2018 Mazda CX-5 review
I love my 2018 Mazda CX-5 to absolutely no end! I have a blast driving it, and it is my first car. I have the Touring FWD model, but it does NOT skimp out on features, it has blind spot monitoring, lane keep assist, back-up camera, Automatic Emergency Braking, airbags EVERYWHERE, and whole plethora of other safety features. It is very quick, reliable, and fun to drive. My only complaint is there is not much in the way of cabin storage. But it is not a deal breaker, since the trunk of the car has a large cargo area, and lots of room in the spare tire area. It has an amazing Bose speaker system and I was given this car for my birth day at about 30k miles, but it was purchased new. I have FWD (Front wheel drive) but it still does amazing in conditions like rain, and minor snow. It is also the only car from this segment that placed a good rating on the IIHS Crash Test. It is often on par with luxury brands like BMW and Mercedes but having the advantage of being half the cost and Japanese so it lasts forever and also since it's not German, the repairs won't cost a house mortgage. However, if you get a 2018, make sure you get an updated Navigation SD Card. I cannot recommend this car enough, it is perfect in nearly everyway. I am now a loyal Mazda customer, and will always have a Mazda in my garage, I trust them more than any other automaker. Perks: Large backseat (I am 6'1 and can for the most part fit comfortably in the back) Fun to drive Fuel efficient Safety Feature galore Reliable and cheap to maintain Excellent use of space Cons: If I had to choose, not as much cabin storage as I want, but I want more than the average person.

2023 Subaru Forester review
Overall, at 60k miles, I’ve had no problems and am very happy. I average around 34 mpg’s with mixed driving. I’m happy with the acceleration as well, even though Subaru’s without a turbo are sometimes labeled as slow. I have no problem merging onto highways. The Forester is an easy to live with SUV/car. The rear room is adequate, although the CRV offers about 10 cubic feet more rear capacity. Visibility is excellent. The CVT is smooth and has simulated shifts, just make sure you change the fluid every 30k! I own the Limited with leather seats that are very comfortable. Sometimes the response time on the radio/touch screen can feel a little delayed. I also opted for the dimming driver/rear view mirrors which is great during winter commuting. It saves your eyes from glare. Very view cars offer this which is why I went with the Subaru. My only “major” complaint with the car is a slight rattle coming from the dash board area. It isn’t always there, but is present enough to bother me. Aside from that it is an excellent vehicle and value for the money!

2024 Lexus NX 250 review
There’s a few things about this car that I don’t like first I wish I would’ve had the option for a six-cylinder. The car is a little too noisy. I wish they would do away with that car stop at a light or stop saying. Third, I wish they would seal the door a little better at the bottom. All sorts of debris gets in on all doors. Other than that the car is OK. and I’m still waiting for my extra key fob.

2021 Ford Bronco Sport review
Generally the styling is nice, you really can see where the older Escape was used as the basis for this vehicle. The interior is nice and comfortable. Ford missed the mark on storage. The dead space behind the screen, as one example. You can buy a bin that will fit very nicely in that spot. Mileage has been good. Road noise can be a little much as times, and the ride can get a little jittery at speed. There is an odd shudder between 35 and 40mph, that the service tech said is from "cylinder deactivation". Ford and other manufacturers have had this technology for a long time. Seems hard to believe that Ford would screw it up. Was told that it happens in Eco or Normal mode. In Sport mode it's less noticeable, and doesn't really effect the mileage that much. Tried it, didn't see much of a difference. Other issue is legroom in the back seat. I'm 6'4" (and it's surprisingly easy for me to get in and out), but I need to have the seat back a bit. Leaves very little room for a back seat passenger. Overall, pretty good vehicle. Hopefully in the next gen, they'll correct some of these issues.

2024 Cadillac XT4 review
Having owned 1 srx and 2 xt5. Now an xt4, I think it is the most appealing. My loaded sport has all the luxury and safety features. I drive it in sport for kicks, and 2wd for economy. If you don't need cargo space but like the xt5, go for it! Enjoy!

2025 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid review
Great in mileage. Looks great. Performance is amazing. I don't like the fact that you can't use GPS, remote start, location finding, etc without subscribing monthly. Also dont like Toyota's spying, as they actually say they will supply all of your driving info like speeds, stopping, behaviors, locations travelled to, driving habits, etc. to all law enforcement and all insurance companies that request the data. That is just plain "1984" control and interference with privacy. They might as well be the CCP or other dictatorship.

