2020 Honda Pilot review
Waited to give an honest review. 4 years later, I know have 109,000 miles on my 2020 Pilot Tour. The bad: It developed the known crackle sound coming from the speakers. This was fixed under warranty twice. The second time not coming back and has been fine. The looks are "meh". My wife's Nissan of similar trim level has a far nicer interior and much fancier seats. On curves the "warning" light flashes on my dash and the steering wheel shakes sometimes if a car is coming from the other direction. It's annoying, but I hear a problem for many manufacturers with these safety features, not just Honda. The Good: I consider my Pilot practical. It does everything well, just not flashy. My previous car was a 2012 Honda Pilot that I put 190,000 trouble free miles on. This Pilot with an updated transmission feels MUCH quicker. It is much easier to drive. It handles well, averages around 24 mpg on my commute (non expressway), and has been trouble free outside of the speaker issue. It hauls the family well, with lots of room, especially if the 3rd row is not used. I put on the dealer installed trans cooler and trailer hitch to tow a couple of waverunners, which it hauls easily. If you can get past the "ok" styling, it is a car that does everything well and my reliability has been very, very good so far.

My experience shopping for and ultimately buying a new Kia EV9 from Ourisman Kia of Bethesda at the end of May 2026 was exemplary from start to finish. Kevin Flores, from the sales floor, was friendly and helpful. There was no pressure to buy, I was able to see multiple colors and variations of the EV9, and there were none of the stereotypical car sales games. I was given reasonable numbers, Kevin worked with me and the management team to make sure the lease numbers I ended up with were a good fit for the car, trade, and life circumstances, and while there was some extended waiting between accepting a deal and getting final paperwork signed, that was largely down to me opting for a walk-in visit and purchasing same day, on a busy day - and Kevin kept me up to date as things progressed, while making sure everything that could be done ahead of finance office visit was done (including car detailing and charging top-up, preliminary paperwork signing, getting personal items out of my trade, etc). When it was my turn in the finance office, Troia Collins was equally great - acknowledging the time I'd already spent at the dealership and quickly getting through the remaining process without rushing me or skipping any important info. She fully respected what they knew about how I'd be using the car and other factors, and while she was sure to offer every available benefit and explain implications, she didn't press on any of the optional extras. Finally, a note on facilities: while situated in an on-street storefront in a busy urban area -- an unusual setup for a car dealership -- the space was easily a class above any other Kia dealership I've stepped foot in, inside and out. It was comfortable and tastefully decorated, while also maintaining a friendliness and welcoming atmosphere and that oft-pretentious upscale aesthetics often mean is lacking. I love the car, and am glad I made the hour long trek to Bethesda based on the positive reviews I'd seen rather than looking at options closer to home. The inventory is great, the staff are friendly and knowledgable, and at the end of an admittedly long day, I couldn't have been happier; Highly recommend.

2020 Honda Pilot review
I have always wanted a Honda Pilot and bought a 2020 model anticipating a great vehicle. It has been back to the shop SIX times for issues with the drivers side mirror. It is supposed to be a fancy automatic adjusting mirror, but instead self adjusts up beyond where I can see in it. The dealer's technicians have tried many things, but still claim they can't recreate what I am telling them I really don't know where to turn now.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Mr. G’s Review:😎 Dateline June 2026: When it comes to buying a used car, there’s always the feeling that if you wait until tomorrow, you might find a better deal. I needed a vehicle and had found one I liked, planning to purchase it the next day. The night before, I came across a vehicle at Universal Auto Sales Fredericksburg that immediately caught my attention. I went to see it, and I knew it was the one. We spent most of the day negotiating and eventually worked out a deal that included a generous trade-in allowance, cash down, and financing terms that I was comfortable with. I drove off the lot very happy with my purchase. What happened next is the reason I’m writing this review. The following morning, I received a call from the dealership. They told me that after I had left, they had found a lender willing to offer me a lower interest rate and wanted to know if I would come back in so they could redo the paperwork and save me money. I was honestly speechless. They had already made the sale. The deal was done. Most dealerships could have simply moved on. Instead, they took the initiative to contact me and make sure I received a better financing option. To me, that’s the kind of thing that demonstrates integrity. I returned to the dealership and signed the new paperwork with the lower rate. The entire process reinforced my impression of the staff. While they may not be related, they treat customers with the warmth, professionalism, and teamwork of a family-run business. This isn’t the typical “I got a great deal” review. It’s a review for anyone who may be nervous about buying a used car and wants to know they’ll be treated fairly, honestly, and with respect. Good deals can be found anywhere. Finding people who genuinely look out for your best interests after the sale is much rarer. If you’re looking for a dealership that values integrity as much as making a sale, I highly recommend visiting Universal Auto Sales Fredericksburg. Great vehicle. Really like everything about it. It has all the safety features a vehicle could have, making it safe to drive. It has just enough power and gets great gas mileage. It offers reliability with the Honda name. Comfortable with plenty of seating!
