2006 Toyota Prius Review
Super reliable and efficient
by Percey2010 from Dallas TX
January 27, 2019

My wife bought this brand new and it's now 12 years old with 128,000 miles on it. It's been a maintenance dream, needing nothing more than oil changes, tires, and a couple warranty items (the hybrid battery went bad at 85,000 miles and was replaced under warranty). With the fold down seats and the hatch back, it can carry a ton. We use it as we would a pickup truck. It's incredibly useful. The downsides are mediocre quality of interior pieces (the dash panels don't line up very well), the ride quality is a little harsh, and it takes some work to stay on top of the rattles that develop. Overall, it's a wonderful value because it's so reliable and efficient. Anyone that asks for an affordable, reliable car, would be wise to consider one of these.

A great gas saver and commuter car.
by Jill Arlene from Riverside, KS

The car was great on gas. It was comfortable to drive and fit well in parking spaces. Overall, this type of car is generally a good buy. A great commuter car. Toyota's tend to last longer and be less expensive to fix too. When buying this year, you may want to check to see how old the battery is. They can be expensive to fix, but there are shops that fix the battery for a lot less than buying a new one.

I brought a BMW x3 from Five Star and I love it! I went into this location nervous and discouraged because of my past experiences from trying to purchase a car. Mark and his staff made the process easy and comfortable. I knew exactly what I needed to do and had multiple options to choose from. I would recommend anyone looking for a great vehicle with low mileage and well kept to go here. Thank you Mark and Staff for everything, you guys rock!!!

Amazing Car
by Little Consumer Lady from Huntsville , Al

I have owned a Prius for five years . It gets amazing gas mileage and gets me from Alabama to Texas on one tank of gas . Phenomenal! I just paid the car off and it has 70 K miles. I am now selling it and just purchased a new Buick Encore after a lot of research ( weeks ) . The only negative about the hybrid cars is that replacing the battery is extremely expensive, and shelling out $3 K on an older car is not an easy choice . Frankly , I hate being gouged , and being a victim. I feel Toyota could recondition the batteries for $ 1, 000 and keep many customers . If the battery replacements were reasonable , then EVERYONE would drive a hybrid ! I decided not to buy another hybrid because the hybrids cost MORE to purchase and then the owner is saddled with a huge battery cost that seems to make a person question the economy of the decision in the long term . Three thousand dollars is way too much for a battery . But the Prius is a reliable and brilliant vehicle , and is fairly comfortable and easy to handle .

Good afternoon. I have leased from Courtesy since 1995. I have leased 8/9 cars (lost track!). The last 5 I have had one salesman and I request him every time. His name is Hank Keller. He is not only superior at what he does but during the entire lease he is helpful should I have any problems. I have dealt with so many fantastic techs in the service department that I have lost track of them and lets not forget there is always turnover. Most recently, I give kudos to Kevin, Ghandi, Chad, Harold and many more. They know what they are doing, they are excellent at customer service and they are honest! My favorite cars are the Corolla, Cambry and the Prius. I went back to a Corolla this year. I had the Prius last year and I loved it. The only problem I had with it is that it was too low! I would hit every crub going in and out of driveways. Went back to a Corolla this lease. I have had 6 of them! I particularly loved the color....you call it Blue and I call it Gun Metal Gray. It dazzles and does have a hint of blue when you look at it in the sun. I have one problem with this Corolla......when you lock it from the inside, which I always do, the lock is "under" the door handle. Not good! Otherwise, I love Toyota, I love Courtesy and I love the employees! Thank you Courtesy for coming into my life!

We bought the 2010 Rav4 as a new vehicle. We currently have a little over 83000 miles and have no complaints with the automobile. We bought the pre-paid maintenance package and now use Courtesy Toyota for continuing maintenance. I feel more comfortable having Toyota trained personnel work on my vehicle. Our service manager, Gary Savory is wonderful. We are treated royally every time we go to Toyota. On the downside, however, they used to have muffins next to the coffee machine.

