2025 BMW X5 review
Biggest negative on the X5 is the run flat tires. I think they reduce the quality of the ride and at 5,000 miles had to replace two flat tires ---- non-repairable damage.

Overall, very professional, progressed as a sale should, and they followed through on the details. Car arrived very clean, everything was included as expected. Transport service ran into some issues but they kept me in the loop and went out of their way to get the vehicle to us as quickly as they could (arrived at midnight and the driver still had 1 more stop to make, he was a nice as could be, and had no complaints - that is dedication). We are 180 miles away and Lexus of Naperville will be our new "go to" for Lexus vehicles. Closer dealers are not as transparent, and seem to be in the habit of wasting your time. It is hard to find a dealer that simply wants to sell a vehicle without playing any games. Lexus of Naperville is where you should go - ask for "Brendon" and "AP", they did a nice job. I didn't get a chance to work with her much, but Yvette was also very nice. Zach Paino from "Ship your car safely" was my contact for the transport.
2019 BMW X5 review
We take trips to Cashiers/Highlands NC frequently. The drive is just over 5 hrs an it flies by quickly as the car is so comfortable. The peppy V8 has lots of power to pass quickly on the highway when necessary. Once we get into the mountains it feels great to switch from Eco mode to sports mode to attack those tight turns :)

2023 BMW X5 review
Very comfortable, with massaging seats plus heated and cooled seats. I’m not sure that it’s a great value because it is expensive. The adaptive cruise control and the lane keeping work very well and almost make it self-driving.

2020 BMW X5 review
1. BMW has relinquished transmission service, WHY? They DO NOT make their transmissions and the builder, another German company does and has a full service recommend sheet, with miles and correct fluids, et al. Now that's a load of crap. All transmission need servicing like any part with fluid traveling through it! So when your Trany goes out, you are looking a $4000+ easy, Thanks BMW for that PLANNED OBSELENCE! 2. No dip stick and access to change your oil or the very small oil gasket, NOT THE OIL FILTER, will cost you over $1000 in labor, TO ACCESS and a $14.08 part! 3. Ridiculous depreciation the minute you drive off the lot. I can buy a 2022 X7, retailing north of $95,000 for around. $50,000 and CPO/Certified with around 35-45,000 miles. 4. Very fun to drive, quality feel, twin turbo power I like, the profile is amazing on my 2017 X5. Don't like the body style changes. 5. You pay $65,000 or more and have to pay extra, with one package to get the Harmon Kardon stereo. xxxx, for that much in the price tag I should get the Bowers and Wilkins. 6. 9.5 and 10.5 wheels and tires make it look "mean". But no rotation and you will wear out the front tires in about 25,000 miles. Run flats are harsh and do not last. 2021 BMW X5 review
I frequently change cars because I love to learn and experience new vehicles. I bought a new 2020 RR Defender and traded it after 5 months for the X5. I wasn't really looking for a new car but fell in love with the X5 while accompanying a friend on a test drive. I really like that it handles like an ultimate driving machine. And the drive characteristics are extremely customizable. It's quiet, quick and comfortable. No squeaks or rattles - the RR had a few. It's a solid German example of automotive excellence.

2022 BMW X5 review
Our 2022 X5 was a beautiful car to us. Unfortunately it didn't work for us as my wife is handicapped and found it difficult to get in and out of - it's higher than one would expect and came to realize the seats are more inboard than other cars that are direct competitors. The 3 inch door sill was almost like a running board and contributed to her struggles. Even though we had the multi-contour seats, we found the lower cushion seat side bolsters too firm for any drive more than an hour. The seat back was fine. While driving around town and 2 lanes was great, it didn't track as well on the highway as one would expect, even after an alignment (it was off at delivery). Our old Volvos were much better in that regard. The positives include the exterior and interior design/layout, the quality, ride, handling and power. It also still has a few buttons, albeit a bit small when driving. The headlights were awesome and the gas mileage was better than expected, 21 around town and 28+ on the highway. Our situation is unique, and after 7 months we sold the car to a tall, able bodied couple.

DeFouw replaced the bleeder valve at no cost, since it was a recall, but did not go further to check the brake system. When I brought it back in to say it was not fixed they told me that the booster pump was bad but that it had to be ordered from Tennessee, which would take a week. This delay, which could have been fixed by ordering it the first time I came in, is now costing me an additional $600 to rent a car for our vacation, in addition to the $750 it is costing me to replace the booster pump. I am not happy that this has happened. The reason I brought it in the first time was so that it would be ready for vacation. Maybe there was no way to avoid this problem, but it sure looks like it could have been avoided.
