The Camry remains a solid, sensible choice for a mainstream mid-size sedan, and it’s at least a bit more dynamic to look at and drive than it once was. Fuel economy with the base four-cylinder and hybrid powertrains is excellent, but the straight-line speed of the V-6 makes it a tempting option. Available AWD is a bonus you won’t find on the rival Honda Accord, but a key caveat is that the Camry’s competition — including the Accord — are newer and feel more modern. Toyota’s rock-solid family car is starting to show its age; its last major redesign was back in 2018.
