seating and steering wheel placement for me being 6’1” is uncomfortable and tiring for any length of time driving. Also radio/GPS controls on dash are far away from driver. Wish I knew this prior to purchase. As an ex Subaru technician I took a chance On comfort and it did not worK out. All and all A decent car at a decent price.

This 5 stars in for one employee in particular. Tim Gardner in the service dept. My little story... I had recently purchased my vehicle on April 1 & had to return it on April 4th due to the speakers, window and a little idle. It was now 4/16/2018 and my car was still not finished because the speakers were missing a part that need to come from Korea, they told me my car would be finished no later than Monday and that was a promise...So long story short everyone I spoke with said they would call me back and help me figure this out and no one did, they called with the same info about waiting for a part but no new news. Thankfully I called in 4/17/18 to check on my vehicle on when the part will be in and Tim (which was my first time speaking with i'm through these couple of weeks.) and he said the part was scheduled to arrive on 4/24/18 I was furious. Here I am driving loaner cars and not even able to enjoy my new car for a whole month. He listened to me and quickly went into action and said I am going to help you, we are going to fix this. Literally in 2 hours he called back said that they can get my car to a certain place and they can do it if I agree and also offered me a couple of other things and said I will get your car to you by today or tomorrow after he explained this to a manager. All in two hours! and I couldn't get a straight answer for two weeks! Tim called me when it left car max and when it came back and tested the stereo for me himself! He completely turned my whole experience back to a positive one again and now I am truly happy he went above and beyond and keep his word! He was very kind and put actions to his words! He is definitely the highlight of my week! now I can drive my new car thanks to TIM Gardner.! Thank you TIM! You don't know how happy we are!
2022 Subaru Legacy review
from the first day I had it I haven’t had any issues with it as it handles great and gas economy is awesome. I don’t have a negative to write. I drove Lincoln’s for the last 20 or more years and because they stopped making cars and only Crossovers or SVU’s, I searched high and low to find an equivalent car and googled all the options that were a must and the Subaru Legacy Elite came up and my husband and I went to look and drove out with our new car and couldn’t be happier. The ride is comfortable and the car is just great.

2025 Subaru Legacy review
Replaced my 10 yr old Legacy as 2025 is the last model year. I loved my 2015 Legacy. Very reliable and no issues at all at 122k. Hoping for the same. The 2025 has some nice improvements. So far, so good!
