2022 GMC Acadia review
I got my Acadia AT4 used. I was attracted it for its rugged look and it is fully loaded. I was downsizing from a Traverse and this one fit the bill. I love all the safety features, the way it drives, and the power from the V6 engine. It also includes Android Auto, which I use all the time. I was able to transfer my OnStar plan to this as well and am totally happy with my purchase!

I checked online sites like Cars.com, Carfax, and CarGurus, visited around 10 dealerships (both independent lots and franchises), made tons of phone calls, and even explored Carvana and CarMax. Too many places baited me with low online prices, only to pile on thousands in hidden fees once I showed up—things like mandatory down payments, wear-and-tear charges, inspection fees, and dealership add-ons. But from this experience, I learned a lot about how dealerships really work and gained some valuable knowledge: never fully trust the prices posted online without confirming the true out-the-door cost in person. After five frustrating in-person visits, I was ready to give up on traditional dealerships and just overpay at CarMax to avoid the headaches. That’s when I spotted a listing on Cars.com from Island Subaru. The vehicle photos clearly stated “No hidden fees, no extra fees – fully transparent OTD price.” Skeptical after so many bad experiences, I decided to try one last time and walked in without an appointment or even a phone call. Right away, I met sales representative Christopher Chavous (everyone calls him Chris). He was patient, professional, and didn’t bombard me with unnecessary questions or personal info. He showed me the Crosstrek I was interested in, sat with me for two detailed test drives, and explained all the features thoroughly. The standout moment? Chris gave me the true out-the-door price immediately—no games, no surprises, exactly matching the online listing with zero hidden fees. In an industry full of tricks, this level of honesty instantly built trust, which is everything when buying a car. After some fair negotiation, the manager approved a solid discount, and we sealed the deal that same day. Since it was Saturday and close to closing (they couldn’t finish the NY inspection), they went the extra mile and loaned me a brand-new Subaru Crosstrek to drive until Monday when my car was ready. Finance manager Yuri Miyakawa handled the paperwork smoothly, got me a great rate, and made everything straightforward. But Chris truly went above and beyond—he guided me through the entire purchase process and even helped set up my first car insurance. The initial quotes were sky-high for a new driver, but Chris personally called the insurance company, advocated on my behalf, and somehow got my rate reduced to half the original quote! That kind of dedication is rare. The whole team—the manager, Yuri, Chris, and the rest of the staff—was genuinely helpful and made me feel valued. I drove home in my Certified Pre-Owned Subaru Crosstrek Limited with just 9k miles, at the exact negotiated price, with all documents perfect, a full tank of gas, a fresh car wash, and three free oil changes for the first year. Island Subaru transformed a potentially nightmare first-time buying experience into something positive and memorable. Their transparency, honesty, and outstanding customer service set them apart. 2023 GMC Acadia review
I have owned my Acadia just under one year. It is quiet, stylish, has an easy and very effective infotainment system, owns five star safety and shows every indication of being as reliable as the Yukon I owned for 20 years. This Suv will go to 60 mph in about 6.0 seconds flat. It has 20 inch wheels and tires and will turn better and stop faster than most every Suv. I have front and rear heated seats, cooled seats, a sunroof, memory settings and this is only an SLT. My gas mileage routinely exceeds EPA (with AWD). Driving from Milwaukee to Chicago, I averaged 29.8 MPG at 75 mph. EPA is 26 MPG at 65 mph. I truly LOVE that Car and Driver rates this SUV near the bottom. Better for me. I have the Home Run. The OWNERS of the GMC Acadia rate this SUV higher than Highlander Palisade, Explorer, Telluride and all the rest. Count me among them. FYI, not a GM employee, just a happy customer.

2020 GMC Acadia review
For the most part I am happy that I bought my 2020 GMC Acadia however I cannot believe they did not provide a locking gas door and there's no gas cap therefore my car is 100% exposed to people who might want to steal gas out of the car and I'd like to add they trim the back size there was no need to do that it would have provided much more room appreci ate it if the sides and the top went straight back instead of contoured aside from those two things again as I said before I'm very happy to own and drive my 20/20 GMC Acadia thank you.

I was able to contact a salesman after hours by text and arrange for a viewing the next day. When I finally arrived on Saturday evening my selected vehicle was standing by for a viewing and a test drive. Afterwards we did the paperwork and I was helped by the salesman in making a domestic wire transfer through my banking app on my phone. No cash or checks necessary! Once the wire went through the service department changed the oil, detailed the vehicle and set the tire pressures. I was able to make arrangements for a delivery to my home saving me a trip and several days of anxiety. My salesman kept me informed at every step. The vehicle I chose was in great condition inside and out which speaks to the quality of the vehicles on the lot. I feel like I got quality service even though I didn’t purchase the most expensive vehicle on the lot, by a longshot. I also had the opportunity to purchase a great warranty for my vehicle, which I found to be surprising that it was available at all. I look forward to working with Kearns again in the future for my next big purchase.

East Hills was great to work with: clearly a professional and efficient dealership and Paul Whaley, my salesperson, was incredibly thorough in answering my questions and fully accommodating, but never pushy. Karen Rose in Financing was just as through, accommodating and patient with my questions and her pup, Mia, was a joy to meet. Raul, not my salesperson, made for very pleasant conversation during my wait. While I just purchased my car, I've no barometer to guage long-term support/customer care, but I've no worries that East Hills will be just as accommodating (and if not, I'll update this review). When it's time for my new truck, I'll surely return.

2021 GMC Acadia review
My 2021 GMC Acadia is by far the best car I have ever driven. I always feel very safe and secure in it as it has many safety features, like a warning light on the side mirrors a car is approaching. I love the helpful guides for parking. It rides so quietly and comfortable, too— like on a cloud!

2021 GMC Acadia review
Just purchased this vehicle a little over a month ago. Love the ride, the comfort of the seats, and, the body style. My only complaint is that it drifts to the right and the steering wheel is several degrees to the left after two trips to the dealer where we purchased it. I will probably have to pay to take it to a known, excellent alignment shop.

2020 GMC Acadia review
I purchased the 2020 Acadia SLT new, I love my SUV, the ride is so smooth and the Bose system is killer, definitely a sharp looking SUV.One thing I would add is side interior cargo lights, the overhead light is not enough, other than that it's perfect and the dealership Delray Buick GMC those guys are awesome they take great care of my SUV.
