My wife and I recently needed to purchase a new minivan for our family. Honestly, we weren???t looking forward to it - we were overwhelmed and a bit stressed... and the timing for our family budget was rough. We had heard great things about the New Haven O???Daniel Ford, so we decided to at least try to talk to someone. My sister recommended Mike Pocci, and she was 100% accurate. Mike was genuine, kind, and very knowledgeable. He did not try to get us in a more expensive car. He stayed in our budget. He kept in contact with us through text and calls the next free days before we officially signed. We also worked with Ryan Keebler and Mike Everton, and we couldn???t have been more impressed. Everyone was upfront and honest. They all communicated with us throughout the process. This team made this potentially stressful situation easy and even enjoyable! We will 100% return to Mike, Ryan, & Mike when we need a vehicle again, and we will refer them to ANYONE! Thanks, O???Daniel Ford! PS. And they have a GREAT selection ??? we LOVE our new minivan!!!
I bought a used 2010 Dodge Challenger SRT8 from them. I flew down from Milwaukee, WI and they picked me up from the airport. When I arrived I looked over the car and it was better than the pictures. Well detailed. I then drove the car back to Milwaukee 4.5 hrs and it ran and shifted very smooth, even through Chicago rush hr downtown. Only problem I had was a burned out blinker bulb. Jeff was a nice guy and answered all my questions that day and the week before, sending me info and pictures. Very good experience. Shane
We have all heard, and told, the car dealer jokes. What an amazing experience. Started off with a fair price compared to other similar cars. I called and talked to a salesman and received detailed information. I did some “review” checking but got the name wrong. The wrong name produced terrible reviews, so I decided to call and get back and get “the other side” of the story. I talked to the owner and quickly discovered that i had reviews on the wrong dealer. I bought the car. Pain and hassle free. I live 200 miles away. They provided very detailed and accurate condition of the car. They even went the extra mile and delivered the car for a reasonable charge. I will buy another car from Eli and his team. His mom delivery ed the car with a big smile.
I made an appointment, confirmed the appointment when I arrived on time it was the guys day off. So they passed me to someone I had not been discussing my wants with. I explained I had $32,000 to work with. They could have said "we cant help you" And it would have been no hard feelings and I would have been on my way. instead the kept me for 30mins. then came back with 34,500 and said they were loosing money on that. So I got up and left. First off they arent going to sell you a truck at a loss. Otherwise they wouldnt have a job. Secondly there is the sticker price, then the invoice price then the dealer cost. When they say they are selling you something at invoice they are still making $2-3,000 profit due to the dealer holdback and dealer incentive monies. I dont do games, I know what I want I know what I have to spend and I tell them so. either they can deal with that or they cant. I didnt appreciate their games.
I bought a 2016 Ford F-150 from Jim Schmitz back in early July. I recently had the brakes replaced with new rotors and had to work done by my mechanic in the town that I live in. I contacted Jim Schmidt about this problem and they have taken care of over half of the bill or paying for the parts and they realized it was a mistake on their part work should have been done originally and they made it right with me I am writing this review into cancel out the other two because they came forward and made it right with the customer( myself).
Everything went well with the purchase of my 2017 Expedition EL. We took delivery the day after our visit because they were to have fixed the back-up camera. The back-up camera was faulty with the image being distorted and was identified during test drive with agreement to have it fixed. Upon delivery, on the same day, the camera again failed and has continued to not be functional (this is day 2). I'm not to worried because they said they would make sure it was fixed so I will write a follow up to this to let you know how it turns out.
That said I feel based on my initial experience they will be true to their word. Look for a review once it does or doesn't get repaired. I do want to say I dealt with AJ (sales) and he was great to work with, always following up and keeping me up to date over a lengthy period. At this time I would recommend him as a great representative of the dealership being knowledgeable and easy to work with.
I would recommend anyone looking for a vehicle to see Jim Schmidt Ford. These are good people, they are honest and there is no pressure. They are not the type of sales people or dealership you may be used to. Honesty and decency are on the top of the list for their employees and this dealership. If you are in the market I urge you to make a visit.
I bought a 2016 F-150 from Jim Schmidt Ford this week. I had looked at a lot of trucks online, visited several dealers and attempted to buy at one other dealer. Terry and the whole team at Jim Schmidt Ford made the process hassle free and easy going. There wasn’t a high pressure “typical” process that I’ve experienced at other dealerships. I will definitely be back and would highly recommend Terry to others.
Excellent dealership with great customer service, low prices, and a really large inventory with the best selection of used vehicles we've seen. Really appreciated our sales rep AJ! He absolutely earned our business, sending pictures prior to our arrival, very knowledgeable about the vehicle, and easy to work with. Most of all, we appreciated AJ staying late for us to complete the sale! Their family-friendly kids play area was also very much appreciated! He even texted us to make sure we made it home okay after a pretty long trip back home. Would definitely recommend Jim Schmidt Ford to anyone.
Rick was a perfect salesman. Not too pushy, very informative and friendly. I would definitely refer him. The last time we bought a car from another dealership it took forever. This purchase was very fast!
Jacob Ferguson was very helpful answering all our questions about the technology features and helped us through them. Polite and friendly staff including sales manager Jeff Franke ,financial personnel Omar Jimenez, general manager Kasey Shirey and our salesman Jacob.
My experience at Statewide Ford in Van Wert, Ohio was excellent. Randy Custer, the salesperson, helped me find exactly the Escape that I wanted. He was knowledgable and thorough. All of the staff was friendly and accommodating. I LOVE my new Ford Escape!
