Great Service to make a Happy Customer

My wife said that she would like a car for our anniversary. So we kind of decided on what to spend, new or used, but needed heated seats, navigation, and push to start. After a couple of dealers, one sales person recommended the Kia dealership up the street. We spoke to Carlton, the sales manager, who asked us to work with Doug, one of his salespersons. Doug was great, he showed us a few of used Sorento’s on the lot, which had the options we wanted. We test drove the one in our price range, and eventually purchased it the next day. We left the dealership, for dinner (Daniels Broiler). While on interstate 5, the car broke down, and we were stranded on an off ramp. We immediately called the dealership, and asked for Carlton, He jumped into action, calling a tow truck, having one of his employees come pick us up, and calling the Highway Patrol, to make sure we were safe as we exited to the pick-up vehicle. Once back at the shop, he had the other used Sorento, which was $6,000 more for us to drive, while the broken Sorento was going to be repaired. He was so apologetic, that he requested to pay for our dinner. We left for dinner, and the next day when Doug called, we asked him to check what type of deal they would give us on the loaner we had. The first Sorento was an EX, and the loner was an SX (the highest level of that year). We talked a bit, and after Carlton contacted the V.P. of sales, we worked out a great deal, to purchase the loner, just above the price of the first Sorento. They even gave us Weather Tech mats and detailed the few scratches. His goal was to make us happy, and they did. Carlton, Doug, and Performance Kia, thank you. Great job.