2023 Ford Bronco Sport review
Bought new. 50k on the odometer. Nothing of any concern has happened and Ford has a generous 10k miles between maintenance intervals. Stock tires on the Badlands did not last anywhere near their projected life. With the new tires I’m getting around 28mpg now. The badlands GOAT modes have gotten me through a lot of OHV trails and forest roads. The suspension articulates well. Anything I’ve dared to ask it do it has done.

2024 Mazda CX-5 review
This is my first CX-5. I love it. Previously I drove a mazda tribute which was a 6 cylinder. I was reluctant to purchase a smaller vehicle with a smaller engine, but I’ve been pleased. My only negative comment is regarding the leg room in the back seat. It’s not great but workable for most average size adults.

2025 Honda CR-V Hybrid review
I’ve had many Subarus in the past, but wanted a hybrid vehicle. So glad I did with these gas prices! I’m getting 41mpg right now. My favorite things are the trunk kick open feature, my hands are always full. I love the heated steering wheel too. I have the flat matte gray color, I receive lots of compliments and color hides dirt well. Handles well on road, drives nicely. Only thing I would change is size of cup holders, they are small.

2021 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid review
Purchased used in July 2025. Great gas mileage. Smooth, quiet ride. I enjoy many of the features of this loaded model. But there are a few things that are slightly annoying. As the car slows down, it sounds like an emergency vehicle. I found myself looking around for a squad or an ambulance until I realized it was the engine whining. Second, the radio cuts in and out. Never had this problem on other vehicles. I live in a metropolitan area and have strong station signals. So this has me baffled. Fortunately I can sync my phone playlist and enjoy my favorite tunes. The weather is always lagging and sometimes reads cloudy when it’s pouring down rain. Lastly, I have not figured out how to cancel a destination on the map navigator. It also cannot find my address and has me going to a completely different town if I need to get home from an unfamiliar area. Maybe it needs an upgrade but was hoping that was automatic and cloud based.

2024 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid review
2024 RAV4 Hybrid XSE model is a great choice - interior road noise & front seats that do not glide back enough are my ‘wish I would have paid attention to’ regrets. If passengers are over 6’2” with long legs, they do not fit in the front seat comfortably & many times I feel like an Uber driver with them choosing the back seat when going distances. Hybrids make a lot of noise when backing up which can turn heads - this is normal so don’t be alarmed. Gas mileage is terrific & its sporty exterior is over the top. I do love it & recommend it if not concerned about the cons I have mentioned.

2020 Ford Escape review
I bought a used 2020 Ford escape hybrid titanium with 33,000 miles. I came from a 2015 X3 and I am surprised how well this car handles and feels firmly planted. I love the electric driving at slow speeds and you can hear the gas engine come on and it’s louder than my BMW, but I am still pleasantly surprised by the low level of road noise at highway speeds. Mine is Persian green, which is rare, and absolutely beautiful after I waxed it. The exterior is pretty good, considering its price range, and the interior is subpar with the hard plastic on the doors, but overall, the controls are very intuitive, easily reachable, and after I learned how to use all the options, my favorite feature is the adaptive cruise control with stop and go and lane centering. The car basically just drives itself, even in the city at low speeds. I just have to make the turns and stop at red lights and stop signs if there is no car in front of me. I also love the short stopping distances with the brakes, which feel great and confidence-inspiring, and the steering actually feels better than in my BMW, which was too light at highway speeds. Another feature that sold me was how much legroom there is in the backseat, especially the fact that you can recline the backseat a little bit and also push it a few inches back to create more legroom. There is definitely more legroom in the front and back than in my BMW, even though my BMW was a few inches longer than this car. I love the look of the RAV4 hybrid XLE and it has more cargo room, but if you check the user reviews, you’ll see that the Escape hybrid actually beats it in mpg and in my area, I would’ve paid $8k - $9k more for a similar used RAV4 so I felt like the Escape hybrid was a better value overall. I rarely buy extended warranties with cars, but I did with this one since it was such a good deal at only $4000 but it gave me seven years of extended coverage and up to 80,000 more miles, whichever comes first. Considering how tariffs will affect car part pricing and car repair bills, I thought this was a an exceptional value, just like the car itself. I’ve only had it for three weeks, but I am really enjoying driving the car and seeing how little gas it sips.

