All work required to make my vehicle repairs and checks complete and correct we’re performed to my total satisfaction while I waited in the comfortable customer waiting area as work was supervised under the outstanding guidance of Service Advisor Oscar Galatia. As a regular customer at the service department I always ask for the consistently courteous and flawless management of my vehicle requests by Oscar Galatia. Under Oscar’s guidance from his earliest work with Autobarn Mazda of Evanston to date, I never have had to return to him with a complaint that the work had been done poorly, with mistakes made, or required work not having been done at all. Yes, good work by mechanics have made that possible, but only under the tight, intelligent, direction and inspection of Galatia. He also has a pleasing and satisfying way of dealing with all of his customers whom I have observed close up when I have regularly waited with other customers to have their vehicles worked on and returned. Because of Oscar and the work results he has managed and produced, I have frequently recommended Autobarn and it’s excellent service work and Service Advisor management to others who need a place recommended for consistently good prices, management, and charges. I suggest that management do whatever it can to retain the services of its multi-talented and perceptive Service Advisor Oscar Galatia. He is well trained, experienced, intelligent, and dedicated as I have seen first hand when he has worked with me. Seriously - the most RECENT review (writing here in 2026) here is from twelve years ago (2014)? Let's catch you all up. Our salesman, AUSTIN BEAVER, was phenomenal and made every effort to secure the best "deal" for our now "new to us" pre-owned Mazda CX5. While it is truly a "seller's market" at this time for this particular vehicle (high demand!), Austin did all he could to get us rolling -fairly- in this fantastic car. They even took our "crippled" trade-in at a very reasonable value! Another feather in the cap for a highly rated brand! Want a Mazda? Jeff Schmitt is THE place to start. Then, shop around if you'd like. You'll be back. WE did!