After 45 years I find an excellent Car Salesperson, Matt Duke
by teamdamschen from DealerRater.com
November 6, 2018
5 5 5 5 5 4.3 (841 reviews)
I highly recommend Matt Duke as your salesperson. Matt is the best of any auto sales person I have worked with in all my years of buying cars which is well over 45 years. Truly, I felt like I was buying a car and NOT being high pressured like many car salespeople are. The "experience was exceptional" with Matt's consultation. He gets A++, 6 stars out of 5, 12 out of 10 ... however you want to rate... for providing trust, confidence, ability to answer all my questions (I ask many questions) and assisting us in making the right decision on the right car, the Genesis G90, for my needs. Matt displayed "excellent self control with patience" and went above and beyond and delivered the Genesis G90 to my home, on Sunday, his day off, and spent well over 3 and 1/2 hours going over all the features on the car. Finance person, Robinson Aswood, was exceptional and patient in assisting me to understand our lease agreement, and answering my many questions to understand the lease terms. Thank you Robinson. I am grateful for this car buying experience and all the people who worked with me at Brandon Hyundai. Thank you, Shannon & Richard Damschen, Realtors with Keller Williams Realty

2015 Toyota Prius an eco-friendly tradition
by Annette and John MD from Mitchellville, MD

A Toyota Prius is a unique driving experience. Once you have owned one (and we have owned a 2007 and 2011 Prius), you prefer the quiet hum of the electric motor and the fantastic gas mileage. Make sure you accurately adjust your mirrors and allow for not being able to see the end of the front end, and you will avoid denting your car and hitting other cars due to Prius blind spots. Our 2015 Prius III is surprising similar to our 2007 Prius. Our 2011 Prius IV was a loaded delight (heated leather seats, sunroof, navigation, and multi-CD changer) that we were unable to find unless we moved to a Prius V (which is in a bigger class by itself and may not suit quiet hum Prius lovers).

Nice guys, low pressure, isnt 100% as described
by honesty-honestly? from Clearwater, fl

Really nice guys, no pressure at all. Let us test drive and didn't pressure us. Let down was the car wasn't as described. I appreciate honestly & transparency. During test drive A/C malfunctioned and cut off completely repeatedly. Said outside temp was 75 degrees, when it's over 95 outside. Dash was lifted and separating, electric seat controls on driver side weren't fully functional, one out of 3 worked. They were priced just over the high end of KBB's suggested dealer price and at that price, the car should be in great condition. If they had mentioned any of these things when I asked, prior to driving down and priced the car accordingly, I'd give them 5 stars for being completely honest and upfront. I also wouldn't have driven down for that car, but been willing to have them find me what I'm looking for. However, if you want a no pressure lot, they've got it and nice guys.

Love everything about this car
by Prius Lover from Fargo, ND
February 19, 2019

This is our second Prius and we absolutely love it. Gas mileage is excellent, though actually better on the city than on the highway because city driving gives the hybrid more opportunities to switch to battery power. It's very quiet, and spacious enough to hold 4 people and their luggage for a long road trip, which we have done countless times without incident. My husband and teenagers are rather tall, and they are all comfortable enough in the car, though I think they might like a little more leg room in the back seat if the person in front has the seat all the way back. The keyless entry and keyless start are very convenient, as long as you have the key fob with you, just grab the handle and the car door will unlock. If the key fob is inside the car, the car will start with the push of a button - you don't even need to get them out of your bag or your pocket. The car won't stay locked if you leave the key fob inside or leave the engine running, so it's nearly impossible to lock your keys in your car. We bought our last Prius used with about 60,000 miles on it and by 150,000 miles the only repairs we had were replacing the standard battery (not the more expensive hybrid battery), the blower motor for the cabin air, new tires, and occasionally replacing some light bulbs. The only reason we replaced it was because it was totaled in an accident. The only downside to this car in my opinion is the low clearance sometimes makes it a challenge to drive in very deep snow. However, even with the low clearance I've only gotten stuck in the snow once.

Love, love, love my Prius. My last one I had for 12 years and it ran great. Unfortunately I started having front headlight problems which caused me angst. I figured it was time to buy a new one so rather than dealing with this older technology, I bought a brand new Prius. And I have been very pleased with it. Sure, I had to get used to some of the quirks but who reads the manual start to finish anyway?

