Chevrolet Camaro

Redesigned for 2016, the sixth-generation Camaro sported a sleeker, more modern appearance and mechanical upgrades to back it up. Both the coupe and convertible were lighter and had a smaller footprint than the prior generation. Entry-level Camaros were powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder that made 275 horsepower; optional engines included a 335-hp V-6 and 455-hp, 6.2-liter V-8, with a six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic for transmission choices. For 2017, the powerful ZL1 returned with an available 10-speed automatic transmission. A new turbo 2.7-liter four-cylinder engine arrived for 2019, along with updated styling cues like a redesigned front end and new wheel designs. To commemorate the end of the sixth-gen Camaro’s production in 2024, Chevrolet offered special Collector’s Edition Camaros that featured unique body paint, stripes and badges.

After an eight-year hiatus, the Camaro returned as a 2010 model. This generation of the Camaro took to the streets with retro-inspired design cues that were a significant departure from its predecessor's curvaceous styling. The base engine was a 304-hp, 3.6-liter V-6, while the uplevel SS was powered by a 426-hp V-8. An RS Package added flashy exterior cues. The 2012 model year saw the V-6's output jump to 323 hp, the debut of a 45th Anniversary Package and the addition of a monstrous ZL1 model with a 580-hp, supercharged V-8, among other performance goodies. A track-ready 1LE Performance Package for the Camaro SS arrived for 2013 with a slew of handling and suspension upgrades. Beginning in 2014, a racing-inspired Camaro Z/28 making 505 hp with its 7.0-liter V-8 was offered, and all Camaros received updated styling.
