I have owned a Hyundai Veracruz for a long time—I love this. One of the best for its money and reliability, it dedicates itself to you. If you maintain it regularly and with quality, it will succeed. I loved its practicality and size. Veracruz is a gas guzzler, but considering his dedication, it's good to ride in the city and great on the highway if you forgive him. You do not expect crazy performance from a big, heavy SUV. He is not designed to race. However, it has enough torque and horsepower to stay smooth and quiet on highways and in cities. You barely hear a V6 idling. The steering is decent and light. For instance, you are not tired from driving this SUV. The cost of maintenance is affordable. Of course, it has certain expensive elements, as does every other manufacturer. Not delaying services and not expecting the Hyundai Veracruz to be a racing truck are the two aspects that matter most.

Today I purchased a 2017 Nissan Sentra SR and it was a great experience. My salesman, Arman met and exceeded my expectations. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Answered all my questions. We have owned our '08 Veracruz since 2012 and it currently has 220K miles on her with no real issues to date. This has been an amazingly reliable and comfortable vehicle and I consider it one of the best cars I have owned including several Luxury Japanese brands. The 3.8L V6 is good power for this vehicle and while the '08 doesn't have all the techno-centric gadgets of newer cars, the interior is spacious and comfortable for extended periods of driving. 2007 is when Hyundai released the Genesis Sedan and the Veracruz was, essentially, the SUV version of the Genesis Sedan with the same engine very similar materials and features used. While Hyundai went on to create a luxury brand around the Genesis nameplate it is unfortunate that the Veracruz didn't find a home under that same brand. It should have. It is a great car that I highly recommend.

The Good? Getting great gas mileage if you can stand to resist the fast lanes! The Bad? Push Button CVT transmission The Ugly? While engaging from Park to D or R, the vehicle tends to drift before engaging or requires multiple attempts to work! the 2012 Hyundai Sonata is a smooth comfortable car with a potential flaw that Hyundai has, in my opinion, addressed adequately. First the Pros: It is stylish in both the interior as well as exterior design. It is comfortable, even for me at 6'3" and is not tiring for extended periods on the highway. The fuel economy is good averaging for me about 32 MPG with mostly highway driving. The engine has reasonable power when needed and is generally smooth. The cons are that the 4-cylinder Theta-II engine that the Sonata Uses, (as well as the Santa Fe and Kia Optima and Sorento) has a known flaw that causes the #4 cylinder connecting rod bearing to wear out prematurely causing engine failure. Hyundai has recently extended the Engine Warranty to a lifetime warranty on these engines and that includes if you bought the car used. I think this is a reasonable response. My Sonata suffered this exact failure 5 months ago at 164,000 miles and the engine was replaced with no pushback. The car carried an original 100K mile warranty which is still considered industry leading so, legally, any car over 100K miles Hyundai and Kia could have stuck to their original warranty agreement and taken no action. But that is not what they are doing. One of the reasons I gave Korean cars a try several years ago was the lack of response I got on a Japanese brand known for their high quality that also had a known failure point but took no action after the warranty expired. Because of Hyundai's ultimate response I still highly recommend the car. if you have a higher mileage Sonata, my advice would be sure you have some sort of roadside assistance, so in case you experience this same failure, you will not be left stranded. The good news is that in the rare instance you experience this issue, you should receive a new engine.

Nice looking vehicle goes good in the snow but the 2.4 liter motor is junk I had to get mine replaced overall very reliable suv.

Charge over MSRP and add xylion protection for over a thousand dollars. Wouldn't remove it or price match on kia carnival.

Best car in its class. Bought in 2008. This review is from 2019. Surprised Hyundai stopped making this car. 7 passenger and still room for luggage. Those back seats fit real people. Not dolls. Engine is a little wimpy and it does not handle like a porche but for less than 20K. Thats what we paid new it is more than enough. I hear Genesis may make its own car. However I think the Kia and Hyundai will have bigger vehicles first. Our next vehicle is likely the Sante Fe. Seats 6 and gets better gas mileage. Oh and I own a genesis. What can I say I like 10 year 100K warranty

I have owned over 10 different midsize SUVs from the Mazda, Blazer, Highlander, land cruiser, and others. I have found that the palisade is by far the best I have ever. Now, if I could just figure out all of the electronics available, I would be very very happy.

back again and would like to say i just came back from a cross country trip from boston to L.A. and back. three adults and enough luggage to last 2 1/2 weeks for each individual along with a grill and cooler. The trip was amazing the car was smooth driving 85 mph on I-80 for hours. We put approximately 7000 miles on this trip and only suffered a flat tire in new mexico. I currently have 163000 miles on my 2017 azera limited and to this day not a single check engine light or mechanical problem to date. If you are looking for a family sedan with reliability and safety without the hefty price tag check this car out you wont be dissapointed

It saved my life I was in a bad car wreck a couple weeks ago in this car I hit a deer and drifted into a tree and flipped 5 times and the inside lit up to help me find my phone to call the police and my radio and steering wheel still worked to help call the police the inside was sturdy not one thing was crushed into the car definitely would recommend

This 2018 is my second Sonata. Hyundai addressed all the issues I had with the 2012 I owned. All I've done is oil changes, brake pads, tires. The car has been flawless, the transmission is very smooth, though I liked the 2012 transmission slightly better for the shift strategy. Technology package is fantastic. Dynamic cruise, lane keep assist, auto emergency braking... Almost drives itself. The car is still humming along like a sewing machine today.

Best car I’ve ever owned , it checks of all the box’s , plus the hybrid gives you great gas mileage and surprisingly lots of power . I’m 6ft 3 and fit comfortably and find myself volunteering to drive . Great car

Fantastic automobile. I love it ! It's exterior beauty, It's interior and generous features and it's power. I have the 2014 limited. I still get inquiries about the car. It's unfortunate that Hyundai squeezed it out for the Genesis. Perhaps profitability....?? I will keep my Azera since it's such a wonderful car. If Hyundai brings it back to the states I'll make the purchase. By the way I have owned Audies and Bimmers and they are superb drives, but the Azera has what they don't. Luxury and power at a fair price.

Great fit and finish in and out. I don't think there is a better highway cruser for the money. I'm used to European cars and the turning radius is not as tight, making it tough in Montgomery County's tight parking lots.

My Husband recently bought this vehicle for me after my 2019 Nissan Rogue Sport's ENTIRE computer system went out . I absolutely LOVE it! It makes the 4 cyl. Rogue seem like a TIN can. Wish I had gotten one wayyyy soooner. Whoever had it before me, 1st owner owned it for 9 years, 2nd for a few years, and now us, FOREVVER....

Have a 2020 Sonata SEL with convenience package and it's now 11/24. 26 thousand miles and never had an issue. Car is comfortable reliable and my wife and daughter have our their feet down when I wanted to get another vehicle. My daughter wants it in a few years as I drive carefully, service the car every 4,000 miles. She wants a free car with under 50k miles that will last 200k miles. I have taught her well. She understands a good value. So glad I got the 2.5 non turbo as I believe the engine will be worry free for another 175k miles