Love my certified used car...and Sun Toyota too!
by knightwriter2007 from DealerRater.com
November 5, 2018
5 5 5 5 5 4.9 (5689 reviews)
I came to Sun Toyota a week ago, on a referral. My mother gets her Scion serviced here and hasn't had a bad experience yet. I knew my 15-year-old Saturn was nearly on its last legs, so I had been looking for a while. Before my Sun visit, I started with a Hyundai dealer in my area, and had a "predator vs prey" experience. Sun Toyota is vastly different...and I bought a car based on that. My Saturn had 138k miles, so I knew I wouldn't get much for a trade, but I wanted/needed something newer and more reliable. I made an appointment and spent some time with Donald Smith. And I bought a car. Did he sell it to me? Yes. But I had fun the whole time. I went in with a wish list, but I also knew I might have to compromise a little bit. At the Hyundai dealer, the salesman brought me to the 2017s on the lot right away, even though I told him I wasn't looking for a brand-spanking-new model. In fact, he came *right* out of the showroom the minute I stepped on the lot. Not a good feeling - he seemed like a vulture. When I visited Sun, I made an appointment beforehand. (Maybe I should've done that with Hyundai too, but...live and learn!) In contrast to the Hyundai salesman, Don didn't make me feel vulnerable at all. When I explained my budget and wish list, he took me to the models in my price range. He explained that he wanted me to actually see them, to know what was available. What they had on the lot, would've been a lot like my Saturn - over 100k miles, and needing a lot of TLC. Saturn is a wonderful brand, & my prior car never did me wrong. But it wasn't very cost effective to keep, and I knew I needed something with more pep in it. Luckily, I could be flexible with my pricing, and my "short list" of models. (I'm used to driving Toyotas, since my other half has one too, but I wasn't opposed to trying other cars.) I think that helped too. I went in wanting to buy outright, and avoid payments. That didn't *exactly* happen. I came out with a small payment, but I can afford it. Most important, I have peace of mind. I appreciate that Don was willing to listen, and show me what was available. Also... *Sun Toyota never bashed other dealers - something my local Hyundai was quick to do. *Toyota now has longer warranties, on new and used cars. (20 yr/200k miles vs 10y/100k). Hyundai tried to tell me those were no longer offered. *They offer certified pre-owned models that go through a 160-pt inspection. I liked knowing their cars have already been vetted. Local Hyundai didn't offer certified anything. *Don took the time to listen to ME first, before I started test driving cars. He didn't just show me what HE wanted to move. *Don made it a fun experience! I was relaxed and enjoyed myself...and I have a new(er) car to show for it. I literally hugged him before driving off the lot. I have never done that before. *Sun didn't pester me after I left the dealership. Don has called to check on me and my car. (Local Hyundai salesman called me 3x in two days after I visited, because I didn't make an immediate decision.) At the end of the day, salesmen have to make sales, but customers have to be happy, too. Both of those things happened at Sun Toyota, so that's a win-win. And the most ironic part of the whole visit? I now have a Hyundai. (LOL!) If you visit Sun Toyota and you're in the market for a great experience, ask for Don. He won't disappoint you.

I needed a second vehicle for every day use and to also entroduce my teenagers into the driving world, every one knows that buying a vehicle can be a headache and if your not with right sales person a complete nightmare. Well this guy is Honest, very responsive & listens to details not like most sales people only looking to make a sales that would Benefits there pockets. I told Mr Tom what i was looking for, price range and monthly budget and this guy did not stop until I was happy! I would not go to another place even if they paid me. Yes I did check into other dealerships and the deals I heard seem shady But not Sun Toyota everything that was promised was delivered & if it wasn???t for Mr Tom I would still be looking and dreading walking on to a car lot... and to seal the deal it was 💨 (fast) not the 4-5 hrs it has taken me to by a car in the past so if your looking besure you have this guy Tom in your Conner.. and if he???s off ASK FOR HIS CELL PHONE NUMBER be patient cause this guy will for sure get the job done😉 im very happy!

Subaru Port Richey Review
It was unexpected😊

I came in just to"look" at what Subaru was offering. I was on my way to the Mitsubishi dealer where I THOUGHT I was buying a new vehicle😊. Tony came out and showed me models. What I loved most was his calm..very "unsalesman" personality. I didn't feel pressured. And drove out in a 2018 Forester!

Car gives a very comfortable ride. And is economical. We are getting 45 miles to the gallon. For a used vehicle it has very little flaws almost looks brand new!