2020 Cadillac XT4 review
We discussed with friends a solid American vehicle to serve as a daily driver and saw good bones with the distinctive exterior/interior design and technologically advanced XT4 Sport (20” wheels). The 2.0-liter turbocharged engine handles everyday driving and quick passing maneuvers without issue. The 9-speed automatic transmission is generally smooth but does seek the perfect gear, particularly in low-speed traffic. For many, the OEM setup may be just fine, however, we opted to “refine” a few of the Luxury & Sport options that the original owner passed on (we're the 2nd owners) and now enjoy climbing into the cockpit of this daily transporter! My boyfriend bought me a car for my birthday. Well first we had gone to huffines Chevy in Plano where we had purchased a used trailblazer. When test driving we didn?t hear any issues with the car. Not even 30 minutes after having the car I noticed a rattling noise. The very next business day I messaged our salesman and he had us take the car to the service department where they had it for 3 days and then said the turbo was out in it. Not sure how it was missed on the Chevy inspection, they put us in a loaner and then 5 days later said the part was on back order but should only be another week. Got a phone call a week later saying it was going to be 4-6 weeks before they might have the part in. They had a 3 business day/200 mile cool off period. We wanted out but they were then going to put us in a newer used car with less miles the day we were going o look at it the called and told us legally they could not sell it, the owners they got it from on trade in had totaled the vehicle but had paid cash for repairs at that point I was so mad and we were done and walked away. I had forgotten that a family friend rusty McDonald worked at elderado so I called him up and told him our situation. We went into the dealership on a friday evening. Rusty then had Landon help us out. Their goal was if we could get into a new vehicle that?s what they were going to do. My boyfriend had said well if it works out I might trade my truck in as well, Landon was made aware that we were looking for me a car so Landon said yall primarily came for her so let?s get her deal done and then we can look at yours (my boyfriend). We told Landon what we wanted our payments to be. We never felt pressured into anything. Everyone was so nice at the dealership and we did get a brand new 2026 Chevy trax. I tell everyone if they are looking for a new vehicle to go to elderado Chevy and they will be well taken care of. I will not go anywhere else. Thank you for turning a really bad car experience into a pleasant one and made us very satisfied customers.
2024 Chevrolet Equinox review
I've had my fwd lt for a few months now. Great car. At first I thought it was a bit underpowered, but it more than makes up for it in fuel economy. Clean interior, not too many buttons and the standard screen is small but really intuitive to use. Overall an excellent vehicle that fully meets my needs

2021 Nissan Rogue review
I was shopping for a used vehicle to replace a Lexus ES 350 that was 11 years old. I was prepared to keep that car forever, but it was totaled in an accident. I went to CARMAX looking for another luxury vehicle, and then I saw this Rogue Platinum. It looked like new, but it was 5 years old with under 40,000 miles on it. It was Pearl White with an Absolute Black top. The exterior had only a small blemish on a rear door, otherwise it was perfect. What sold me on the car was the interior. It was a Saddle-and-Black combination with top-quality leather not found in this class of compact SUVs. Being a Platinum trim level, it had every option one could imagine - more than my old Lexus had. The interior also looked brand new. The car is comfortable, quiet, and brilliantly appointed. I've seen both great and terrible reviews on the Rogue, so I did purchase the CAREMAX extended warranty. I have had the car for only a month. Will it continue to delight me or disappoint me in the months ahead? Time will tell, but I love it now.

The comfort and modern amenities are top of the line. The 8” infotainment head unit and Alpine sound system is out of this world. The interior fits my family of four and has enough cargo space for a stroller, scooter, Onewheel XR and beach chairs. The exterior needs no introduction with its iconic round headlights and seven slot grill. Followed by a three piece removable top, which I managed to take off and put back on by myself. FYI, don’t try doing this by yourself. My final favorite thing about my Jeep JL is the ability to customize the Jeep with all of the amazing aftermarket parts and pieces. This allows you to take the best looking car on the road and make it your own.

2024 GMC Terrain review
I always bought the GMC Acadia (4 times) but decided to try the terrain. I absolutely love it and it's a great car for zipping around in town. I would take it for a weekend trip but not on a long trip as it doesn't have a lot of cab room, but for two people it is fine
