I traded in my 2016 RAV4 Limited for the Highlander XLE. Primarily for the ride. We had to give up some features such as seat positioning and closeness sensors available on the Rav4. The 2019 Highlander has a V6 that is well reported on and gives us the performance we need. Our ride has definitely improved on the Highlander.

I've always loved the look and feel of a Toyota Highlander. But I never thought I could afford one. I found my Highlander at Alton Toyota, Alton, Il. and fell in love. I asked about the price and I couldn't believe it was right in my price range. I test drove it and it was love at first drive. Everyone from the Sales-person, finance and even the Technicians. were friendly, helpful and answered all my questions. They even went above and beyond making sure I got the best loan that fit me. I love my highlander and just got back from Myrtle Beach SC, driving round trip. It is so fun to drive and all the room is unbelievable. I’ve been to Hendrick BMW for service multiple times, and the consistency in how they treat their customers is why I keep coming back. Ben Trask has been especially great to work with. During my most recent visit, I was facing a significant repair that unfortunately wasn’t covered by my warranty. Even so, he went out of his way to contact the warranty company, advocate for me, and help minimize the cost as much as possible. They also provided me with a loaner vehicle for the entire time my car was in service, which made a huge difference in keeping my schedule uninterrupted. This wasn’t my first positive experience either — during a prior recall, when my vehicle had to stay at the dealership for an extended period, the team made sure I had transportation and kept me informed throughout. Overall, the level of service, communication, and attention to detail here really sets them apart. It’s exactly the kind of experience you want when maintaining your vehicle.

We have the 2022 Limited edition. Love the heated and cooled leather seats, very comfortable. Overall vehicle is very quiet, except on concrete roadway surfaces. The rain sensing wipers don't function as well as the ones we had on our 2019 Rav4. I will say, the 3rd row seats are for young kids or very small flexible adults. Also, front doors need more of an arm rest higher up on the doors. The tri zone heat and cooling is great. I like how the adaptive cruise will even slow you down some when entering curves. The 11 speaker JBL sound system is very good. Overall, the negatives listed are fairly minor issues, because we really enjoy this vehicle and the features. I am disappointed that Toyota will not be offering the v-6 in 2023. I much prefer the smoothness and power and torque curve of the 6 versus the turbo 4. The 8 speed transmission is butter smooth, although the kickdown response could be improved. This is our 4th Toyota and will keep coming back because of the higher quality standards and overall reliability. Also, Toyota seems to listen to customers better and making adjustments or corrections better than a lot of the other auto makers.

Zero problems in 8 years ownership. Very comfortable. Still looks brand new. My next car will definitely be another Highlander, perhaps a 2025 Highlander Hybrid.

Have had our 2023 Highlander XLE AWD since April 2023. Live in Chicago area and have driven to Arizona and Maine. Zero problems with the car. We put a large Thule box on the roof, multiple mountain bikes on a bike carrier and a kayak. Lots of luggage, got 27 miles per gallon on both trips. Plenty of power in the Rocky Mountains. Would recommend the car to others. We have a great Toyota dealership but all we have needed is schedule maintenance.

We were interested in a vehicle at CarMax about 275 miles from where we live. We paid to have the car delivered to the location near us. There was nothing specific that the CarMax dealer did other than be sure the car was moved as quickly as possible. We did not visit the location where the car was being offered and the car was not delivered to our home.

I’ve had no problems with my Highlander since I had it. I just keep up the maintenance and it drives as smooth as it did when I first got it. The other thing I like about it is the roomy comfort it gives and that it’s heavy enough to handle the road. It huges the road in curves so good. I am truly satisfied with my Highlander.

I bought a brand new Toyota Highlander platinum hybrid, 2022. I’ve owned Mercedes and a whole bunch of other cars but the noise from this literally hurts my ears. Really sucks because I wanted to keep this car forever but now I wanna get rid of it because the low bassy vibration is absolutely terrible. I have seen some people talking about a foot to radiator seal, hoping that might help. I want to fix this but its some serious xxxxxxxx. I like bass but this suckd toyota… 😢

My 2021 highlander L I paid $27k @ 44k miles ih for it after 2 years taking it through ell & adding 50k miles (92k miles currently) im impressed by its 300 hp 3.4L engine but learned how important changing all fluild begor it starts to making noise and problems. I think as long as you change all fluids at by or before 90 k miles as milage it will continue to goFor 300,000 miles crossed finger . The dealer offered me 19k to trade in at this stage. Toyota value unmatched. I want the new twin turbo 3.5 they just added

It has a lot of road noise and the low profile tires makes feel like you're running on flats you feel everything I'm not happy at all it's nothing like my 2015 highlander no compassion at all!

The transmission failed at 112,000 miles and it costs me $8500 to repair. I expect Toyota Highlander transmission would last at least 200,000 miles but I found out that the transmission is not made in Japan like my old Highlander, but it was made in the USA. People who buy Toyota expect major components such as engine, transmission, are made in Japan with zero defects, but when major components are made in the USA, quality suffers.

I live in another state and had a friend go check the car (Volvo V60)out even though it had a Carfax report. It was in great condition like Chris had told me and the pictures showed. Test drove it when I got there before signing the paperwork and was very impressed. Chris took care of all the details, so the buying/signing process was very easy. Emily and the rest of the crew were all very friendly as well. He has nothing but top quality vehicles on his lot. This is definitely not a high pressure car lot like most of them. I would definitely recommend Carvita if you’re looking for an extra clean, dependable vehicle at a great price. I couldn’t be happier with my purchase.

Me and my family really like our Highlander XLE. Its super reliable (like always) and its a great family car. The Highlander gets decent fuel economy, its quiet inside, its quick, good interior quality, and comfortable ride. The Highlander is also very spacious and the opening rear window is super useful to get into the trunk quickly. The shelf on the dashboard was very useful for storing. We also really like how the facelift looks. The exterior looks very handsome and in my opinion, the Highlander looks better than the Honda Pilot. The things that we don't like about our Highlander is the technology. The navigation system is very laggy and hard to use. The Highlander also doesn't come with apple car play or android auto. The charger outlets for the second row are also hard to reach since it is near the floor. The outlets are hard to find especially when it is dark. We also found out the third row to be very uncomfortable. The third row is very cramped and it has no leather armrest. But overall, the Highlander is still a very good family car and it has been our favourite car.
